I hired Zezo (Swaha Locksmith) to re-key locks for my new home. He told me it would be $50 for an electronic deadbolt and $30 per cylinder, then quoted $120 for my job. I brought new, unopened locks: * 1 Schlage Encode deadbolt * 2 Schlage FB50 single-cylinder deadbolt + handle sets After seeing the boxes, he recommended using the Encode's key to re-key the other cylinders, charging $30 x 4 = $120, and giving me one key copy. I trusted his professional recommendation and paid. Afterward, I realized both FB50 sets already had the same factory key code, meaning they already matched each other. The only lock that needed re-keying to match everything was the Schlage Encode, which would have been $50 based on his own pricing. When I raised this, he said he "doesn't look at the numbers" and that I "should have told him." No refund or resolution was offered. A locksmith should catch something this basic and recommend the least work needed -- especially when it affects home security. Sharing this so others can make an informed choice. read more

Want to pay $125 per lock for COUNTERFEIT "Schlage" that's completely riddled with spyware? If so, you should hire this guy. Want to invite him back a second time to UNINSTALL his fake, pervy locks and return your $670; an ever-increasing fee with zero increase in work-load. If so, you should totally hire this guy! But be warned, even with law enforcement there, he'll remove his shady locks, as promised, then PRETEND to return your money. He'll even send screenshots of the "completed refund" only to cancel the transaction as soon as he walks out your (lock-less) door. You'll not only have to call (AND PAY) another locksmith, you'll never get your refund from Swaha ...UNTIL YOU CALL THE FBI. Cyber crimes (spy cams etc) are a Federal Offense, so local police can't do much, other than refer you to an agent with the FBI and of course, a Civil Lawsuit will force Swaha to refund your money so you can buy REAL Schlage locks, which are available at most hardware stores for $40 to $80. read more

I just needed all the doors in my house re-keyed (4 deadbolts, 3 knobs). I was expecting to schedule an appointment, but Zezo said, "I'll be there in 20 minutes". He was very polite, respectful, and professional. He made recommendations and educated me on the inner mechanisms of the locks. One door that gets beat on by the sun is a bit warped and I've been fighting to get it to close for years. Zezo experience knew that with a little drilling and one of his strike plates, the door now shuts and locks now with little effort.
