Went with my 2.5 year old. She absolutely loved it! Had the most fun. It's a family small farm, animals are very friendly and the pony rides are the best. Parking is right in the middle of horse back riding and the petting zoo. There were lambs, goats, pigs, baby cows, ducks and of course horses. My daughter loved the pony ride.

This is a free admission petting zoo with pony rides (also free) open in the summer on Sunday's only from 10am-4pm and it is soooooo worth checking out. You can bring quarters to get feed for the pigs, goats, and sheep. There are tons of baby animals that are super cute and all of them are friendly so they let you pet them and not worry about getting bit! It is a fairly small place but since it was free, I'm not complaining! Not many workers lingering around so if there are any questions or issues it may be hard to get answers. I as very impressed with this facility and cannot believe we could have so much fun for free! We ended up staying for a good hour walking around going back and forth from animal to animal. There is even a very friendly cow, lots of horse, alpaca, and bunnies! I can't wait to go back many times this summer! They also have fresh eggs for sale $5 for a dozen. You can rent the barn they have set up with a bar and everything, check out there website for more information on that. It was very easy to get to, right off of highway 41, on Kelly road. Not a ton of parking but people don't tend to spend a ton of time here so it was not hard to find a spot. Truly can't say enough great things about our visit today!

Such a charming & friendly family place with many different kinds of animals. My Hubby & I visit around Halloween time. This farm has a great selection of pumpkins & gourds. They also sell honey & caramel apples. They have pony rides around a big pond. A hayride too. The people who own & work at the farm are very friendly. The prices are low to reasonable unlike other pumpkin farms that over charge so much. The farm also has a private small building for Birthday parties. The family & staff are very friendly & welcoming to customers. This is a great place to visit for all ages. read more

A small family-run petting farm with small animals. The place is easy to find, Great place for families with kids to spend an hour or two here. Kids can ride on the pony but a grownup will need to walk the pony. Test your skills if you ask me. We will be back soon. My kids had a blast! read more

Cancelled 30 minutes prior to event for no reason with no explanation. Ruined my nephews birthday party, unreliable, unprofessional. Very rude while communicating on the phone. Do yourself a favor and find a petting zoo run by more reasonable people. read more

Very unprofessional - Patch 22 rudely canceled 30 minutes before a scheduled birthday party because they double-booked themselves. The family had to scramble to come up with an alternate plan for them and their guests. It was hard enough to book the party due to slow response times and then to be canceled on, so last minute, unbelievable. Unfortunately, I would not recommend. read more

We had Patch 22 bring the petting zoo to our home for our daughters 5yr birthday, and we couldn't have imagined the impact that the petting zoo brought. The pony came as a unicorn! The children loved riding the unicorn, they also had a blast with the goats and chicks! Multiple kids were overheard saying that it was the best day of their lives!! Fun for adults and kids. Would highly recommend! The crew was professional, courteous, and great with the kids. read more

This is a free admission petting zoo with pony rides (also free) open in the summer on Sunday's only from 10am-4pm and it is soooooo worth checking out. Cute little place for small children! A friend works here and loves it for employment. Good animals to be with for a day. Not too expensive either! Visit during Halloween time for a much more enjoyable day. read more

I booked the petting farm for my son's second birthday party. Two employees arrived at my house 30 minutes ahead of time to set up. Everyone including adults loved the animals at the party. The animals were very well kept and well behaved with the children. The employees were friendly and pleasant to work with. I'm very pleased with the services they have provided from booking to rendering the services. read more

They're free to "roam" within their areas. This does mean, however, that seeing certain animals is not always guaranteed. We didn't get to see the polar bear or penguins, for example. We did get to see lions, several species of monkeys, sea otters, a sloth, a giraffe, a bear, flamingos, and more! We even got to see the zebras with their brand new one-day old baby. Such an incredible sight. Hours can be limited (they closed at 4pm on Sunday) so plan ahead. Street parking can be tough and the paid lot is not cheap.

