I love getting my hair done here! I have a regular lady named Ashley who is amazing but I tried getting my eyebrows done here with a lady named Kelly and it went terrible. I asked to just pluck the new growth off the middle and she started waxing every where. She ended up taking half my left eyebrow off and now I look like terrible. This wasn't my normal salon, but my salon decided to stay closed for a while due to Covid-19 so I decided to try them. I took a picture of what I wanted, color and cut, and gave it to the stylist, Jessie. She looked at it for 5 seconds and went to work. To say that I was impressed is an understatement! This was the first time EVER that I got exactly what I wanted at a salon. Great color, great cut, great style and she told me the products she used but didn't push them on me at all. On top of it, she was very personable and likeable. The rest of the staff was great as well. Really nice and helpful. This is now my permanent salon. read more

However the nail services are not the best. Both times I've had my nails done they have lasted less than a week. The pedicures are definitely not great. If I could give zero stars I would. It appears they are starting injectables (Botox). I got there a little early and was greeted nicely by the front desk staff. I was a little early, but no one offer me water or coffee. For a SPA, it is NOT a SPA. My skin care provider for Botox was rude, did not introduce herself and had an attitude. Very unprofessional, and she carried the injectables around in box. The room was not sterile. When cleaning my face, she was rough. She talked down to me and over me. They've been sending me email promos ever since, after me unsubscribing no less than 4 times, emailing them several times to tell them to take me off their lists because I don't even live in the area anymore, and even calling them to ask them to take me off their mailing lists. I came in for a very basic facial. Initially I was surprised that the place was so big and has as many services that it did. The staff was very nice. I arrived early filled out minimal paperwork and then was led to the ladies changing room. There were lockers that I was informed that may not lock correctly. I was provided a wrap and a robe and told that I can strip completely or partially - my choice. I thought this a bit odd for a facial, especially as there was no real private area to change (or I wasn't shown). My facial was very pleasant and I was provided samples of some product after. This place is an absolute luxury that is close to home and doesn't totally break the bank. I came for a lash tint & signature facial both with Jill. The gals at the front desk were extremely welcoming and professional. They had me fill out the new client form after offering me a beverage. Then I was taken back to the spa (a completely separate and serene space from the main area and salon) and given a quick tour of the facility. Everything was clean, quiet and relaxing. There was a spa wrap, robe, warm neck wrap and cozy sandals ready for me, along with locker for my belongings. I waited in the dimly lit "sanctuary" where there was chocolate, tea/coffee/spa water, magazines and a fireplace. Jill was punctual to call me back for my appointment and was also very professional but personable. She made sure to inform me of all the processes & products she was using without trying to sell me everything she put on my face. The lash tint is subtle and exactly what I was looking for, and the facial was divine. I could tell she really knows what she's doing & does it well. I was sent home with a bag of skincare goodies. Overall, Swan Cove is a great place to treat yourself, and I cannot wait to come back to try additional services. You will pay more than going to any old strip mall salon, but the experience is worth it. I always prefer to support a local business than a chain as well. Two thumbs up! read more

First, my hairdresser, Laurie, is five star. Love her ! Unfortunately, I could not give the salon staff the same credit. i had a problem with the front staff, that's what brought down the evaluation. check in -- i was in line. A front staff -- she was blonde --after helping a customer , she stood up from her desk. She knew that I was waiting in the other line. She walked around a bit and then went back to her desk and did NOT ask me " May I help you? " when clearly I was waiting for checkin. And there was no customer in her line !! She decided, instead, to pose with the balloons behind her. Check out -- likewise, after checking out , I had to go in line again To get my receipt. Kelly was helping a customer. She looked at me-- I was in the other line --ignored me and she then went ahead and helped another customer. After she helped that custome, she did NOT say " May I help you?" When clearly she knew that I have been waiting. And there was no one else in her line.!! so I went up to her and told her that I have been waiting since she was not helping anyone I decided to go to her. maybe they got scared that I was the only one wearing a mask? I am vaccinatEd with a booster. But I am a healthcare worker and I am still used to wearing a mask . I don't think the staff were snooty because I was Asian. in fact, I don't know why they acted as such?? Or the manager taught them not to help anyone that's Not in your line??-- well, that's not customer service . another --- the friendlier staff who checked me out put in a 40 % tip when I said 20%. I called them and left message to call me back and I have yet to hear from them. if the staff were not aware of their actions--- though I don't think so -- well , they need to learn to be more conscious. The service was great, atmosphere is very pleasant. I will definitely go back for a pedicure and try out other services. However, if you want the reflexology, you're better off scheduling with a massage therapist and not combining with a pedicure. Might be worth $5 or $10 as an add-on, but not $25. read more

Had a wonderful aromatherapy massage with Deanna. She was very sweet, and simply great at her job. I came in with stress, and left feeling great, and am totally grateful for the experience. Horrible communication followed by poor service. My appointment was scheduled for 12:00 and after waiting for 45 minutes, I asked when I was going to be seen. At that point I was told my appointment had been moved to 1:30. It would have been nice if someone would have called and told me this prior so I could have saved myself a lot of time. As if waiting in the lounge area for an hour and a half wasn't bad enough, I then received possibly the worst gel manicure of my life. The manicurist's station was dirty, and she rushed through the entire appointment. My nails started cracking, chipping and peeling after just one week. Save yourself the time, aggravation, and money and just go somewhere else. read more

