I took my pets here for the first time and I have to say that the staff is very friendly. I saw Dr.Barahona and she was very nice. She gave me new options for my littlest one who's been diagnosed with cancer that I didn't know about. I would definitely recommend this place.

Suwanee Animal Hospital staffs are the very friendly, and of course the love our dogs, thoughtful, and I always feel welcomed. We recently lost our smallest but middle doggie in the house named Pepsi. SAH sent our family a card and it really touched me. Thank you, felt like I am being treated like their family. We will see you soon with our two other dogs and this place will be our forever vet!!! Btw, I was recommended by several friends to choose SAH. Seems like many pet owners love you guys as we do.

We had a upsetting accident with our sweet lion head rabbit. I called and was offered an immediate appointment. We met with Dr. Fitzgerald who was extremely kind and took his time gently examining our sweet Snowball. He was thorough in his recommendations and even showed us how to syringe feed the medicine and liquid food to our precious bunny. The office was lovely and front desk staff were very sweet and friendly! Prices were very fair. Also want to add that I had to call with a follow up question the next day; Dr Fitzgerald wasn't in when I called, but returned my call within 10 minutes and took his time to help address my concerns over the phone. I absolutely recommend taking your fur babies here. They will be well cared for!!

Now I cannot rave about our vet Dr Kaala enough. She takes her time, builds our dogs trust, and genuinely cares. From the moment she walks in the room, she is calm and kind, she gets on his level, and she takes her time to let him warm up. She is a wonderful example to her staff and sets a perfect tone. No matter how many times our dog walks away from her, she keeps her cool and encourages him back. She talks us through his care and makes sure all our questions are answered (yes we are those very involved dog parents). Dr Kaala is truly a gem and we are so grateful to have been recommended to go to her. We drive 40 minutes just go to Tiger Tails based of a recommendation from a friend who also drives that far! Dr Kaala is worth it and after two visits now we are clearly not going anywhere else.

The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve.

