That means living in a community with other men from all different walks of life, geographic areas, age differences, gender and/or sexual preferences. In reminds me somewhat of a military organization, in that people from all walks of life, economic positions, careers, etc. live together. This is in fact part of the treatment in learning how to become tolerant, share community responsibilities, self-govern (to a limited extent), and become a contributing member of a community. For some it is difficult, in that they have never had the experience or requirements to do so. It's about growth on an individual basis, in relational and interpersonal skills, in self-confidence, reliance on others, and examining the basis of your specific issue. Whether it's a substance or process addiction, there are many similar foundational actions, behaviors, traumas that contribute to our (clients) issues and helps build a bond between us (clients). One of the strengths of the organization is that nearly everyone of the staff, both support and therapists have been clients at Prescott House and are in recovery themselves. This gives them incredible "street creds", as they have been on the clients end and understand the issues the clients are dealing with. They also know how to get a client to look at themselves, take responsibility, learn how to change behaviors, thoughts, actions, and alternatives to the substance/process of choice. They are active in also working with the family of the clients, (those left to sit in the mess we left), and provide a space for family members to share the impact on them and integration back into the family, with boundaries, relapse prevention programs, relationship building plans. They also use whole person approach with using various outside practitioners, from spiritual advisors, fitness/health growth, life coaching/yoga, outside activities, meditation and mindfulness classes. These are things that helped me while a client and after when back home repairing relationships that have caused trauma of various levels, benefits of continuing individual treatment plans and Twelve Step programs. This also includes building support networks both with other clients here at P House and back in our own community. I have built some very close relationships here that will be in my life for a very long time. If you are really ready to do something about your addiction, the impact on your life and the life of countless others and do some hard work and return to have a meaningful life, and enjoy each day as a gift, then I recommend that you give serious consideration to seeking treatment at Prescott House. Can your life change? Yes. Will it be overnight? No, but each day you can continue to grow a little, enjoy life and be grateful. Bob G

My husband has received excellent care at the YRMC-East, in Prescott Valley! We have made multiple…read moretrips to the ER and he was admitted twice. The workers quickly signed us in, and the triage nurses promptly documented the details of my husband's health issues on each visit. As we waited in the ER, he was taken for tests and had blood drawn by workers who were part of an organized team. The nurses and doctors were attentive and knowledgeable. Even the workers who cleaned the rooms were cheerful and efficient. During one trip, William Clark took the time to share more information about my husband's health issues than my husband's past cardiologists ever did. On another visit, Dr. Valdez, Lupe (the Health Coordinator), and the two virtual nurses went ABOVE and BEYOND in an attempt to connect my husband with better health care once we left YRMC -East. Their enthusiasm and need to provide the best care for my husband was heartwarming which relieved so much of our stress and gave us hope! Staff will not follow through on promises. Staff will not provide an email address for provider or reception. (Can you even call it reception since they're not receptive?) Staff do not know how to move fast even for time sensitive situations. Staff do not care...in a field where they are paid to care..for people who need help caring for themselves. Zero effort. Zero cares given. Dumbfounded. SWBH will not craft an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) medical document even for patients who have a thoroughly documented disability and have also been in their own system for 5 years. I EXPERIENCE MORE "LOVE" OUT OF MECHANICS AT AUTO SHOPS.

I came here in hopes of stabilizing my methadone…read moredose, but became very depressed and went into a phych hospital who continued to dose me the entire time at the dose of been at for years. When returning to southwest they dropped my dose 75% and put me into horrible withdrawal. My depression had been getting better until this point, at which then it got worse than ever along with the physical side effects. I was forced to use after losing over 20 lbs (I only weighed 110 to start) not getting sleep in days, and wishing I had never come to this place. They did nothing that has helped me, only stepped my recovery back years. Individually the staff can be great, but there is no communication and you end up paying a hefty price. I would never recommend this place, it unfortunately it's the only place in over an hour that doses methadone. Try suboxon, you will be happy that you did.

Spent almost 10 minutes talking g to doc about the xray being mislabeled then he sent a xray request for the wrong hand. Wasted 4 hrs having to come back for another xray order for the correct hand. Now here for 2nd visit. Arrived 20 minutes early and waited 45 minutes after appt time before being taken back with different excuses about why. But front desk said almost always behind. He came into the room 15 minutes after.

Based on our experiences with their system of communication he would be on his own. We had a consultation with Dr Hijji about 2 weeks ago that went well. We were very impressed with Dr Hijji's approach and direct manner. During the appointment, Dr Hijji instructed my husband to provide him with recent MRI images and told him when he received/reviewed them we could set up a teleconference visit (we live 5 hours from Flagstaff) and he would provide his recommendations. Trying to submit the MRI images and schedule the follow-up tele health visit became a nightmare. I was first instructed to mail the MRI images to their admin offices in Phoenix. Several days after trying to contact his staff through his portal and receiving no reply I was contacted by Dr Hijji's medical assistant and she instructed me to send the MRI images to the Northern Arizona office location in Flagstaff. After sending the images and waiting 7 days to ensure they arrived I then called and received the message from the Admin staff that the images (CD) had not been received, Furthermore, they indicated they no longer offered Tele-health visits. I placed a message to the patient portal to Dr Hijjis team and received a message thru the patient portal that if I wanted a follow-up visit I would need to schedule an appointment at their Prescott location? I had been instructed to send the CD images to Flagstaff office. What kept running through mind through all of this is what would we be dealing with if my husband had the surgery with Dr Hijji and had post-operative needs. No response to my VMs left. No replies to my emails. Absolutely horrible communication from this office if you are trying to get hold of them when you are not in their face at the location. Unbelievable.
