It started when Doctor Coffman spayed Chloe when she was a kitten. Then we moved away and when we came back we got the most amazingly caring vet I have ever met, Doctor Eric Franson. He is an angel! Marlboro Animal Hosptial is very lucky to have him, as well as anyone who gets him as a vet. Eric loved my Chlo Bear as if she was his own. Everytime we came, she'd get off the chair and bump his leg. He'd either pick her up or he'd sit on the chair and she'd climb onto his lap. Chloe had lived a great life, towards the end she was having health issues. Eric worked closely with me to figure out what was wrong and how we could help her health. He didn't make me pay for all these crazy tests that weren't needed. He would check on Chloe often and we'd try different things. When she was ready to go, Doctor Franson came over and put my baby down. It was awful, but he was awesome and comforting. Marlboro Animal Hosptial was great and they cremated Chloe as well as making a clay paw print. Moving on to the vet techs. Chloe, Kramer and I loved Ashley and Bethany. Chloe had to go to the hospital a lot and she just loved them. They were sweet and gentle with her. When Kramer came in, he is the shy one, they took their time and won him over. They were professional and knowledgeable. You are always provided with a estimate based upon the intake, of course this can change, but they let you know that. The hospital is always clean and smells like cookies. Robyn and Kayla are always a pleasure to check in with and can answer all your questions. Of course Mable the cat is a nice greeter as well! I'd highly recommend this hospital and ask for Doctor Eric Franson!!! You won't be let down, I promise.

They have not answered their phone or returned calls in months. My dog ran out of his meds. Nothing!! Found out today after finding a new vet they that closed up shop and retired. No notice to their clients. No referrals. No transfer or medical records. No refills. Just left animals to die!!! There's a special place for people like this.

Last weekend, suddenly one of my dogs had his eyeball protruding from the socket and my vet was not available. But PetMedic gave me an appointment immediately, they ran several tests right on site, and provided medication that reduced the swelling and ended the pain in just over 48 hours. Over the weekend, they checked in with me to see how we were doing and they were very reassuring. Yesterday, the ophthalmology specialist they referred me to for follow up, confirmed that the diagnosis and prescribed treatment from PetMedic Urgent Care were correct and a plan is in now place for a full resolution. I wanted to share an amazing experience I had last night at Boston Road Animal Clinic. My little…read moreboy and I took our kitty to the vet and my little boy brought along his stuffed Curious George - the new vet, Dr Andrew Gestrich, was AMAZING with my little boy. He asked him if he wanted George to get an X-ray and my son was excited about that. I thought he would leave the room with George for a few minutes and then come back but he left and then came back asking us to follow him. He had George lying on the X-ray table and had taken an X-ray of George. This made my little boy's night. He was, of course, extremely good with my kitty too but he sure made an impression on my little boy and I. I'm so happy to have him as our new vet!!!!! Best vet ever!!!!

Back then, the care felt much more personalized and relationship-driven. As the practice has grown, unfortunately, that personal touch has diminished, and visits now feel more transactional. That said, the vets and staff are generally competent and friendly. However, my most recent visit left me feeling quite frustrated. The exam itself cost $100 -- a bit on the high side, but something I was willing to tolerate for quality care. What really upset me was the cost of the prescribed medication: 15 pills priced at $80. Out of curiosity, I looked it up online and found the exact same prescription, in the same dosage, available on Chewy for just $20. When I called to ask about the price difference, I was given an explanation about "economies of scale," which frankly doesn't hold up -- not at that level of markup. A 400% price increase over a reputable online retailer is excessive by any standard. While I still value the veterinary services and will continue to bring my pets here for medical care, I will no longer purchase medications directly from the clinic. It's unfortunate, because I would have gladly paid a reasonable premium for the convenience and to support the practice -- but this level of price inflation is simply not justifiable. I hope they reconsider their pricing structure in the future. Until then, I recommend getting prescriptions filled elsewhere.

Unbelievably scary experience while walking my dog outside of my work today. Bowie ingested a piece…read moreof hard boiled egg on the ground, I immediately removed it from his mouth to then see that it was covered in tiny, black pavement ants. Within seconds, he started to panic. I opened his mouth and he was blue... I immediately called Milford Animal Hospital where it is less than a mile from my work. I told them that I was 2 minutes away, he was blue and barely breathing and her response was, "Sorry, we do not accept new patients." ARE YOU &@$#%&# SERIOUS??? NEVER in my 25 years of working in Emergency Veterinary Medicine would I EVER, EVER refuse to see an animal in respiratory distress, especially to the point that they were blue. Thankfully, it was an acute reaction and Mendon Animal Clinic did not hesitate to ask me, "How long before you're here?" Those would have been my exact words if the role was reversed. Bowie is now doing well, huge shout out to the girls at MENDON ANIMAL CLINIC!!! You Rock! On the other hand, SHAME ON YOU "MILFORD ANIMAL HOSPITAL".... you messed with the wrong girl. I will FOREVER tell this story to as many people as I possibly can, I talk to many everyday. Bad news travels real quick.

Now that we have found Dr Augusto at Milford Animal Hospital, we couldn't be more pleased...he is gentle and reassuring...and knows his stuff. My dog had to have many teeth removed. There were no difficulties and now my 13 year old fur baby is like a new dog...happy, energetic, and always looking forward to his walk and food. If only I had switched sooner he may not have needed to have so many teeth removed. Thank you to the staff as well...great group of people.

Once we explained that we think he was too old to go under for surgery they continued to push the surgery agenda. They were dismissive about the prevent care we were taking for our dog and pushed for their agenda. Both doctor and tech staff were uncaring and expectant for us to payout thousands of dollars without caring about the cost. The environment was uncomfortable if you question any of their suggested innervations. While I don't doubt their qualifications I don't think they have a firm grasp on reality and ordinary people means in trying to help their animals.
