So a friend of mine very generously and very sweet ordered some cakes to be delivered. He didn't realize my address was a post office box and the delivery was scheduled for 11 to 1130 on Sunday. Knowing no one will be at the post office I drove down there and sat there from 10:50 to 11:30. I called the store. They said yeah we released the delivery but it's out of our control now so you have a delivery service you have no way of tracking whether the paid order has been delivered and the only thing your staff can tell me is to call back next week when there's a manager there this store is an absolute joke. I went out of my way to go sit at the post office for 40 minutes and they don't have the decency to say we'll refund the order. My Monday was made when I received a buy one, get one free coupon for a bundtlet cake. The shop is in a strip mall and it's cutely decorated. The clerk was a friendly lady. They always have delicious samples. Today's sample was chocolate raspberry cake, which is my favorite. They have a summer flavor of blueberry bliss that sounded tempting. I told the clerk I was hoping the sample would be Blueberry bliss and she ran in the back and got us a couple of samples. It was delicious! We got one blueberry bliss and one chocolate raspberry. Absolutely delicious! Personally, I was skeptical of the bundt cake hype. I've heard a lot of people confess their bundt cake love to me over the years, but I always thought I was more of a traditional cake kind of person. After some in store browsing, I decided to go with the white chocolate raspberry (seems like a no fail flavor choice, right?). At first glance, I was afraid it would be lacking in the icing department based on the visual appearance of lined icing on top of the bundt cake. Actually there was more than enough icing and I even scraped some extra icing off the cake! The flavor was incredible and exactly mimicked white chocolate raspberry! When I decide to consume a mass amount of calories (AKA decide to treat myself with cake!), I want it to taste absolutely divine and be worth the hours of cardio I will do to burn it off. This cake shop is so good! Sadly I gained weight because I cant stay out of here. I was familiar with the other location but wouldn't drive that far on a regular basis. When this location opened I was happy but thought I would wait until some of the crowd died down to get some. Also I have been on a lower carb diet but once I treated myself to one I couldn't stop! The cakes are always moist & fresh. There is cream cheese icing on top of them & can seem like a lot but if you call ahead they will make you some with light icing. My favor came here is the praline it's pretty similar to a sock it to me cake that I make but it taste better mainly because I didn't have to cook it. ;) Now that I've written this review I will have to go in & get another cake tomorrow. read more

We've tried white chocolate raspberry, chocolate chocolate chip, strawberries & cream, and red velvet. I'd say chocolate chocolate chip is probably my top choice, followed closely by white chocolate raspberry. However, I've never been disappointed with any of their flavors. Their cakes always have adequate frosting, maybe even too much at times (if that's possible)! Ordering online is super easy, you just specify date and time you want to pick it up. I recently placed an order for Bundt cakes for a party. I was told my order would be first on the delivery truck as we had an event to go to. After an hour of waiting past the time they said they'd be delivered, I called only to be told they were busy that day and their delivery window was now from 11-4. When the order finally arrived almost two hours late, the left a dozen not of the cakes off of the order. When I called to find out where the remainder of my order was, they argued with me and did nothing to try to make it right, even though I had paid for the extra dozen. We had to go to our local grocery store to buy something else so there would be enough for our event. I was never reimbursed for the dozen I never received. This is a wonderful bakery with delicious cakes that are not very sweet and are perfectly made. The frosting tastes delicious and you don't have to worry about being overwhelmed with sweetness. I was looking forward to the opening of this bakery as I love bundt cakes. I never visited any of the other locations. I expected to see a variety of different shapes of Bundt cakes and perhaps different toppings on the cakes. I also expected to be offered samples of every flavor available. What was offered was a sample of one flavor, the white chocolate cherry. To me it tasted like a premium box cake mix. I took home a praline pecan small Bundt cake. It tasted like a coffee cake with not one praline or pecan piece in it. Again, this tasted like a box cake mix. The icing tasted like buttercream which was piled on way too thick for this little cake. I removed 3/4 of the amount of icing and there was still too much icing. I was so looking forward to be wow'd by "different kinds of bundt cakes" + "out of this world flavors." But what I got was nothing better than a Bundt cake from HyVee bakeries. In fact I think I might say HyVee has better tasting cakes. The store is decorated cute. They also have greeting cards and other gifts available at affordable prices. Customer service was over-the-top excellent and very professional and deserve five stars. But I'm giving three stars because the cakes are just OK. read more

The National Bundt Cake promotion was a huge disappointment. I got to the store at 9:50 with 15-20 people currently in line(depending on how you the determination of one per household would be) at 11:15 they let us into the store only to ask let us know that all the "free bundlets for a year" cards were gone. How? I was the 21st person in line and nobody in front of me received any. The GM let us know that they handed them out first thing in the morning and those people were allowed to leave or wait in their car but did not need to wait in line. I'm a bit confused as the rules state "Starting at 11:15am, the first 22 guests in line will score FREE Bundtlets for a year!" Had an associate or a manager came and interacted with the customers waiting, I probably wouldn't be as mad. Had they told us that the yearly cards had already been handed out, I would have left the line and went about my morning. I honestly believe the mgmt team did not interact with the line because they knew they would have a lot of pissed off customers and did not want to deal with that. Instead they turned a blind eye. I understand I'm complaining over 12 free bundt cakes but it's really the principal of the matter and the fact that they didn't know how to execute a national promotion properly. I can honestly say I will not be back and I will also let my friends and family know about this poorly run promotion as well. read more

My wife and I shopped at Aldi one afternoon and thought we would try this place. When we walked in a man was purchasing a cake and walked out. Then, being the only ones in the store, we were not greeted or asked if they could help us. There were 2-3 teenage/early 20s girls working. When we decided what we wanted we went up to the counter (a woman had walked in and was looking around) and the girl was looking at her phone, did not look up or ask what she could get us. My wife said "hi, we would like a lemon small" the girl looks to her left at her co worker, laughed at something said "ok" then grabbed a white cake to ring us up. After paying and before leaving the store we realized it was incorrect and told the same girl. She rolled her eyes and said "oh...what did you want" she gave us the lemon but I should note that after paying she was IMMEDIATELY back on her phone and did not look up when we returned to the counter. Some of the BEST cake I've ever had! There's a location opening in Des Moines where I'm originally from and I've told many friends and family how amazing it is.
