I do not recommend this orthodontist. I am seriously shocked how they still manage to be in business. It has been 5 years of treatment. My teeth are aligned although the bite is not perfect. But I've gotten past that and just want it to be over because I don't want to deal with this incompetent clinic anymore. Total cost: $6000 and countless hours of waiting in the patient chair because they overbook appointments. That or the Dr is terrible at time management. They have so many clients that they treat you like cattle. Their focus is on making money, not on you as a client or your wellbeing. They will do whatever they can to maximize profit from you even if it is unethical. Eg. take various x-rays every year to show how the teeth have 'moved' but this takes the yearly x-ray away from your general practitioner (Dentist) to check for cavities, unless you have unlimited extended health benefits. They will try to make you use their dentists, even try to sell you botox and teeth whitening. Every time the care coordinator comes at me with a giant smile, I know she's going to sell me something. (The smile is probably because she is looking at me but all she sees is $money opportunity$). The front desk staff are visibly burnt out and morale is low. The office manager is the most unfriendly person I have ever met in the customer/health service industry. Turnover of the technicians seems high. It is disgusting how they move from one client to the next, sometimes without changing gloves. The layout is an open concept but this is terrible for client confidentiality and it is extremely crammed in there so technicians will always squeeze around you. I see lots of photos of the Dr with celebrities, and her on the newspaper. Well guess what, this has nothing to do with the service you are about to get. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this clinic. Please do yourself a favour and continue your research for a better orthodontist, bring your hard earned money elsewhere. Name and 'reputation' are nothing. I regret using this clinic. read more

Dealing with this clinic was the worst dental experience I've had in my life. The staff seem extremely unorganized and treat patients like a factory. I booked an appointment to get my teeth cleaned, get spacers, and take impressions. They did not seem to have trays that fit my mouth, so they jammed in a metal tray much too big which triggered my gag reflex. The assistant held her hand over my mouth, keeping the tray in, for a minute while I couldn't breath. I was visibly distressed. Then they put in spacers (roughly). They left me in the chair for 30 minutes alone until I asked about the cleaning. They forgot about it. They squeezed me in to see the hygienist, who began taking out the spacers. Due to their negligence, the work they already did had to be taken out and then done again. After all this, I told them I no longer wanted to have my braces done there. They still charged me $500 for "records". I was there for 2.5 hours for 6 spacers and 2 impressions, no cleaning. Do not go here. read more

Every other 1 star review sums up this clinic very well. Yes, the staff is unpleasant, but that's not the problem. Most people come here for orthodontics, braces, invisalign and etc. However, they barely care about aligning your teeth and straightening them, ignoring all concerns you might have, trying to sell you extra treatments and trying to convince you to only use their dentist and surgeon. I honestly believe Dr. Cziraki is a great orthodontist, but just refuses to use her skills on her normal patients. read more

I'm quite happy with the Invisalign treatments I had with Dr. Cziraki. It took two years, as originally planned and I am now using retainers (one of them being a lingual wire on the bottom teeth). In terms of my treatment, everything went smoothly because the invisaligns are pre-moulded to progress on a certain schedule and all you have to do is commit to it. Meaning, wear the elastics and wear the aligners as prescribed. Any issues I had, I reported to Dr. Cziraki's staff and either the staff or Dr. Cziraki would correct my course of treatment as necessary. Sure, as other filtered reviews have mentioned, Dr. Cziraki isn't in the office all the time due to other locations but I made sure to schedule my appointments when she was in the office. I think the issue here that irked me as well is that the office has batched breaks so they take appointments for X number of weeks and if they're off for Y number of weeks, you have to wait until everyone's in the office again. It's not a continuous daily schedule like other orthodontists. Plus, treatment only happens at one location - I once tried to schedule my appointment at the downtown location and they refused. Have my teeth been corrected to the perfect position as I would've liked? Well not 100% but enough that my teeth are straight again, my bite no longer creates the sharp pains I had before, and I'm happy with my smile. As Dr. Cziraki explained, adult teeth are a bit more stubborn so I can't expect my teeth to be absolutely in perfect position as they would be in my youth. Braces or Invisaligns? I've had braces before and those are a complete pain. Brackets can fall off, wires poke and cut, and dental movement gave me bad headaches. With invisaligns, all I really had to worry about was sharp plastic rubbing against my lips but that could be fixed with filing down the plastic. Also, the dental pain from movement wasn't as severe and there was no need for Tylenol. I must admit, invisaligns were probably much pricier than the braces but it was worth the trouble. A dentist friend of mine recommended to shop around but it was a little too late since I had already made a down payment. Plus, I'm still glad I went with Dr. Cziraki despite scheduling issues. Her staff is attentive and, like I said, I'm happy with my treatment. read more