(THIS WAS SUPPOSED to be a $15-$20 appointment) at the HEART OF SUWANEE ANIMAL HOSPITAL (LINK IS BELOW). Anyway, here is a little background, in GWINNETT and some nearby counties, its hard to find a vet to ear crop, because it is viewed as in humane, IM NOT WRITING THIS TO GET INTO A DEBATE... so, that being said the DR. who preformed my pups ear crop did a wonderful job on her ears and ive seen her litter mates, and older siblings, half-siblings, aunties, uncles and parents ears by the same vet and they look GREAT!. This vet chose the metal sutures because puppies like to play and nip at each others ears, and the nylon ones have come out in the past so we chose that. (Ive owned dobies so I am no rookie to this). Well when my brother got there to the vet here is what happened: 1) They demanded that my brother/mother report the "person" that "DID THIS" because they "BUTCHERED" her ears, and that no "REAL VET" would do this, implicating that it was a barn yard black market job... (as if we would be that stupid as we view animals just as respectfully as a human). 2) After that fiasco, and scaring my poor family, not only did they accuse my pup as being treated inhumanely treated and butchered and went so far as to say "SHE"LL NEVER BE A SHOW DOG"... the tecnician tried to CONVINCE my brother to GIVE HER MY DOG!!!!!! ( I see what's really happening) 3) If all this isnt bad enough, they forced my animal to undergo vaccines that she already had, had her butt probbed for worms, then lied to my family that she had worms, (SHE HAD BEEN DEWORMED TWICE BEFORE AT THE OTHER VET, OBVIOUSLY if she had a sergery she had her shots already,) but instead of investigating my poor mom got persueded to pay $200 SOME ODD change, which was supposed to be no more than $50 TOPS. Same thing happened to a friend of mine a couple weeks ago with their dobie. The breeder de-wormed, and they scammed them the same way, claiming she still had them. 4) AND HERE IS THE WORST PART: SHE PUT MY DOG UNDER, UNCONSCIENCE, to take the sutures out. Which i have on a recorded phone call, her reason was, that my puppy was moving, and wiggling too much to clip them out! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. You really didnt have the patience to clip each loop??? Anesthesia is dangerous (EVERYONE KNOWS THIS)and should only be done under extreme circumstances. She had just been put under 2 weeks before to get the ear crop. That's too close together for the brain to heal from the first time. THIS VET CLINIC IS UNPROFESSIONAL, SCAMS PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY, JUDGES YOU AND TRIES TO FORCE THEIR OWN PERSONAL CONSCIENCES ON TO YOU, TRIED TO STEAL MY SHOW QUALITY TOP OF THE LINE AMERICAN PITT BULL TERRIER, BY SAYING SHE WAS MAMED, (RELIQUISHING THE DOG) AND ONTOP OF THAT RISKS MY DOGS HEALTH BY NEEDLESS INVASIVE PROCEDURES. TAKE YOUR ANIMALS WHO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION BEYOND SCHOOL. USING STAINLESS STEEL SUTURES IS HUMANE AND SUITABLE AND COMPLETELY OK, CROPPING EARS IS NOT ILLEGAL AND SHOULD NEVER MAKE YOU FEEL WRONG FOR IT. ITS A PERSONAL CHOICE. AND IF THEY ARE TOO SCARED TO REMOVE THE SUITURES RUN! IF THEY TRY TO STEAL YOUR DOG, REPORT THEM! STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET. HOW TRAUMATIZING. FYI, Furiosa's ears look AMAZING and I WILL be training and ENTERING HER IN SHOWS WHEN SHE IS OLD ENOUGH. A LITTLE Pom Pom on the tail and very low on the legs. Well, if you look at the pictures, she didn't even get touched on the legs nor the head. She collapsed on the hardwood floor, thrashing and snapping her head from side to side for what felt like an eternity -- nearly 5 minutes. I have never in my life seen Misty like this. She looked like she couldn't even breathe on her own. I truly thought I was about to watch my dog die right in front of me. What makes this even worse is that I was never warned this could happen. The staff rushed her discharge, handed her back to me without any real education or concern, and sent us home as if nothing serious could occur. There was no sympathy, no urgency, no sense of responsibility for my dog's safety. Misty weighs 52 pounds -- in the middle of this seizure I could barely even lift her. I had to drag her limp, thrashing body just to get her onto her bed so she would stop slamming her head on the hardwood floor. No owner should ever have to go through that alone. I even have video proof of this nightmare that I will attach with my review. As her owner, what was I supposed to do in that moment? I trusted these people to keep her safe, to care for her, and instead I was left completely unprepared and traumatized. The lack of compassion and communication at this hospital is inexcusable. I will never bring Misty back here again. Pet owners deserve a hospital that takes the time to properly monitor, educate, and support us through situations like this -- not one that treats our beloved pets like just another number.

I recently rescued a severely malnourished dog and brought her in immediately because I knew something was seriously wrong. I specifically mentioned that she had pus coming out of her vagina, which is a massive red flag for a potentially life-threatening infection. The vet barely spent five minutes in the room, seemed completely disinterested, and never even bothered to properly examine her. He casually listed multiple health concerns, told me she "wasn't in pain" and was just "uncomfortable," then walked out without answering questions or discussing the urgency of her condition. What he failed to explain was that this dog likely had pyometra, a deadly uterine infection that can become fatal within hours if untreated. Instead of treating this like the emergency it clearly was, they charged me around $150 for vaccines and a fecal test while completely overlooking the fact that this dog needed immediate lifesaving intervention. Today, this dog is actively fighting for her life in emergency surgery because another veterinarian recognized how critical her condition actually was. The emergency team was shocked by how severe her condition had become, and even the rescue involved is deeply concerned about the credibility and negligence shown by this clinic. I understand not everyone has unlimited funds, but that does not excuse dismissing an animal in obvious distress or minimizing a life-threatening condition. Telling me this dog was "fine" and "not in pain" when she was septic and dying is unacceptable. The vet assistants and front desk staff were kind and helpful, and they are the only reason this review is not even harsher. But as for the veterinarian involved, I have completely lost trust in this clinic. If you truly care about your pets, I strongly encourage you to seek care elsewhere.