In our case, the approval process took eight weeks. That would have required paying two months of tuition upfront while waiting for assistance. If a center works with YWCA-funded families regularly, it was unclear why no flexibility could be offered given the documented income information we provided. For many working families, paying full tuition for weeks -- or months -- while waiting on approval defeats the purpose of childcare assistance. Families relying on subsidy support should make sure they fully understand this policy before enrolling. To make a long story short if you can't afford the daycare tuition on your own, don't even apply.

Hmm, I would give the animals 5 stars and the people 0 stars, so where does that leave our rating? 2 stars, I guess! We went to one event that someone else hosted, and the kids loved the animals. The handlers seemed unqualified to handle the larger animals (like cows), scrambling to keep them from leaving the makeshift enclosure or trampling the toddlers. But the smaller animals (like baby goats and sheep) seemed more manageable, so we booked an event for just those animals. Unfortunately, we never got to enjoy them because the company canceled at the last minute--by text message--despite our confirmed event booking. When we eventually reached their staff, they were rude and unapologetic; I would have gotten better customer service from the goat. Skip this one; there are greener pastures! read more

Wow, surprised to see a mix of positive and negative reviews here. The animal "handlers" do not seem to handle the animals well at all, nor do they particularly care about them. We asked the names of some animals, and the handler either did not know...or the animals did not have names? And most disturbingly, one of the ducks at the petting zoo got away from the handler. Rather than chasing after the duck, the handler said, "we'll never find it...it's hunting season." I'm glad our kids were too young to understand such a horrible comment at a petting zoo. Finally, when the party ended, the handlers were practically tackling the animals to get them back into the truck. No wonder the duck wanted to get away...and you should stay away too. read more

Patch 22 is such a hidden gem for families! It's a small, family-owned petting farm with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. My 4-year-old son had an absolute blast feeding the goats, sheep, and other friendly animals. Admission was only $10 per car, which is an incredible value. Animal feed cups were $5, pony rides were $10, and we even picked up a fresh dozen farm eggs for $7 to take home. Even though it's not a huge farm, there was plenty to keep my son entertained, and seeing how excited he was made the visit completely worth it. If you're looking for an affordable, simple family outing where kids can get up close with animals, I definitely recommend checking out Patch 22. We'll definitely be back! read more

We went to a birthday party for a friend's young son. He was so excited for the petting zoo to come visit him and was talking about it nonstop. He loves animals and couldn't wait to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately, the pig at the party ended up biting the birthday boy. It was a horrible experience and the petting zoo staff made it worse - they have terrible customer service and were not apologetic at all. The poor boy was crying and it was not a happy ending to his birthday party. I checked back in with my friend a few days later and she never heard back from Patch 22. They handled the situation very poorly. read more

It is my son 3rd birthday and I thought a petting zoo would be nice since there's not many things open during the pandemic. I called and spoke with DAN on a Thursday that morning for availability. Dan allowed my son and I to enjoy his farm and IT WAS THE BEST TIME EVER. We had the entire farm to ourselves. We got very lucky. Plenty of food to feed the animals with. There were so many different animals. My son was so happy and excited. Dan gave us great customer service, great experience and I am absolutely grateful for that! I will be back and I do recommend patch 22. read more

Unfortunately, we had an awful experience with Patch 22. We had booked a birthday party for our toddler, but on the day of the party, they first tried changing the time, and then abruptly canceled altogether by text message! They did not even have the courtesy to call us back, let alone apologize for their mistake. Incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Glad we didn't pay in advance and we would never recommend planning an event with them in the future. read more

I was disappointed that Patch 22 was so unprofessional and noncommunicative. They confirmed a private event date, but suddenly decided not to show up just hours before guests were scheduled to arrive. A stark message that they "would not be showing up" was all that they said - no apology, no attempt to reschedule, no customer service whatsoever. There are many farms in the area that are wonderful, but Patch 22 is not one of them. read more

A big shout out to Patch 22 Barnyard animals. They have been coming to Rolling Hills Manor every summer and bring joy and smiles to our residents that reside here. Best therapy ever! Best place around for pony rides! Reasonable prices and very friendly. On Sundays in the summer they offer self-guided pony rides in their front pasture. The kids love this place! Horse-drawn hay rides, fall bonfires and party barn rental are also available. My favorite place to be! read more
