This bakery was so welcoming and knocked my last minute request out of the park. We walked in and ordered this cake day of & it was ready in a couple of hours. The different pastries looked so enticing, but I'll have to try those another time. The cake was perfectly moist & baked to perfection. The buttercream was not too sweet & again, mixed to perfection. I can't wait to try more thing from here

I ordered cupcakes for a gender reveal party and they were absolutely perfect! The service was excellent, helpful, and quick. The flavor of the cupcakes was amazing, they were so soft and fresh and were not overly sweet like a lot of cupcakes are. We did a filling for one of the cupcakes and the bakery did a great job of keeping everything discreet for us. Everyone loved the cupcakes and was asking where I ordered them from. I recommend Suvee Sweets for all your baked good needs!

It seems that bakeries, cookie shops and other joints to satiate the sweet tooth have been popping up in the Northland faster than smoke shops and title loan companies in the past year or two - now that's progress. The newest on Antioch in Gladstone is Suvee Sweets Cakerie. I went in today and took home a small cake on what was their third day in operation. The opening special was a slice of cake with any purchase; so I had a slice of white wedding cake with my 5" Hummingbird Cake for $7.99. no issues with the Wedding Cake, but man oh man was the Hummingbird delicious! With pineapple, banana and cinnamon in the cake and iced with one of the thickest and wonderful crème cheese icings; I have found my new favorite cake! They are not only offering cakes, but cookies, pastries, breads, cupcakes... The front case looks beautiful. Five stars for The Hummingbird Cake!!

This is a wonderful bakery! The staff is always pleasant and welcoming. The cakes and pastries are exceptional. The eclairs are actually made with custard instead of whipped cream, which is how they should be made. However, I cannot let a week go by without buying Susan's Grandma's Cookies, a cinnamon shortbreak cookie like no other. (Just add milk!) Run! Do not walk! I found this gem and so glad I did. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc. everything a sweet tooth might ache for. I could not make up my mind because there were so many options. So of course I went with a flight (6 variety) of cupcakes and a giant chocolate chip cookie. The cookie melted in my mouth. Literally. It was perfectly sweet and enough for me and my husband to split (even though I didn't want too). The cupcakes were dense and moist with divinely sweet icing. Okay, so I ordered a six inch cake, and they up-charged me around $10-13 for adding writing? I was so upset. Their 6-inch cakes are only $20. I don't understand why they up charged so much. And I asked for a double chocolate cake, not a triple and received the triple. I highly dislike chocolate chips in my cake. I'm not sure I'll be back. Seems unfair to make up charges. I know how to bake and decorate cakes so I'll stick to this myself instead of hiring outside. Disappointed. read more

Wonderful hidden gem I stumbled on just recently. I'd been looking for a bakery that offers traditional goods (cinnamon rolls, cookies, and the like), but also had unique offerings you wouldn't find anywhere else. Suvee hits all the buttons. I went in with the intention of buying a Hummingbird Cake (super yummy, by the way), but also picked up some pecan sticky rolls - the hubby's favorite. Nothing disappointed. On the way out I saw they had kind of a "Grab and Go" cooler of various pre-sliced and packaged types of cakes. I completely missed it on my way in because I was so mesmerized with her main display case - wow! Can't wait to go backback and try more goodies!!!! Super good sweets ! read more

This hidden spot had a great selection of cakes and other baked goods. I stopped in for a birthday cake at the last minute and was very happy with the flavor options and decorations. The baker added a personal message to the cake at no extra charge, excellent customer service. The prices were very reasonable (about the same or cheaper than a grocery bakery) and freshly baked. My favorites were a sugar/honey soaked flat cake that tasted like it may have been made with almond meal, and a meringue-topped cream cake. This was a huge surprise to me because I've always hated meringue! I don't like pavlova or macarons, but I loved this cake. They had another coated in coconut that looked like an Australian lamination that was good. I was able to pick up several different gluten-free cakes for my sister who has celiac, so that was another unexpected surprise. Definitely try the out if you're in the NKC area.
