It was a combination of allergy issues and working in a new office with all kinds of new germs. Regardless, Dr. Wilcox helped me out each time. Not only does he just prescribe meds, but he explains the root of your illness so you know what's going on. If necessary, he'll even draw you pictures :) Since I've gotten used to city life and am taking better care of myself as I get older, I don't need to see Dr. Wilcox as much as I used to. But if/when I do get sick (knock on wood!), I would be happy to go back and pay him a visit. Crossing my fingers that it's minor and not swine flu related.

I'm always able to get a same day sick appointment if I need one. If I only have questions for the nurse then I'm able to call in, leave a message, and have a nurse call me back. The office staff is friendly as well. I only wish that they would send us to St Clare for testing when it is needed instead of St John's Mercy hospital, but I guess it all has to do with their affiliations.

I am probably the exception to his patients in being relatively proactive when it comes to my healthcare and he is usually willing to place orders for whatever bloodwork and screening tests that I request when I see him to stay on top of my health. I had to push to get a CAC scan in 2019 which revealed much more coronary artery calcium than either of us would have guessed based on my other risk factors. However the medical establishment (AHA) only recognized the value of it as a tool for coronary vascular disease risk assessment within a year of my requesting the test so I certainly don't blame him for not recommending it sooner.

At the appointment, which was on time, it was obvious she had reviewed my appointment inches-thick pile of records. She was helpful, asked questions, made suggestions, and together we developed a plan for further diagnostics. I probably won't need to see her again, but I would not hesitate to if needed. She treated me with care and respect, listened, and didn't need to act as though she had all the answers. She also provided a recommendation for a physician in another field who will be better suited to my needs, and ordered lab tests to provide that doctor with information she will need. I was able to get the labs done quickly a few minutes later in the same building complex. Peace of mind and minimal hassle.

This was very unprofessional and not organized at all. The nurse with urology did apologize for misunderstanding. But why don't you know your schedule of appointments. I was sold after my first appointment. If you live in the St. Peters/O'Fallon area, this is your guy. If you live downtown, this is still your guy. I swear he's worth the drive. I've never had a doctor pay more attention to what I'm telling him and genuinely care about what it is that I'm saying... and that's priceless. He's also a pretty funny guy who tries to be "hip" to what's going on in the world and strikes up the funniest conversations! Dr. McIntosh is thorough and knowledgeable, and he'll get you back up and running in no time. I've seen him for typical stuff such as allergies and colds, and he makes great recommendations and always gives me tips that help me feel ten times better. I even had to call the after-hours line once with a bad sinus infection (sure he appreciated that one) and he was still as caring and attentive even though I was bugging him late at night. What puts him above all others is how he follows up and doesn't give up until you've fixed whatever the problem is. For myself, the allergy queen, he prescribed a medicine and a nose spray and had me check in with him 7 days later via the phone, and we spoke that often until he had me on a plan that was working wonders. Looks like I'll be driving that 45 minutes next time I need him!

Dr. McIntosh has been my primary care doctor for over a decade. He is very personable and has an excellent bedside manner. He has seen me through quite a few health issues and always pops through when I've been admitted to the hospital. We don't have all the answers for my health problems but I can't say he doesn't LISTEN to every single one of them. He orders tests and refers me to specialists when needed. I've never felt misunderstood or dismissed which is not something I can say for many many specialists I've seen. To be fair, Auto Immune diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose but I can confidently say Dr. McIntosh is doing everything he can to help me get answers. I would send anyone I know to see him without reservation. *Read up on Celiac Disease, doc! The amount of misinformation from medical professionals on this is criminal and a huge disservice to those who have it. Effects from celiac damage can spill over into almost every other part of your body. Celiac is for life and a negative blood test/scope (after a positive one) means you're doing well GF. it does NOT mean Celiac went away and you can eat what you wish! Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk (which I shockingly have to give to almost every doctor I've seen.)

It's just off 141 on Manchester close to Commerce Bank. Dr Penilla is a very nice doctor and again, the speed that you can get in and out is fantastic. They have handled my insurance with zero issues. I don't have the need to go to a doctor often, but when I do he is who I visit. The check in app has it way off Manchester for some reason and I have submitted an updated locations so hopefully that will get fixed.
