I haven't had to use one since we've lived in this neighborhood, but have noticed Washingtown DC nearby, so I went there. This is definitely a no frills, no perks, old-school laundromat. No wi-fi, no drink or food vending, no public bathroom, mostly older looking machines, a few marked 'Out of Order'. The top-loader wash machines I used were $2 a load, dryers were a quarter per seven minutes. The seating is a mish-mash of plastic lawn chairs strewn about. There's an old tube TV with antenna channels, and a payphone that's actually operational. I checked. And that's about it. My rating is based on how Washingtown compares to other laundromats I've used in the past, and this functional but dated place is definitely lacking in niceties. Truly meh. A couple positives, though. It wasn't busy, no problems getting machines. And easy parking next to the building for lugging stuff in and out. If your priority is a laundromat without a crowd, and bare-bones amenities are adequate, Washingtown might work for you. If I had to regularly use a laundromat, it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

It's much, much cleaner than Washboard Willy's in Albion and the Washboard Willy's in Medina. The bathroom smells and there are usually weird notes people left behind, but that's to be expected. One day when I was doing laundry there, a man who works there was doing maintenance and he was very friendly. But a different time I went there, there was a homeless man hanging out there who kept saying how his tv at home was broken so he was watching the game here. Yet he literally had a shopping cart full of stuff sitting outside the front door. A different time I was there someone left half a pack of cigs on a table with a note that said "free".

Womp womp womp. I was a little skeptical to drop off my husband's suit here just based on the not…read moreso hot yelp rating. I ended up dropping it off anyway because we were recommended by a family friend. Originally, the woman at the counter said that they would not be able to have to suit done until Monday. I mentioned that I needed it for tomorrow and she went in the back to check with the cleaners, and then she came back out and guaranteed that it'd be done by 5pm today. To give them a little extra time, I stopped in around 5:50pm to pick up my items. The girls at the counter were very friendly. However, on the suit jacket and the dress shirt were ready and they told me the pants wouldn't be ready until Monday because all of the cleaners went home early. I'm not too sure why all the cleaners would go home early without all of the orders being done. Also, there was no manger on staff for me to speak with to resolve the issue. So, I asked for the pants back at least so that I could wash and press them at home. The girls couldn't find the pants... so I had to wait nearly a half hour before they could find them. When I asked if I could get a refund on the pants because they weren't complete, the girl mentioned that only managers are able to provide refunds. The only upside of my visit was that the staff was friendly and respectful. Unfortunately, the cleaners simply weren't efficient.

You can always count of them to launder or dry clean as specified and in fair time. Also, there is a competent tailor available who does wonderful work, also in a reasonable amount of time. All this, plus very friendly service and reasonable prices are all great reasons we've been coming to Towne Cleaners for years.

Coins only, but there is an ATM as well as bill changer. Always an attendant on duty. Small parking lot on Porter, a few more spaces on Lakeview. But the laundromat is open 24 ours. Lots of op for good parking spot. I see a review here with one star. Think they have this confused with someplace else. Lots of machines, machines of 3 or 4 different sizes. Places to sit. Televisions to watch. Some vending. Clean restroom.

This is what I found. Melted laundry detergent. It's hard as plastic and there's no way fixing that. $275 comforter down the drain because of this place. I try to write only positive reviews but they had to see this and didn't say a word to me when I picked it up.

And then took another 6 months or so under construction. But wow, it looks great now. They have baskets to move loads around, plenty of machines and change machines too. Sadly they have the radio and tv both blaring on different stations, so that's not pleasant. But if you only wants to drop in some laundry and then run an errand or sit in your car, it's fine.

I had to walk in rain in slides to go get a bottle if water. One of the reasons I went was the variety of vending. The ice cream machine was empty. The snacks were either completely or mainly empty. The big draw for me is being able to use plastic for washer and dryer instead of putting in quarter after quarter. This laundry is always very clean. The attendant is always helpful and people are friendly. In addition to change machines, there is vending for anything you might have forgotten. And the wash 'n fold service is simply great.

That's why, even though I usually launder at home, I chose Monday morning last to take my wash to Laundry Time. My sad habit of procrastinating resulted in laundry piling up. Three bags --at least 3 loads at home-- would take me all day, and down and up the stairs at least 6 times. Sheets, towels, clothes. Knowing a laundromat would be quicker, and no stairs, off I went. I mentioned to someone where I was going and was told there's a laundromat much closer... on Elmwood just past North. The hundreds, thousands of times I'd driven past and I never noticed it. I'd been a few times to the Golden Dragon, and never noticed Laundry Time next to it. Now that I know, it will be my go-to whenever my wash grows too large. And I will also take my comforters there just as soon as Buffalo night time temps stop dipping into the 40s. Laundry Time has a wash and fold service. The attendant, Tamika, explained the rates by weight and times for drop off, and that comforters are flat charged by size. I have to say she was also very helpful to this short person (me) who couldn't reach the top of the washer to add soap. The rest room was neat and clean enough, though the attendant will have to unlock it for you. In all, I had a fine laundromat experience at Laundry Time. I will be tempted now and then to let my wash pile up on purpose. Oh, one last tip: if you think you want to grab lunch or supper from the Golden Dragon, it is closed on Monday. Hope I remember that next time I do my wash at Laundry Time. P.S. I noticed on posting that it says Elmwood Village location. In truth, 220 Elmwood Ave. is much closer to Allentown than it is to the Village.
