I hired this company several years ago. At that time, they were called "Sustainable Solutions Partners," and Aaron was their electrician who installed my 240V outlet box for EV charging at the apartment where my fam has been renting for 15 years. Aaron did a great job, all on his own, and he did it all in one day. Not sure who got the city permits for us, but that was also fast, although it was not just one day. Now, I think my particular installation involved running a new line from a power pole, down to the building's meters. Then from the building's meters back up the building (new conduit tacked onto the building there), and overhead to the parking spots in the back. It looked like a big job to me. But like I said, he did it in one day, and he did it by himself! I got a nice rebate from Edison, and another rebate from the IRS. My particular installation was about $1400, I think, and the rebates were $800, I think, all together, at that time. Very nice.I hired this company several years ago. I have never had a company treat me so poorly. They built the system years ago and it hasn't worked for over a year. They promise to come out and refix the broken solar panel board that I already paid once to fix. I have called two to three times a week for a service person to come out and they keep promising I would get a call back but nothing. It's been over a month and no service tech has called. After getting a bunch of quote from a ton of PV installers here in the so-cal region, I stumbled upon them at an AQMD event. Asked to get a quote from them, and unlike all the other companies out there, there were no pushy sales tactics, no funny business. They were actually one of the few people that climbed onto my roof to take measurements and what not before I signed any agreements. A lot of the other people simple sent a salesmen to my house to talk about things I already knew! Anyways, they replaced our main electrical panel, redid the conduit I had running down the side of the house, and installed 23 panels on my roof, 12 of them on a reverse tilt. Very neat and clean job. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to contact them if I ever need to expand. read more

These guys do good work, but if something goes wrong they are no where to be found. They replaced a charging station for me, for an electric car that had a recall. It took 7 months to get the original unit (not their fault, or so they say) and when we got it back it stopped working after one week. They have been promising to come back for the last two months. I gave them 1 star because once they leave your site, they are truly gone. Use them at your own risk. read more

Sustainable Solutions Partners (SSP) has been our go-to home modification partner for the last two years. SSP first made recommendations on our 25-year old water heater and installed our GE hybrid water heater last year. The project finished smoothly and fast, so we decided to go with them on our next project. This year, SSP (Abby, landscape designer) re-designed the unusable/ugly 1,000 sq feet hill behind our retaining wall into a functional, 4 leveled terraced garden with a seating area, stairs and two secured gates. It was designed with drought tolerant herbs and succulents, natural cactus fence, planters for vegetable garden, while using environmentally friendly materials. Abby and William (owner) worked with us on cost, materials and design. SSP made the project simple and easy, and worked with us on the cost. Abby even came back two weeks after the project was completed to give us a walk-through on maintenance and answered all questions regarding the up keep. Even when, SSP ran into issues (they found slate rock where the seating area was supposed to be and couldn't bring in any heavy machinery because of the slope of the hill) the price that was stated in the contract never went up. All the SSP workers were kind and friendly with our neighbors. Adam (foreman) and Abby were patient in explaining the process and are knowledgeable in what they were doing. We look forward to working with them again when we are ready to install solar panels on the roof. We love that we have this partnership with SSP, especially because of their wide-range of services and high-quality work. read more

Bill installed my electric car charger, and I paid him less than the price Nissan quoted me, and he did an excellent job. Recently, Bill dramatically improved the lighting in my home, making it more energy efficient, attractive and functional. He also improved the drainage system in my back yard, saving the life of a lemon tree and several other plants. They are just completing my second pv install (different house). After my first, the main owner died and I was concerned about whether they would be able to continue in business. Not only did they, but they are very proactive. They called me about the first site and sent someone out to evaluate the system. (It was fine, but nice of them to take a second look after a few months.) I have had several dealings with different people as Sustainable on the first system and they have all been very responsive. Then, when my neighbor cleared some trees and I got sun on my roof, I called them out to look at this roof. (I got two other bids, too, just to be sure.) Again, several different people, all doing their particular job, all EXCELLENT. I am very pleased with the price, quality and aesthetics.
