They helped diagnose my beloved cat Achilles with a shockingly advanced cancer. It took multiple tests and procedures in under 24-hours, and they had to deliver a result no one wants to hear. Throughout the process the staff treated me and my cat with such care and dignity. After the initial x-rays, the head vet took the time to acknowledge how painful and shocking it was. Every member of their staff was so genuine. One of the nurses told me she loved that my cat had a mix of black and pink toe pads. Another shared stories of the puppy who would be the last overnight neighbor my cat had. When we went to say goodbye to Achilles, he had a pink paint mark on his forehead that another staff member explained was lipstick from an overnight nurse who kisses all her patients. Our euthanasia nurse made him a plate of cheese, mousse pate, and little crunch treats before he had to go. I am so glad he was so loved in his last hours. Was it expensive, yes. There's a wider conversation here about prices that staff don't set themselves, and pet care in America. But for anyone in dire straits with a pet that needs help, no one here judged me. If he had recovered, I think they would have been cheering right alongside me.

Things to know..... this is a very small office and the doctor works alone with the help of the vet techs - they are NOT an ER (and will tell you so) so if you are not already a patient and your pet is having an emergency you should go to an emergency hospital. If you expect an office run like a brand new vet center you won't find it here but what you will find is the great vet service, at reasonable prices, and care like you may have experienced from vet back in the day. This team of folks goes above and beyond for their patients and it is why many of the people that bring their pets here have been returning time after time for 20+ years.

From tumor removal surgery to dental cleaning he calls to check on our pets. He will also ask about how my parents are doing and their pets when I go for a visit with mine. Colleen is fantastic with grooming. My long haired cats would get shaved in the summer so they were more comfortable and she always made them look so adorable and smell so nice. She's also so kind and compassionate, plus prompt with returning calls. If there is a specialized surgery Dr. Nick can't do, he has always referred me to excellent surgeons. For end of life issues, the staff are above and beyond caring and loving. This doctor truly seems to love his work and it will be such a loss whenever he does retire. Out 5k for meds she should have been given on the first visit and scan was a waist of 2k. Then I call 4 times over 4 days once her 3 weeks of medicine is done, with no call back. A week later someone calls and asks how she is doing. She was supposed to get 6 weeks of meds but since no one called back I get "well it been a week, just keep an eye on her" I asked again if she was supposed to get 6 weeks of meds "yes but she's been off for a week" So they are 100% just in it for money and do not care about your pet. So now I guess I'll hope it doesn't come back as she didn't get the proper amount of antibiotics because of their carelessness. Staff was nice for the most part. Our appointment was efficient and there was no pressure to buy anything extra or get more shots than we wanted. The vet we saw was friendly and my puppy liked her which is a huge plus. it gives us peace of mind to know we have a reliable vet now that we can call for things like ear infections or anything else when needed!

Google was only showing me places like Woof, Gibson's and Waggerz. I've tried Woof and Gibson's so far and Community Animal Inn & Spa is my favorite. The Inn & Spa is located underneath the Hospital. Pull into the same parking lot for the Hospital but go down the hill and there's more parking down there for the Inn & Spa. From the parking lot, you can see the outdoor area. They have curbside pickup now and you can either text or call (but the staff is super good about coming out before you even get a chance to do that). What makes the Inn & Spa better? Their outdoor area and size of the facility. They rotate the dogs to play inside and outside so the dogs get a decent amount of TLC, time to stay on their normal potty schedules, and then time to rest some if they choose. I also feel like the Inn & Spa has more staff attending to the dogs. My dog is always super excited when I bring him here and he's pooped when he comes home. He's pretty high energy and some other daycare places that are smaller don't do the trick for him. The staff is super friendly and personable. They took a cute picture of him when he was playing in the snow. They're also great about feeding him and fulfilling any requests. The only bad is that they open too late! 8AM on weekdays and 9AM on weekends. I would totally take him here more but I have to be at work too early, which is why I had to check out other daycare facilities. Also, a package to make daycare in bulk cheaper is in the works so that's a plus. Overall, if you need a vet, if you need lodging, if you need grooming, or if you need just daycare, this is seriously a one-stop shop for it all. Highly recommend! (Just open earlier pretty please!)