The dentist at this practice is so rude and has no grip on basic manners, she blurts out whatever she wants to with no remorse. Whlie I think Dr. Cziraki is a really sweet orthodontist, I absolutely dread the staff at their clinic. The majority of them at the front desk don't know what they're doing and their lack of communication is ridiculous. Every time I'm in the clinic in between sets for my invisalign treatment, I feel rushed. There are 4 chairs in the main room and they are ALWAYS full. It seems like they schedule 4 people at a time and have Dr. Cziraki and her 'assistants' juggle and hop between the stations. 3/4 of the time, it's the staff she has hired working on your teeth. Cziraki, you need to hire new staff or just slow down your new patient intake. Several of my other friends/family were (and some still are ) her patients. They all have a similar bitter feeling as I have towards the staff at the clinic in general. read more

Unfortunately, similar to other comments, Dr. Cziraki's is a business whose primary focus is how much money can be pressed out of the patient, rather than appropriate business ethics like treating patients like people with expectations for quality care for the (ridiculous) amount they pay, not sheep to be moved along with no complaints when major mistakes are made. More than a few times, mistakes have been made in bookings which was entirely on their end (forgot to do the scanning, did not correlate my appointment with the dentist's time). These mistakes would often lengthen the invisalign wear by 6+ weeks each as new appointments would necessarily be squeezed into their busy schedule. I think the major theme in these criticisms, which I wholeheartedly agree with, is that Dr. Cziraki's books WAY too many patients and does NOT supply the sort of quality service you would expect from the prices you pay. Yes, the office is beautiful, but I'm sure there are other offices who deal with invisalign for less cost, and less hassle. read more

I went to Dr. Cziraki to get invisalign done. They wowed me on my first apt there with all the trendy decor. However, I shoulda known something was wrong when the dentist was not there. She splits her time among other locations. Also, the staff who were taking my x-rays and pictures were very careless and less than knowledgeable. I went with them anyways because...I mean, she does orthodontics for celebs, so she can't be that bad, right? Wrong! Dr. Cziraki, herself, is ok. The staff, however, are in serious need of an attitude makeover. Most of them can "talk the talk", but can not "walk the walk". I almost fainted once when they were smoothing out my teeth. They were very rough. The files were all written down wrong so I was given the wrong treatment, as well. The front staff and most definitely the coordinator are all extremely pretentious and refuse to apologize even if they've done something wrong. If I could, I would give them no stars at all. $6000 gone and my teeth are worse than they started out. I hate my teeth more than before. read more

If you are rating excellent surrounding and interior design the office is beautiful and if you have no questions or alternative point of view the staff is fine. But if you have any queries or would like some sort of timeline or update they are vague and rather curt. Sort of like " why are you asking us this?" If they don't want to answer anything, they won't. We don't have the braces off yet ( it's been 3 years) so I cannot at this point comment on the work. Though it seems fine. Avoid this clinic at all costs! In my long experience with this clinic I have had nothing but horrible service. The staff is incredibly rude and short with me every time I visit or speak to them over the phone. Bev needs a major attitude makeover and Sarah should probably learn not to roll her eyes the entire time she is speaking to a patient. Bev is nothing but rude to me every time I speak to her in person or over the phone. I always feel like I owe her something or as if she is paying me for a service instead of other way around. Sarah is constantly trying to sell me new products or procedures instead of properly addressing the issue "why is my smile not aligned yet after all these years??". Their staff is less than accommodating, basically if I ever want to change my appointment time I'll have to wait another month to come in, meanwhile they used to always call me to change my appointment times last minute when they needed to. They have stopped doing that recently but that's probably because I wait 20-30 minutes anyway when I arrive at my scheduled time while Dr. Cziraki runs back and forth between 4 other patients. Don't get me started on the dog running around the office. How is that hygienic? I'm sure some rules are being broken having a dog running around a dental office, jumping up on me while I am being examined, mouth wide open, dog hairs flying around. Dr. Cziraki is very kind but I'm not sure how much attention and effort she is putting into treatments. Her go-to treatment is IPL or filing down of teeth to make them fit rather than creating a correct aligner treatment which should take care of that. I am at a point where I am considering switching to another orthodontist to try to finish my treatment and get the service I deserve, even if that means having to pay more out of my own pocket since I have already paid out the full treatment cost in Dr. Cziraki's office. HORRIFIC "service"...that's about the long and short of it. The prices charged are two to FOUR times the cost of many other Invisalign providers. Their "financing" offers are a joke. We were double-billed more than once and had to constantly keep an eye on how much they were taking from our account. They assured us that our daughter's treatment would be done by a certain time and...the FIRST phase was...suddenly a SECOND phase that we weren't aware of and MORE MONEY to pay. After that, good luck getting ANYONE to answer an e-mail. The staff are cold and uncaring. My daughter said she was scared to go there alone because she felt that "they are angry". Dr. Cziracki is friendly but it's clear that this is just a money factory; get them in, signed-up and out ASAP. Once they have your money they don't give a damn. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

