This is the IU Health - Glendale Town Center practice, a practice devoted to primary care and also…read morepediatrics. There's also a lab available in this office. For those familiar with Glendale Town Center, this is located on the second floor of the offices section of the complex on the side directly off of East 62nd Street. There's a small lobby/storefront area directly next to Mattress Firm that has an elevator that will take you to the second floor. There's also a set of stairs available for those who prefer. I needed to establish care with a new primary care physician as my previous one relocated to Shelbyville and is just a bit too far away for me. I'd previously looked at appointments here, however, they were a couple months out and I skipped it. However, because I attend an IU Health clinic elsewhere they were able to get me in within a couple weeks. They do have automatic doors for those who need them. That's a plus. I also noted very quickly that this was one of the better looking and cleaner IU Health clinics I've experienced. I arrived a good 15-20 minutes before my scheduled check-in time and checked in at the front desk. Because I'm an established IU Health patient, I didn't really need to do much else. I waited in the waiting room until I was called. I was taken back in a timely manner. They asked me how I usually got weighed (I don't usually as most clinics are not set up for wheelchair users) and I did note they didn't have any of the modern tech that would do that without a scale. I was taken into an exam room - very small room that would definitely not be considered ADA compliant. It was so small I had to move quite a bit in order for the employees to get around me. I did like that they had an exam bed that was lower to the ground and adjustable. However, this was definitely not an appropriate room for a wheelchair user. My doctor was Dr. Boyce. We had a nice conversation about my needs for the day. She only works part-time in the clinic and we also discussed that. It was a fine appointment - not outstanding, however, there was really nothing wrong with it. I was somewhat hesitant to establish with IU as they are not the top tier of my insurance, however, Dr. Boyce seems nice and this is very close to my home. So, it should work. My hope is that in the future I can utilize a more appropriate exam room. However, overall, this was a solid experience with friendly staff and a warm, comfortable atmosphere.

I encountered Dr. Yadlapadi for an endoscopic ultrasound today to explore a suspicious concern…read morearound my pancreas.I'd intentionally requested a female physician due to a trauma background and was pleased to be referred to Dr. Yadlapadi. From what I'd heard, Dr. Yadlapadi had moved from a different IU Health location. She's an Assistant Professor at IU School of Medicine and has specialties in gastroenterology and hepatology. I first encountered Dr. Yadlapadi on the day of the procedure. I'd heard from her office, of course, prior to the procedure. They'd offered an appointment if I felt I needed to talk to her prior to the procedure, however, I opted to go straight into the procedure. She was aware of my trauma background including my family's negative history with this procedure (which is considered fairly straightforward in most circles). She was kind, understanding, and explained thoroughly what would occur, the risks, exactly what we were looking for and what it would mean if we found certain things, and then she came in after the procedure (after I'd had a bit of time to clear up cognitively) and explained what she believed the results to be and the test results we were waiting on. The procedure went pretty much as expected. It's an outpatient procedure and I bounced back rather quickly post-procedure. While I have my issues with IU Health, I will say they do trauma-informed care better than almost anyone in Central Indiana. Dr. Yadlapadi let me know it would take 2-4 weeks to get one particular result that would ultimately give us the best answers. That said, she indicated being optimistic and explained very clearly how follow-up would occur. I was very pleased here - expertise was top-notch and yet explained accessibly. Kindness and compassion was clear and open. Presence was great and really reduced my anxiety about the procedure and possible results. I would definitely recommend for those needing to explore an endoscopy or endoscopy ultrasound.

Such as making appointments, returning phone calls, sending referrals, they are completely rude and I wish Doctor Morgan knew it but they intervene my emails. I hate to put such a horrible review attached to Doctor Morgan "the morning appts for chemotherapy people in the afternoons are for radiology people and since you're not doing either I'm not sure what to tell you" quote from Linda in her office staff. It's been six months and she is still on the case. My numbers are all pretty good now but I still don't feel great. She has been really good about finding me some alternative medicinal approaches by suggesting a natural-path, acupuncture & natural supplements. I was followed by Anna Edwards, MD, a family practitioner with Community Health Network, for a…read moreperiod of about three years until her subsequent marriage and birth of another child led to her leaving the practice to focus on parenting for a bit. I've decided to edit my review because, upon reflection, I realized that my review of her as a physician was being tainted by my concerns about the overall practice. While she certainly had an influence of practice standards, ultimately some of my negative experiences occurred as she was transitioning out. Thus, she's not really to blame. Truthfully, I loved working with Dr. Edwards. She was my second physician with the practice and I immediately felt a click with her as we shared similar personalities. She also tapped quickly into my resistance to seeking help and worked hard to build trust. I became a "priority" for her and she made it well known that if I called I was to get through and to get scheduled. There's no question that she went above and beyond with me on several occasions, though I've never been one to go to the doctor on an incredibly regular basis. She made note once of probably trusting my own opinions about my care, I liked that she was also confident enough to challenge me when necessary. By the time we did actually have a semi-emergency once, I trusted her enough to follow-up on a urology referral for which I was truly hesitant. It's difficult to get my trust and Dr. Edwards truly had it. I believed she cared and trusted her opinion. As a result, I did more follow-up and grew to feel like my follow-up care was important. It was toward the end that I struggled, moreso with the practice than actually with her. During one time when she was out, I ended up seeing another physician in the practice with whom I just plain didn't click at all. My guess is that this was around the time Dr. Edwards decided to leave, because not long after I received a letter informing me she was leaving the practice and that they didn't have anyone else to follow me. Negligently (and I complained), they referred me to four possibilities - 3 in Hamilton County and one pediatrician. I live in Lawrence and am 50. So, while I had issues with the actual practice I really valued the positive physician/patient relationship I had with Dr. Edwards. I ultimately ended up leaving Community Health Network due to the poor referrals and lack of follow-up, but I think Dr. Edward's influence helped me determine the next appropriate setting and made me better informed to find the right physician for me with whom I continue to be seen.

Dr. Park is trained in both Eastern and Western medicine techniques. He has been able to improve the health of both me and my wife while removing prescriptions from our lives. In my case, he recommended some dietary changes (removing gluten, dairy, sugar, and caffeine) which lowered by blood pressure by 20 points.
