Fun brewery with lots of beer options on tap, good food, and lots of events! Came for run club on Weds night, fun group of various paces, most stayed for beer after. They also had trivia! It looks like they have lots of events at this space so make sure to check their website or social media. There's a small parking lot but also free parking on the street outside. There's indoor and outdoor seating making it a great spot for groups. I got a flight and particularly liked the s'mores stout! We also got food from one of the on site vendors - it's a pretty cool idea, they have a 3 stall building in the courtyard, which I assume they could rotate vendors in. We got arepas and fried plantains which were both delish, but perhaps a little pricey. Overall, good beer, good vibes, I'd definitely come back!
What a place. They have the best Mexican style lager i have ever sampled. It had the hint of a cinnamon finish in a bold and crisp palate. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable of beer, and warm to talk with.

They also had a great elderberry cider. Inside is a Latin fusion restaurant where we tried the ceviche, which is served with plantain chips. The bartender was nice and interactive and overall it is probably our favorite brewery in Florida so far.
We were here for a Yelp event that I scheduled and we had a fabulous time. Lots of seating inside and out on a warm spring evening. Friendly service from the bartender who convinced Mom to have a mango cider that she enjoyed but she's a lightweight. I had their fabulous "Light Weight" American light and enjoyed it. Swamp Cat has three "permanent" kitchens so there's going to be something here for everyone. I had wings and a quesadilla from one and the other food that my friends had looked fabulous too. Cool brewery. Great service! Fun bartender- Jeremy. Nice patio area with 3 restaurants in cute little block booths. They had a great animal theme that I enjoyed. I tried their Lemon & Lavender Kombucha. It was very tasty. My husband got a flight of their craft beer and really enjoyed everything he tried. Awesome experience!
Finally checked out Ft Myers' newest brewery! Very cool space with plenty of outdoor seating available. Love the imdoor/outdoor bar concept! They had many beers options to choose from, including cider and wine for the non beer drinkers. Beertenders were friendly and generously offered samples of anything we wanted to try. Very convenient to have a couple food spots in the beer garden as well, which we will try next time!

Super-Yelper Bruce K arranged an informal get-together; I thought we'd stay a half hour, then cut out -- mainly 'cause I don't like beer. Well -- Swamp Cat has wine! A couple of whites and some pretty good reds. My husband, who enjoys beer, thought their Pilsner was excellent. People at my table, some of whom ordered flights, were equally happy. I was also impressed with the food. Again, my pre-conceived notion was that it would be on par with a mediocre food truck. (Yeah, I don't like beer and I'm not crazy about food trucks.) Wrong, once again. When I saw what our group of Yelpers was eating, we decided to stay. Afterall, it was dinnertime. I wasn't paying much attention -- T handled everything -- but it appears dishes are made-to-order. There are three tiny establishments with their own menus on the premises. (Again, I paid little-to-no attention!) We shared non-Asian eggrolls based on others' recommendations. My favorite was soft tacos made with Korean fried chicken. We also ordered a Cuban sandwich which was fine, but likely not as good as the empanadas that we should have gotten instead. Buyer's remorse! Swamp Cat has a comfortable outdoor area with plenty of tables. Sometimes there's live music, sometimes trivia. If the weather is conducive and you have nothing to do, check 'em out. Again, this is the last place I thought I'd award five stars. But they deserve it.

They share the space with other small businesses including Don't Give Up food truck! The burger was top notch and the fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. We had amazing service and enjoyed their pale ale, double IPA, and Oktoberfest beers. The live music was a nice touch! I would definitely recommend and will be back!
What a gem!!! Rotating beers in an ultra cool setting. Decent food via two separate entities that are housed in the courtyard area. Live music and dogs are welcome. Highly recommend
Many positive PLUSes. Community Ambience, libation options, in or out, pet friendly, service. The best way to spend an evening with friends. 10 beers on tap; room for 16; food stalls (3) with excellent food. A group of Yelp foodies decided to visit "the new business in town." We will return with more friends in the evening to enjoy the shaded brewery.

I love that the brewery was a former church...it's a great reuse of the building. But, most importantly, the beer was great! I tried 2 myself...the Panther Pale Ale and the Captains Cut. The Captains Cut was my favorite of the 2. The employees working today were all very friendly and right on top of helping everyone. The outdoor area is very nice, but we spent our time indoors with our large group. Just as a side note, the food offered wasn't great, but those are different entities. read more

