EBTS said the port couldn't be replaced and suggested I plug the mouse into a different port (with a blue side). I did, and doing so let me use my mouse. read more

After weeks of struggling with the network in our business, I decided it was time to call for help. I found reviews for East Bay Tech Service on Yelp, and and immediately called and left a message. I had a call back from Jason within a few minutes, and set the appointment for just two days later. Jason was really helpful. I thought I had sorted out all the cables, switches, router, and modem, but clearly not well enough. Jason traced multiple cables throughout our two floors, eliminated the unused ones, and set up our network to run properly. We have a wired and wireless set-up, and he set up the secure POS terminals and printers to work on our wired ethernet, and our cameras, music, and less important devices to run wirelessly. This was the perfect solution, and now everything is running smoothly again. He also gave us advice for the future, but did not try to push additional services or products that we did not need. I really appreciate that Jason was willing to crawl around on the ground and sort out all the cables that had created a somewhat chaotic network over the years. He was in and out in two hours and worked really hard. I thought the price was reasonable for experienced IT help. This is a late review, but we felt that it was still necessary. We hired Matt from East Bay Tech to come in an repair some technical and network problems we were having and to do some basic organization. Not only did this not happen, we were also charged three times the amount that we were originally quoted. Matt spent a huge amount of time doing something that should have taken just a few short hours, did not fix our problems, made a huge mess of our cords (when in fact we had brought him in to fix and organize them) and left us with two problems we didn't have to begin with. The worst part of all was that when we spoke with him about all of the above, and the fact that we spent alot of money but nothing was really done to fix our initial problems he offered us a discount as long as we signed a confidentiality contract stating that we would NOT give him a bad review (Just goes to show how honest and truthful he really is), he did not even offer to come back in and fix the problem. We were left to repair his mess on our own. We would not recommend his services to anyone in the future and hope that he will now pay more attention to the needs of his customers. read more

After geryrigging our internet connection to get it to work and then having my 13 year old daughter splice and dice her computer to feed off the crippled network connection the poor thing finally gave out and we were sans internet connection. So we called Matt in a panic and he showed up the next morning right at the appointed time, we anxiously explained what we had all done to try to "fix" the internet connection, he calmly went to work and within an hour reestablished our original network connection, and set it up so all 3 of our computers would be networked, and even fixed my printer so it would finally print and scan.
