Staff were friendly and nice to see they are following health and safety quite seriously when assembling the bowls. Food Their food had always been pretty staple, where you can either select a fixed menu setup or build your own poke with a choice of base/protein/toppings. I also like that they have an option to do salad or soba noodles besides rice as the base. I went for the Aloha Honey Ginger Salmon (crab meat slaw * pineapple * seaweed salad * masago) and Mauna Loa Spicy Shoyu Salmon (edamame * spicy cucumbers * spicy seaweed salad * masago) They've got daily specials too, so it's nice you don't have to break the bank. We asked our server to cancel a food item shortly after ordering -- it was something small, just $7.99 -- but they completely ignored the request and were fighting with me to pay for what I ordered. When the item came out anyway, we reminded them that we had asked to cancel it. Instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, the server just wouldn't let it go. No effort was made to make it right. It's not about the $7.99 -- it's about the lack of care or accountability. Good customer service means listening and not making guests feel like an inconvenience. I canceled my order completely, which, with everything else that I added, was well over $60. I was so appalled by the way I was treated, even willing to pay over $60 for lunch, that I just left. We won't be returning. Conveniently the manager was "on vacation." What a load of $&@! If you want to be treated like an inconvenience and be talked about poorly in a different language, this is the place for you.

It was about a 15 min wait after placing your order. I got a custom bowl and paid extra for two proteins, salmon and beef. Both tasted delicious. The salmon was a little too fresh I would of preferred of it was marinated or tossed in the sauces prior to. Speaking of sauces the Mango sauce is really good!!!!!!!!! I also tried the smell lemonade. It was good and refreshing not too sweet which I appreciate. I ate the entire bowl but I will say it came to a point where I wanted to leave some leftovers but it just looked too small to leave for the next day so I continued eating

The protein variety is pretty good here and it's fun to build your own and choose your favs. The first time we tried it, we got the classic Salmon and shared it because we already had eaten dinner prior to that. It was super spicy (like kimchi spicy but minus the sour flavor)... So we drank SO much water. The second time, we decided to get more tame sauces and could actually taste all the delicious flavors of the poke. The owner is super nice. It's fairly quiet inside the restaurant and doesn't have any smell to it. The bubble tea was pretty good too! I got the classic lemonade which was basically fizzy lemonade. Been coming here for years, but just started writing yelp reviews…read more The best poke bowl in Toronto, in my opinion, and one of the best in the world (I've been to Hawaii, where it originated from, and still think this is amazing). Food: 5/5 - I get the lava blaze every Monday or Tuesday and it is fantastic. My personal spin on it is having it with grain blend, take out the orange fish eggs and replace it with seaweed salad, as well as take out the fried onions and replace with green onions. It is fantastic and I never get sick of it. Service: 5/5 - The workers are nice and very efficient, because the place gets super busy. Awesome folks! Ambiance: 5/5 - It's a take out spot, so there isn't really an ambiance, but it is a nice vibe of a place! Feels like a poke food truck but that's in a small store. Overall: 4.5/5 - I give it a 4.5/5 only because it is a bit pricey. $18 for a bowl, however, they really do use good quality ingredients.