Good Beer, Try It I had heard about this brewery, just never made it there until today. Our GPS took us right to the corner where it's located, but we passed the parking access. As their website says, you enter their parking lot off of Hough St. It was easy enough to circle the block and get onto Hough. The owners redid this old church into a very comfortable brewery practically in downtown Ft. Myers that also has a large patio area. The brewery, merch sales and fridge with canned beers and soft drinks is at one end of the building. The other end has indoor seating and the bar/tap area that also opens to a sit at bar on the patio side. A small doorway off the patio is where food orders can be placed for their in-house kitchen. It happened to be Tuesday Special, all day, $5 pint drafts and Taco Tuesday special $11.99 for three tacos. We didn't order food, but I did try a few beers with at least 15 taps to choose from. I appreciated being able to sample before committing to buying a full pint and the taptender did a very good job of describing the beers when asked. I started with a Oatmeal Porter. Deliciously smooth and flavorful. I followed that with a Fluffy Mermaid Amber Ale that also was excellent. Cloudy like a weiss, a little hoppy and a nice citrusy flavor. I did taste a sample of the Cider Mill Donut cider that tastes like a cinnamon apple sugar donut. I'm not much of a sour or cider guy, but I think this would be a good choice on a nice hot day. Their website shows all the events that are going on there, with lots of live music and axe throwing. I think I saw a private party room. And the patio is pet friendly so grab Fido and stop in for a fine locally crafted brew. read more

Every time we passed the corner of Martin Luther King Blvd and Fowler Street, we noticed a small old church across the Property Appraiser's Building. For years, there were rumors that the church will be restore. Finally, three entrepreneurs took over the property and started to convert to a brewery in 2024. They named the facility, Swamp Cat Brewery. Our Yelp Friend, Bruce K. (I called him, Mighty Bruce), organized a social event on a Wednesday night, while he is visiting Fort Myers. 13 of us, ventured to try Swamp Cat. With my local knowledge, we entered the parking lot from the Hough Street entrance rather than Fowler Street entrance. As we enter the facility, I found it is peaceful and quiet. How is this different from other breweries? First, the Sanctuary has been fitted to store several hug stainless containers, with indoor tables and chairs, many outdoor picnic tables and a small stage for live music. It is work in progress and they are still working to complete the build out phase. I called this "Outdoor Fellowship Hall". An open bar connects the indoor and Outdoor Fellowship Hall. In addition, a small meeting hall was created to host a small private function. Three rooms or I called Sunday School Classrooms has food vendors. This is different from Food Trucks but dedicated kitchens. Three Food vendors, La Playa 787, Dynamic Street Eat2 and Tiny Bites - Good Eats has setup their kitchens there. This is food hall concept rather than food trucks like Backyard Social by Bonita Spring! The vendors offer, chicken wing, Bang Bang Shrimps, Nachos, Salmon Rice bowl, Cheese Burger, Cuban Sandwich, Tostones, Mofongo, Ceviche, Arepa and many more! The staff at the bar is very friendly. We started with a flight of Swamp Cat's Pilsner, Walking Tree IPA, Hough Hefewizen and Everglades Mist Hazy IPA. When I found out they Waling Tree IPA from Vero Beach, I asked if they have Walking Tree Red or Black IPA. No Red or Black IPA yet! My favorites are Walking Tree IPA and Swamp Cat's Pilsner. I love that piney, light malt flavor from Walking Tree IPA! Perfect for a sunny day at a brewery! I ordered a Walking Tree IPA and a Pils afterward! For food, we had very good prior experience with Tiny Bites - Good Eats. So, we ordered a Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos, Empanada, Egg Rolls. Other members ordered Twisted Elote, Cuban Sandwich, from Tiny Bites. They hit the spot and delectable! The Salmon rice bowl, cheeseburger, French Onion Rice and Pork Tenderloin from other venders are flavorful and savory! On Wednesday night, they have Trivial Game. We did not stay for the game. We'll definitely return to Swamp Cat and take refuge in their "Outdoor Fellowship Hall" for Good Friends, Good Food, Good Beers and Good Time! read more

Went to Swamp Cat the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. It's a cute little place with a "food hall" with some different options. Apparently they have live music also but we came at lunch time on a Saturday and there was no band but the music they were playing on the sound system was good. There is indoor seating and also outdoor picnic tables. They let us sample a couple of beers. Service was great! My favorite was "light weight" it was refreshing, crisp and light. We had tostones rellenos with pork. The portion is big enough to split. It was flavorful and filling. We will try and come back when they have live music. read more

best empanada in town. burger comes with a coffee jam- so unique and so good. fun flights so you can try all the beers. great service. cute spot outside to play quick games while you wait for your order. we doubled back the same day for more empanadas to give out for our friends to try. read more

Love that this place finally opened in downtown Fort Myers. They have a beautiful location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food variety was great and their beers were also delectable! I had a flight to try a bit of everything and was pleasantly surprised at how good the beer was. Can't wait to be back. read more

We loved Swamp Cat Brewery! We sampled several different types of beers and every beer was amazing - got some food. Also amazing. It was so great we bought a pint glass and beer to go so when we were at home on Naples, we could continue our Swamp Cat experience. We can't cat wait to return. read more
