I had a very positive experience with Ben. I recently found myself visiting the Bay Area, and experienced unexpected computer crashes with my 2011 17" Macbook Pro. In panic, I wrote to Ben late at night. He responded by early the next morning ,and we set up an appointment for that afternoon for diagnosis and solutions. Before I even had the crashes, I had been having extremely slow performance for months, and wasn't sure what to do, having tried CleanMyMac and other approaches. Ben recommended replacing the hard drive with a new solid state drive. When he installed it, it improved everything by 1000%. But then there was a strange issue with the power hours after the installation. I called Ben and he said to come back and he would figure it out. He spent some time researching approaches before I got there, and then did great analysis and figured out the obscure system error and resolved it. Now my lap top is like brand new, and I still get to have a 17" screen, which is no longer available new. Before working with Ben, I thought it was time to buy a new lap top. But I didn't have to, and saved a lot of $$$ going to him. But equally positive with the results, was Ben's professional and welcoming manner. He is a genuine person who sees his work as more than just a job, but a way of service to others. That was clearly apparent working with him. Had a great experience working with Ben. I had an 2009 iMac that had it's hard drive finally give up the ghost. Ben really knows his stuff! I was never tech-savvy, but as a new business owner, i needed to get my tech life organized and running smoothly. After just three sessions with Ben, I have made enormous progress decluttering a decade's worth of neglect, and have gained confidence in making my devices work for me. Just over a year ago I contacted Ben Rosenthal to gain his insight and knowledge regarding my desire to purchase a laptop that would be dedicated solely for business & business-related matters. I already knew I wanted a computer that would seamlessly & reliably, communicate with my iPhone and not be so vulnerable to internet viruses as some PCs so..a Mac it was! I consulted with him regarding my needs for a new computer and how I wanted it to function. The collaboration was focused & pleasant & it was mutually concluded a MacAir 13" was the best fit for me and my specific requests. Ben kept me abreast of the best values for new MacAir in any given week, however; in a honest look at sustainability and (indirectly) leaving a smaller carbon footprint, I selected a Refurbished MacAir from my local Apple Store. I actually felt better purchasing a used item because as Ben had pointed out to me, Refurbished Apple computers returned to Apple, Inc. (regardless of the reason) are going to have far more checks conducted the second time around than the "new" ones. Nonetheless, I had never used an Apple product with the exception of my iPhone and needed to embark on a huge learning curve from my traditional PCs of the past. Ben was consistently patient and encouraging as he guided me through the initial setup and transfer of data to my MacAir and during subsequent follow-up lessons.