I've been getting massages from Icey since January this year. She is the best massage therapist I've ever been to! I've had lower back pain and sciatica issues for a couple of years now and tried physical therapy (PT) and a chiropractor but neither treatment helped with the pain. The cost of a monthly massage is much cheaper than I was paying for PT and Chiropractor! It is truly amazing how much better I feel since starting these monthly massages with Icey! Sometimes I think...WOW no more pain!! She is a blessing to have in my life. I've had 2 different types of massages (Deep tissue and De-Stress) and plan to try the others as well. I highly recommend the monthly massages with Icey to de stress and relieve pain. I always look forward to my appointments at the Swan Spa. Everyone is very nice. read more

I love this salon....I never use the nail or spa service as I have my own nail place I have been going to for years. But the best colorist on the Eastern Shore and even as far south as DC is Adam. He is a superb colorist; absolutely superb. The staff are extremely friendly. The salon is very comfortable but with a professionalism attached to their services. Adam and another woman, who's station is across from Adam, are fabulous colorists and cutters. In addition, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to prices in DC/Bethesda/Annapolis. read more

If I could give my experience 0 stars I would. Where to start. First, the morning of my appointment I received a phone call and was told the stylist who I originally booked based on recommendation would not be in and that my appointment would be moved to 1 pm with Ashley. When I met Ashley I had a gut feeling this would not be a good fit but I did not want to be judgmental and I was leaving for vacation on Tuesday and badly needed my grays covered. I explained that I wanted to refresh my hair color root to ends and that the color was close to a cinnamon shade. I showed a picture of me with the hair color and also a model with the same color. I also asked if it was possible to leave a few pieces of hair Uncolored to allow for a bit of contrast. My previous stylist (who unfortunately retired) always did this to give a bit of contrast. There was never an additional charge so I did not even think to ask. Nor did Ashley think to volunteer there would be. Ashley argued with me about the color and selected a swatch that I knew was too dark. I told her so and that I needed a warm color- cinnamon. She took it upon herself to disagree and said that color made me look washed out This is when I should have grown a spine and left, but I did not. The color came out way too dark, made my skin look sallow, and the undyed hair was random, very stripy and did not compliment the ashy brown. The end result was I looked like my torti cat- dark brown and orange. I told her I was not happy with the color and she replied let's see what people think. I then got the shock of my life when I was told I owed 307 dollars when I expected to pay 157.00 for a cut and color. Evidently leaving some of the hair undyed was considered a 212 dollar technique. Stupid me was in such shock, and not wanting to cause a scene paid it. However, on the ride home and after looking in the mirror for a few hours and crying, I called the salon and asked that I be issued a partial refund. I was told that the owner of the salon would contact me on Friday. I waited all day Friday and no phone call. I then called at 5 pm knowing the salon closed at 6 and was told the owner did not come in because of traffic and would call me Saturday. I waited until 3 pm on Saturday and then called the salon and was once again told the owner did not come in. Now, my vacation is ruined, I am out 307 dollars and I feel an overwhelming sense of helplessness. In 42 years of getting my hair done I have never received such unprofessional, discourteous service. I am sure there may be excellent stylists at this establishment but unfortunately I was not given one. Also, the owner is extremely unprofessional for not making an attempt to call when she was well aware of how upset I was because Shelby, I assume salon manager, spoke to her by phone about my situation. I hope I can help others with this review. Asks lots of questions, ask for a definitive price EVEN if you think you do not need to, steer clear of a hairstylist who refuses to listen. And if your spidey sense goes off listen to it and get out of the chair! read more

I typically go for massages but they have a large array of services in the salon including nails, facials, hair, waxing, etc. The salon is definitely elevated, therefore you should expect to pay a higher price point for your services. When you arrive you are shown to the locker/changing area. You then take a seat for a few minutes in their tranquil seating area. At this point you are offered a warm neck wrap, TAKE THE WRAP, tea and water are also available. You are then escorted to one of the massage rooms which are so calm and relaxing. The bed is always warm. If you are new the masseuse goes over a few things before starting, asking you questions to understand your needs/desires of the massage. I had a hair trial and then booked a bridal up do appointment with AJ - she was PHENOMENAL. Probably the best and most talented hair stylist I have ever used. I also booked the salon to do up-dos on my 7 bridesmaids and my mom, and everyone was super happy with how their hair turned out. I'm so glad we went this route and used Swan Cove instead of having someone come to our hotel - we had a wonderful, relaxing morning at the salon and everyone left feeling glamorous, relaxed and pampered. I decided to give this establishment a try for a haircut and a perm. I made an appointment a week in advance. I took off work early to make the appointment. Less than half an hour beforehand, and after I left work, I receive a call advising me that my appointment has to be rescheduled to another day because they have run out of perm solution. I complained that it would have been nice if someone had called me earlier. Then I was asked if I could be placed on hold. After what I felt was an excessive amount of time, the caller came back to tell me that they had not called earlier because they just ran out of the solution. I asked when their next appointment was, and was told it would be a week away. I told them that was unacceptable as I was planning to go out of town before that. They apologized, but I told them they had lost a customer, because a reputable salon would have gone out and purchased a perm from a nearby store or salon rather than alienate a new client. I would give zero stars if possible. Apparently they don't know that a negative experience resonates, and I will recount this story to anyone who looks for these types of services. I assume they just don't care, or don't understand what customer service is all about! read more
