Update on review because I'm honestly disappointed! This was my favorite store and I used to come here at least once a week. Now I go maybe 1 time every 4 -5 months . Prices have gone up by a lot! This is a thrift store and items are being sold as if the items you're buying are new. I'm disappointed honestly. I get texts from the store saying they miss me because I haven't shopped here in a long time. Well now you know! Bring down the prices and maybe I'll return. Otherwise I'm good!

This place is cool. You need to know prices tho, cause some things are priced high (ashtrays were $6.99, almost as good as brand new ones and I come to places like this to save money). Same with some of the female clothing, could go to Marshalls and get brand new for a few bucks. The staff members are very nice, polite, professional and very helpful. There is a private parking lot with tons of parking

Beaon House is a great place to find a variety of treasures. The place is organized, has a variety of items, good parking, welcoming and friendly employees. High five goes to all the employees, especially the following Timothy, Kyle, and Nathan! We - The Betanzos Family - give this establishment 5 STARS

Overpriced and not much worth picking through. Selection is weak, and nothing really stands out. Definitely not worth the stop.

They got Levi's denizen jeans priced at 12.99 that's all I needed to see. Been to this thrift 3 times can't believe how bad the prices are.

Ask the Community - Beacon House Thrift Shop - Long Beach

Do you take beddings and comforter sets, like pillowcase and bedsheets ? How about small appliances like slow cooker or mixer?

We do! You can drop those items off at either of our locations :)

Hello. Are you accepting clothing donations during COVID? They are clean women's and men's clothes.

Yes! You can drop smaller donations (anything that can fit in a standard trunk) at our store during business hours, 11am - 7pm daily. You can also schedule a donation pick-up through our website at www.beaconhousethrift.org/donate, as well find…

Hi I have a two piece sectional couch that I'd like to donate. Do you offer pickups for furniture donations?

Yes, we do! However, donations of sofas/couches and other upholstered items must begin with an approval process prior to making arrangements. Please email us a description of the couch along with photo(s) to thriftshop@thebeaconhouse.org.…

Staff was friendly , greeted us as we walk in and "Thank you ", when we exit the store. Sadly this location does not participate in the weekly color tag discount sale like some of the other stores. So far the store arranged clothing by like items . unfortunately the back of the store has a foul reek smell of urine. We didn't find anything worthy nor purchase .

The lazy people in their loading area couldn't even be bothered to emerge from their dark inside perch like bats or help me with the 6 trips of items from my truck parked on the far side of their parking lot. One woman just yelled, "Throw it all in the bins" like it was garbage. Absolutely no "thank you," "have a nice day," or even "drop dead and don't bother us again." When I asked for a receipt she said "We don't give those out any more. Scan the QR code!" OK... so I scanned the QR code and guess what? It demanded my email and sent a link that simply said, "Email not found or link expired." WTF!? Goodwill claims "Your Donation Changes Lives!" Indeed, after today's experience, I WILL NEVER DONATE TO GOODWILL AGAIN IN MY LIFE! Just yesterday I donated hundreds of socks and other clothing to L.B. Rescue Mission on Pacific Ave. and to Salvation Army on Alamitos. Staff at both places were appreciative, friendly and helpful. In comparison, the lazy f---s at Goodwill acted like I was dumping a PortaPotty truck on them. Now I wish I had.

I've sold there about three times now. The store is organized, easy to navigate, and the prices are decent. They never have a lot of shoes in my size though; I'm an 8/8.5 in women's, and that section is always sparse. They always have tons of 9s, 10s, 5s, and 6s... The staff is always stylish and friendly. Definitely my go to when I want to switch out wardrobe pieces since they let you trade for store credit or take cash. This time I took cash, but usually I choose store credit because you get a little more.

Since that time it has remained one of the best go-to spots for thrifting in the area. Of all the thrift shops in the South Bay, undoubtedly Savers never ceases to amaze. As can be expected, this thrift store offers all of the things you would expect to find: clothing, shoes, books, records, toys, kitchenware, electronic items, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Plus, they are constantly stocking new items, so every time you go in to this business you're guaranteed to see something new. I know a lot of people talk about the prices at this thrift store. For pretty much all of the items I find them to be very reasonable. In fact, you can truly find some one of a kind items for incredible prices. In terms of the clothing, yes, they are a bit high in their pricing compared to other thrift store chains. For some people, they may not want to spend $12.00 to $20.00 for say a used shirt. Though this is not always the case, a lot of their clothing is fairly expensive. This is just something to keep in mind if you haven't been here before. If you're going to be shopping for clothing at Savers, you've pretty much have got to expect to pay the top dollar for it in terms of the used market. This is a necessarily bad or good, and it isn't a criticism, it's just the way Savers operates. Overall, this is a truly good shop. I can't say enough about this place and the staff here are always super nice and friendly. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to thrift. You never know what you're going to find. Ventilation is much better here compared to the warehouse from before, and they've taken care to add some fun murals throughout the store. It's possible they put the popcorn machine away for the event, but I'm hopeful the next time it'll be back by the entrance; it's a staple! My main critique with the former space was that much of the costume jewelry and trinkets were behind glass. Part of the fun of antiquing for me is being able to touch, feel, and engage with historical pieces - it seems like the new setting has solved for this. I found a fantastic tapestry finger purse from JR Miami 1950s-1960s for $20 (one of the ladies who works there told me she nearly bought it that morning) and a sweet $3 footed teacup I'll upcycle for my plant collection, I recognized some of the booths, so I'm glad they were able to move with LB Antiques. If your dog is well-behaved, they are also super dog-friendly here and your pooch will have a field day sniffing all the textiles and curios. My only remaining gripe - and it was a gripe when the space was still Joann's - is the parking can be gnarly getting into! Between the pub and Pilates, the plaza can get pretty busy and the parking spots need to be repainted,
