History

Established in 1987.

After working for Butterfield & Butterfield Auctioneers as their Texas rep, I launched out on my own as a broker for single pieces of art. I heard about the appraisal classes that International Society of Appraisers was offering and I decided to take them in 1992. I went on to become a certified appraiser in early 2000. Since then I have expanded from just Fine Art to Antiques and Residential Contents. I just love working in this field because I get to help people everyday. I am now appraising the high dollar assets for an important Episcopal church in downtown Houston. I also do a lot of appraisals for Southwest material, Greek and Roman artifacts, folk art, and Native American relics. This is such an interesting business!

A trained marketing professional who was also interested in art and began studying art history early on. She ran a Mexican/South American folk art business and then went with her artist husband to live in Italy and travel the Mediterranean.
