I came here yesterday and received the worst costumer service ever! I was looking around with my friends, and I was genuinely considering coming back at a later time in order to find me a prom dress for this year when the man who was behind the counter comes up to us while we were looking at a body necklace and states "You can't afford this" and while I thought he was joking around and responded with haha it must be millions right, and he proceeds to say that no it's 195 dollars so unless I have 200 dollars then I can't afford and, I insist that this man is joking and I ask him for the price of a dress that caught my eye and he looks and me and walks away and ignores me. I am sad because I was genuinely looking forward to buying a dress here but a business like this does not deserve my money!! read more

I went in there to the Redding Ca store once and never again....and was fat shamed. They gave me a disgusted look and would not talk to me or help me. They walked off and left me and my mom standing there. I was looking to buy a dress for my daughter. she needed a new dress for her date. She is a size medium. JCPenny was nicer and more professional than they were. I give this ****ed up store only 1 star so I can post this review. JcPennys is all professional. Suzies you are horrible with your plus size customers.. your lucky I was in a good mood or I would have bitch slapped that worker for telling me to go eat a salad.. yeah I heard her at the counter. I've been needing to write this review for awhile. If I could leave 0 stars I would. My friend was getting married and had picked out some bridesmaid dresses here for us. We all live in different places in California and had arranged to come to town for our fitting on the Saturday before Memorial Day. We got there for our fitting and talked to the older man behind the counter to let him know we had an appointment. His response "well I'd better call her to see where she is". After a minute or two he told us she was out of town for a funeral. Which, we understand, it's an unfortunate situation that couldn't have been planned for, but literally she didn't call or let the bride know in any way we needed to reschedule. When asked why they didn't call or contact us, he told us that they didn't have any contact information. It seems like something you should alway take down for an appointment is at least a phone number! It was very unprofessional and what made it worse was at no point we got a simple apology or an ounce of kindness. NOTHING. Sure things can't be helped, but a simple sorry would have been nice. We were basically treated as if the store had done nothing wrong and that we were SOL. Honestly we might have bought the dresses and brought them to tailors in our individual towns if we were treated with kindness and respect. It's not hard to offer a simple apology, especially when you completely left a customer out to dry. read more

Wish I could give this place NO STARS!! Had a friend come in the store and was told she could not try on a dress because it wouldn't fit her! This is a store built from weight discrimination and unethical customer service! Shame on this business and the people that work here. Of all people it was the owner herself that was so rude and repulsive towards my friend. Will make sure to spread the news and experience we had with this store. Highly do not recommend!!! We made two walks around the store right in front of the salesperson and she didn't even acknowledge we were there. Even my 12 yr old granddaughter was appalled that they ignored us. My daughter and her friend had almost the identical experience as described in the review from Breanna L. The owner was very rude to them. I won't go into details, to respect the privacy of my daughter and her friend. I was in the mall today and my daughter pointed out the lady who had treated them so badly. I didn't know it was the owner until I had asked her twice for her name, and how to contact her supervisor. She was very defensive when I described what happened and how the girls were left feeling. She didn't take any responsibility for two young ladies feeling shamed in her store. She offered no apology. In fact, she even started insulting me and the girls! It just breaks my heart to think how many ladies have left that store feeling unworthy in some way. There are other similar reviews. She has such an amazing opportunity to pour love, value, and respect into these girls. Hopefully she's not too old to learn new tricks. Every girl should leave that store feeling beautiful; no matter how young she is, what size she wears, or how much money you think she has. You can have your store policies and still treat people with respect. So sad! One of my biggest pet peeves isn't bad service, it's not taking responsibility for bad service. Recently purchased a dress at Suzies as a back up dress for a benefit dinner for Carr Victims. Was told my owner's husband that I could return it. Apparently, they don't do returns on formal wear, I was not told this prior to my purchase. Also I was told by the employee selling it to me that I could return it. While at the store trying to return it, I was offered store credit only. Unfortunately, this was my 1st time in Suzies & I don't think that's a fair exchange when store credit was never discussed for a return option. This will be my 1st & last time at this store & I will make sure to share their inconsistencies to family & friends to discourage future sales. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company & if that doesn't work then I'll put it up for sale & donate the money to Carr Victims because I feel giving back to our community is more important than making an extra buck. since most reviews are disgusting experiences at this store i'll share mine. i was in there for about 10 mins before being greeted and asked if i need help i jus described what i wanted and she didn't say nun and walked away. fast forward abt another 15 mins i had a couple things picked out. she looked at the dresses, looked at me, and asked if i had been measured there, said no so she measured me and said i was a 2x, i had already picked out 2 1x dresses. she said oh it looks like you picked up 1x's watch out for the zippers. essentially telling me the dress won't fit. overall it was a very degrading experience. you'd think a place like this would at least have the common courtesy to not shame you in front of other customers & would want their customers feeling and looking good, but you only get their respect if you're a skinny girl. on behalf of this gross store i would like to apologize to any plus size female who has been turned away from or had a shitty experience read more

Love it! Got my prom dress here for a really good price. The lady was kind and wasn't too pushy like some other shops. She made it very easy and since I needed to order my dress she made it simple. Helped me find my right size. I also got a couple pairs of earrings for only $2. Amazing place! read more
