    Happy hour menu
    Cindy H.

Oh bar bevy, I was so excited to spend a girls night with you! But you could not have been more disappointing... The bad service at Bar Bevy began even before we got there. We called earlier that day to ask about the happy hour menu what it included and what the price range was, we did this because there was no happy hour menu to be found on their website. The person who picked up the phone, named Caro, was so exasperated with the call that she literally said "oh my God!!, when we asked and proceeded to place us on hold and never come back. We called again and of course no one picked up the phone from that point on. We had to call from another number in order to get someone to answer. Still, we decided to give the place a shot. Upon arrival we spoke to the manager about our prior experience and were given a round of drinks on the house. Much appreciated and we thought things would start to look up. We could not have been more wrong! Lets just say that the service was non existent, once we placed our first order our waitress disappeared. ANY time we wanted service from that point forward either we had to wave her down or ask a busboy to get her for us, mind you, she was at the bar in front of us the entire time. We ordered an app that never came and when we called her to tell her not to bring it anymore all she said was, OK. At one point we had to get up and go to the bar to place a drink order because she not once came to check on us and we got tired of having to call her over. To get the bill I had to walk up to her and ask her for it or we would have never left. A new group of ppl came and sat across from us and after waiting for about 20 min. of no service, we also watched as they decided to go up to the bar and place a drink order for themselves. The service here is not bad, they would first have to provide service in order for it to be bad ... its non existent.

    Happy hour drinks at Bevy

Bar Bevy (along with the companion restaurant Swan) is the quintessential place to see and be seen. It's the kind of place where you could spot a celebrity at any time, and beautiful and well-heeled people at all times. It's also a well-decorated and opulent setting, with an Arabian theme that extends all the way to having a desert pavilion setup. Somehow, it felt to me like it ends up less than the sum of its parts. There are a lot of bars with a lot of heart and soul in Miami (Lagniappe, Ball & Chain, Gramp's, J Wakefield, etc.). I'm not sure Bevy is up at that level, although it is new and may yet develop a vibe that's more memorable than its current impress-the-jet-set aura. Happy hour lasts until 8 and, somewhat unusually for Miami, applies on Saturday as well. That's probably the best time to check it out and see if you enjoy the atmosphere.

Very good place for happy hour! We came to visit on a Thursday and the environment was laid back and chill. The bar is upstairs in a cozy, dim lit room. Very comfortable vibe, if you get there early enough you can snag a place to sit. We came as a group of 6 and were able to find plenty of seating. Definitely recommend if you're in the area for a drink or two. They even have some themed beverages in cool cups. Try the strawberry moon, it's super cute.

Nice ambiance with great cocktails! Bartenders know their craft and it shows on the drinks. All very well balanced. Lots of place for sitting down. Great for cocktails after work or with a date!

When I came last weekend the vibes were great, it was just extremely packed to the point that everyone was grinding up against each other. Which in that moment I didn't care because I figured it's at capacity and that's normal. Although, I realized when I was leaving the bar that someone had opened my purse and taken my entire wallet. I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails. They are all delicious and unique! The music is great, the dj really keeps the crowd moving. For parking, there is a lot in the back of the establishment or street parking as well.

Loved the comfortable lounge like seating and scannable menus. The Sylvester has a great happy hour. Great cocktails, wine and beer choices. Looking at the menu, they have interesting cocktails. Seems like they put a spin on the traditional mixtures. Two that stood out to me were the whiskey sour and French martini. Delicious mixtures by bartender Robby. He was attentive and able to answer questions about their cocktail twist. Especially loved that he mentioned their 18% gratuity was already added to the check. We added a little something extra just for honesty :-D Overall loved The Sylvester. Great service, delicious drinks and in my opinion, perfect ambiance.

