Great service really makes a shopping experience and I always enjoy visiting the Redding location. I'm a decades long LB shopper and obviously then love the clothes, so this review is more about the service level in the Redding store. I eyed a few items that were in the wrong size and before I could ask, Lonnie offered to look the items up online, and had them shipped to my home. He also offered style advice (as did the other Associate whose name I did not get), on a sweater I wasn't sure about due to the length. Lonnie gave me some style suggestions on how to wear it, and it went home with me. Great, personable, 1:1 service. I got a set of etched coupe glasses, and saw a lot of depression era glassware and other great & unique finds. These items would've been swooped up already if in the Bay Area. The woman at the cashier said that they have a good flow of these items from the surrounding areas that donate, so I don't believe it was just luck. -tons of parking The American Cancer Society describes their discovery shops as "High quality, gently used, and new merchandise, including collectible and vintage items, are donated by the community then curated and sold in our upscale stores." I don't recall the new merchandise part (I skipped over the clothing sections, so maybe it's there?), and I don't completely think it's upscale because the pricing was so good (but definitely upscale compared to regular thrift stores bc of organization, cleanliness, and visual / merchandising displays), but the rest of that description is spot on. Also apparently they have events...?! i receive their text updates and received this "Join us in Redding for our yard art event. Make flowers, fairy gardens, or mosaic pieces. Supplies are low-cost, and we'll have snacks & drinks!" That's so awesome! I highly recommend giving them a visit!