I think my experience could have been better with a different orthodontist. Here's why: - Cziraki's office is over-booked. She takes on too many clients and as a result, appointments are rushed. - When you arrive, you often have to wait a long time to be seen -- due to overbookings. - She doesn't work on patients herself. She has staff do it -- a constantly revolving crew of staff and they are not experts like her. - Mistakes were made on my treatment, resulting in having to make corrections and even more time spent in braces (at least a year longer). What's worse, they denied this was their fault, and fixed the problem anyway as a free 'courtesy.' - Brackets popping off while eating on a couple of occasions, and it wasn't even hard or sticky food. - At one time I was told to purchase my own brace wax (!) Choose a different orthodontist, this office has their hands full. read more

I had Invisalign with Dr. Cziraki in 2005. Throughout the treatment the service was brief and scant. At the finish, my teeth edges were not level and the front teeth did not straighten (contributing to the uneven appearance of the teeth edges). Rather than ask whether I'd wear the Invisalign for longer or something, Dr. Cziraki suddenly whipped out a dental drill and filed my teeth edges down in like 7 secs. She did not ask me if she could do so or inform me she was going to. I felt like her treatment failed to address the goals and she tried a quick fix by cutting down my teeth. I have never recommended her to anyone. This year I decided to stop living in regret and cover her unattractive ortho job with veneers. read more

I bought a groupon (lesson learned) for 3 IPL treatments with the aesthetics team at this orthodontist clinic (another red flag) but was advertised that a dr would preform the treatments (not). After my 1st consultation which was a test on my neck I had to wait another week before I could get the treatment done. Once there I asked a lot of questions but felt the answers were lacking so I did quite a bit of research myself learning what to expect. After 2 weeks of no changes in the pigmentation I called to ask about the lack of results and my phone call was returned but I figured I would chat with the dr on my next visit. Sure enough I was able to speak with her and she was reassuring and informative but sent in another aesthetician to speak with me who had her defences up the moment she picked me up and gave a rude mumble when I corrected her mispronunciation of my name. She asked me why I was so upset (and to shorten this review a bit) literally told me others pay hundreds more $ than I did for my groupon so I shouldn't be so upset! She also told me I should have had 2 passes on my face with the machine my 1st visit which I was not told nor was that preformed. It was like a slap in the face and when I asked to speak to the dr again regarding a refund of my groupon she refused claiming the dr is much to busy to speak with me. The customer service or lack of it, was appalling. Although I was not charged for this treatment I would not recommend this "business". On top of that like the other reviews they are very disorganized and always running behind. Oh and if you do get a deal to try their services be prepared to be looked down at for it. read more

Hey Nancy,that sounds exactly like my storry. I was told it might take less than 2 years, it's been 3 already and still a lot of work to do. And I know why that is happening:they take more patients than they can handle, they never have availability when you need the appointment, you always have to wait a lot more to get the next appointment. Once I had an emergency (they've put the wires wrong somehow and my teeth were moving the wrong way, let alone the terrible pain!) and when I called (3 times) I was told that they cannot get me in, since the problem I was having needed at least a 2 hour app and they couldn't give me such a long app and that I would have to wait till my regular app which was 2 months later!!!! I could not believe that they couldn't get me in for an EMERGENCY of their fault. I would move to another office tomorrow if I could, but the problem is no one want to finish someone else's job. And I could go on and on with a long list of things that have been done really unprofessionally. My advise is think twice before chosing your orthodontist, 'cause you're going to be stuck with him/her till the end of the treatment! But yes, you're right, the office looks great (if that counts) and some of the staff seem to be nice indeed. read more
