When she got it home and put batteries in it, it didn't work. We called the store, explained the situation, and also explained that we live out of town and wouldn't be able to return within their normal 7-day exchange period. We were specifically told by the manager/employee we spoke with that an exception would be made because we lived out of town and that we could exchange it the next time we were in Wrightwood. They even took down our information. We returned today expecting them to honor what we had been told, only to be told they wouldn't do anything for us. It's not about the $14. It's about standing behind your product and honoring your word. We did exactly what we were supposed to do--we called, explained the situation, and were assured that an exception had been made. To come back and be told something completely different is extremely disappointing. What makes this even more frustrating is that my family has made a point of supporting this small business year after year. My wife, mom, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, and sister-in-law all shop here, especially during the holidays. With everything the Wrightwood community has faced over the years--from fires and evacuations to flooding and severe weather--we've always felt it was important to spend our money locally and support the small businesses that help make this community what it is. That's why this experience is so disappointing. We weren't asking for a refund or special treatment. We simply wanted to exchange a defective $14 product based on an exception that an employee had already promised us. For a business we've intentionally supported year after year, I would have expected better customer service and for them to honor their word. Unfortunately, after this experience, they've lost our business. We will spend our money elsewhere.

They hand walk you through the process and have INSANE depth on the level of sophistication and nuance to get each product exactly the way I wanted it. I had a lot of issues redesigning when the design wouldn't properly be applied onto the shirt or tote or jacket or other items and that never happened here. The colors are vibrant, darks are deep and rich as well. Lastly, they're great with customer service and receiptiveness! The level of customization made it really easy for me to get each product, design, quality, and price aligned easily!

Unfortunately, my recent sellers chose a company on their own, and in my opinion, they were greatly taken advantage of. The experience reminded me just how exceptional Phil and his team at Downsizing Solutions are. Phil is, without question, one of the best estate sale professionals I've ever worked with. To give some perspective, the company my sellers used spent only three days going through the home, while Phil typically dedicates two to three weeks to carefully sort, organize, and price everything so each item is displayed and visible. This particular home was filled with high-end items, many brand new and countless tools and collectibles stored in every room and closet. The other company didn't set up enough display tables, leaving many valuable items unseen and underpriced. In contrast, Phil and his team use every available space, even setting up tables in the backyard if needed, ensuring that everything is visible and well-presented. Phil consistently draws large crowds, often with hundreds of people lined up before the sale even opens, and his sales generate strong returns for sellers. He also goes above and beyond after the sale, working closely with clients to organize donations and provide documentation for tax write-offs. It's difficult to see clients taken advantage of, especially when they simply didn't know the difference in quality and professionalism among estate sale companies. I did recommend Phil, but they chose someone who was personally connected to the deceased. It was a hard lesson learned, and I want to make sure others don't have the same experience.