The burger is honestly incredible -- one of the best I've had. I usually order it without the bun, and it's still amazing. The fries are excellent, and the patty has such a rich, delicious beef flavor. The medium cook was absolutely perfect. The olives are also delicious -- a small detail, but it shows the attention to quality. They also have happy hours 4-7pm and live jazz music on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, which makes the evening even better. Great crowd, great atmosphere, and a place where you genuinely want to come back. Ironically, we happened to pass by on our way to dinner, and when I asked the bouncer, he told us kids were allowed--so in we went. While you can definitely hear the music, it's not overly loud and you can still have a comfortable conversation. The drinks were incredible, exactly what you'd expect from a Top 50 bar in the world. Watching the bartenders in action was a performance in itself, and my kids were completely amazed. We only stopped in for drinks, and since we were with kids, we were seated at the tables rather than the bar, which was totally fine. In the back, there's a speakeasy-style area that was dimly lit and lined with books, creating a really cool, intimate atmosphere. Overall, we loved the experience and will definitely be back.

I won't name names but one establishment was well spoken of through Yelp and such but the overall vibe there was colder than a freezer. I randomly found Presidente while looking on Apple Maps and it was featured in one of the 'best of' articles. Wynwood district isn't new to us and we enjoyed the area the last time we were there. From the moment we got dropped off, something was giving off amazing vibes. Not to wave anyone off but our server Juan (?) C (Carlos?) was incredibly awesome and attentive. We also had such a pleasure to Christian who I believe is the bar director of the bespoke program they uphold there. I can't (nor my wife) recall what she ordered but I kicked things off with the Mexpresso Martini and then took Christian's rec of the Un Ultimo Beso. Recall what I mentioned at the beginning? We arrived on time for our reservation made for "INSIDE SEATING" (note you will have to pay to make a reservation.) The unfriendly hostess walked us to an outdoor table - that despite the multitude of fans - was humid and uncomfortable. When I told her we didn't want a table outside it seemed to bother her and her response: we are really full I won't promise you anything (eye roll) and she proceeds to walk back through the aisle of empty tables to the front desk. Behind us was a couple who arrived AFTER we did. And can you believe they were escorted without an issue to the upstairs INSIDE SEATING dining area - to the very tables they apparently did not have for us!!! I have to wonder if this was profiling or she just didn't like our face? Guess not all guest are created equal here. Forced to seat us inside after my husband showed her the reservation for INSIDE seating she "accommodates" us downstairs next to the bathrooms in a tight miniature table on uncomfortable plastic wicker chairs between two large groups where we couldn't get out of our seat and had the view of a water damaged ceiling over our heads. After what seemed like quite a while the waiter (poor guy) came to greet us. Now this was the only highlight of this erroneous Michelin Star establishment. He seemed overworked with all the tables in that area but was polite attentive and funny. So pleasant that I wonder why he's working in this place. I had to ask for the bread that never came on its own. The drinks were ok. The food: Lobster - the pastry was soggy on the bottom and tasted slightly burnt on the outer crispy corners. The lobster was well cooked and the sauce was good but nothing spectacular. Hanger steak - the steak was very good - cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). The sweet potato cakes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the mushroom were cooked to perfection. Wish there was more of it, you get 2 sweet potato cakes the size of a strip of gum and 3 mushrooms slices. The halibut - hands down the most delicious thing on the menu. The fish was fresh and the caviar sauce was really exceptional - wish I had a spoon. Chocolate caramel - The dessert was a mix of flavor the chocolate has a tangy taste, the ice cream on the bottom was a nice surprise, however it left much to be desired - we left half on the plate. All in all the front of the house sets the tone and the horrid attitude of the hostess and the way she refused to sit us upstairs in our reserved requested dining area, soured our experience from the start. My understanding is that a Michelin Star is a highly sought status that entails the full experience of a dining establishment and I'm sorry to say they should rethink giving Le Jardinier this award in the future. Don't come here.

When we arrived the hostess tried to sit us outside in the heat and when we said we'd like to have seating inside she presented as if this was a huge problem. Judging by the attitude she gave us, you'd think she was paying for our meal. Instead she sat the couple behind us in the preferred upstairs area and "accommodated" us in a cramped spot between several other tables. Management did nothing to correct her and the missteps with our anniversary reservations. The waiter was friendly and nice. The food was good. Unfortunately the mood had been set already. We ordered a couple of rounds of drinks and split three entrees and desert but nothing else as we really just wanted to get out of there. To be fair, our waiter was very nice and the exact opposite of the front of the house. If you want to eat well (but definitely not near the best in Miami), pay high prices and be treated like a second class citizen, this is the place for you.
