    Poached Egg

My family and I were vacationing in Florida after a very long period without any vacations. Noting that this restaurant served my favorite French cuisine and offered a Michelin-star dining experience, I was very excited to go there for dinner. Honestly, I don't understand how this establishment is rated as a Michelin-star experience, as the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the experience as a whole were not up to par in the slightest. Our experience started outside on the beautiful patio, which we chose ourselves. It was approximately 6:15 PM, and we assumed that, being a high caliber establishment, they regularly sprayed for mosquitoes, so we were not concerned about any issues. We were wrong, as I got bitten twice within the first five minutes. I brought this up to our waiter, who offered to move us inside. Inside, I got another two mosquito bites, as we were seated right next to the patio door. That was a minor inconvenience. I asked if they had any repellent, and they brought it out after my second reminder. For my appetizer, I ordered the Shrimp "Chaud-Froid." The presentation was underwhelming, but the taste was completely unimpressive. I would never order that again. For my mid-course, I ordered the Poached Egg. It had a nice flavor, but it was far too creamy and heavy, as if I were eating heavy whipping cream. For my entrée, I ordered the Roasted Free-Range Chicken, which was completely tasteless. The presentation was nice, but the taste was awful, and I ended up leaving most of it on the plate. My nephew ordered the Pork Tenderloin, and we noticed that it seemed to be severely undercooked, so we brought it to our waiter's attention. He proceeded to take it to the chef for a second opinion. He came back and mentioned that the chef agreed it was somewhat undercooked and offered to remake it, to which we agreed. After that, the service changed completely. Nobody would approach us, our water glasses were not being refilled, and what was supposed to be a quick fix lasted over an hour. I eventually got the attention of the manager and asked if we could cancel the entrée, to which he responded that the chef was already working on it and that there was no way to cancel it. I then asked if he could pack it to go, along with the dessert, as we needed to leave. He said yes and walked away. It had gotten late, and we still had an hour-long drive ahead of us back to our hotel, so we kept trying to get someone's attention in order to get our check and leave even without the entrée and dessert. Nobody would approach us, so my mother eventually had to get up and ask our server if he could bring us the check. About 5-10 minutes later, we finally received our check, along with the food packed to go. The manager brought the food out and mentioned that the pork had been remade the same way and that, if we wanted it more cooked, we could throw it on a skillet and cook it until it was well done. I looked at him and explained that we were staying at a hotel and had no way of cooking it ourselves, yet he did not offer to cook it further or do anything else to resolve the issue. What was the point of remaking it exactly the same way if it had already been deemed undercooked to begin with? Why did we have to wait over an hour for it if our concerns were going to remain unaddressed? He did mention that their pork was different and "safer" than other pork, but everybody knows that, unlike beef, pork is supposed to be fully cooked, as it can contain harmful bacteria and parasites that need to be cooked out. You cannot safely serve pork medium rare. They deemed it unsafe for my nephew to eat from the beginning, only to bring us the same piece of meat after making us wait an hour for it. No apology was offered. I ended up paying $468 for a dining experience that was abysmal. Surely, there are far better establishments in Miami capable of providing quality food and service. This restaurant is not one of them. I genuinely do not understand how it earned a Michelin star, because it does not seem deserving of it.

This is my second time at Le jardinier and my first time was amazing. I came back for the spice this time for dinner. The food was very good and flavorful. I have a type of dairy allergy and they were giving me a bit of a hard time with not putting the dairy sauces on the plate. For a Michelin star restaurant this was a bit surprising and annoying as I wasn't asking to change the dish I was just asking to not have the sauce on top of the dish. They were out of a cocktail on the menu and replaced it with a cosmo that had blue curaçao in it that was served not in a martini glass. Serving a cocktail with blue curaçao at a Michelin star restaurant is diabolical.

First time visiting and we loved our experience so much! Demetrius was our server and he was professional as well as friendly. Each plate came out with a beautiful presentation and all dishes were delicious. We were seated in the corner which was perfect for us to chat and enjoy our food. This place is clean and so cute!

I had an excellent experience at Le Jardinier during their Sunday Soirée! I needed to fuel up for shopping in the design district, and am so glad I came in. I sat outside on the patio and they had some fans going but it wasn't too hot so it was comfortable to enjoy my meal. They offer a $75.00, 3 course tasting menu with a complimentary cocktail and bread. You have your choice of 3 starters, entrees and 2 desserts. I ordered the chestnut soup, jumbo lump crab cakes, and lemon tart. Everything was excellent, well prepared, and beautiful. The service was great, attentive but not too much. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious. I would definitely go back to Le Jardinier the next time I am in Miami!

I visited Le Jardinier for a Miami Spice lunch, $35. Service was attentive and impeccable. I enjoyed the warm bread that was served before our appetizer. For my appetizer, I selected the Burrata, which was smooth and creamy. Both my guest and I selected the pork tenderloin with bacon and caramelized apple for our entrée. The pork was moist and flavorful. We tried the tropical tart with passionfruit and mango as well as the coconut lime basil meringue for dessert. My favorite was the tropical tart. Le Jardinier has earned a star from Michelin. The atmosphere is upscale, bright and comfortable. Their sister restaurant upstairs, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon is the only restaurant in Miami with 2 Michelin stars. The Miami Spice is a great value and I recommend a visit when in the Miami Design District.

Magnifique! Sometimes restaurants can be intimidating if they're too stuffy or have Michelin stars. Luckily, Le Jardinier, which is starred, is elegant and refined without being stuffy or snobby. It's just great service, beautiful dishes, and chic interior. I loved the bluefin, the poached halibut, and apple tart. On Wednesdays there is even live music.

We had a really fabulous experience at this restaurant. We went for Miami spice for lunch, which was only $35 per person for an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. We really loved the Barata appetizer, the mushroom Ragu pasta was absolutely delicious and the desserts seriously blew us away. They were extremely flavorful, intricate, and we loved the balance of different flavors and textures. Everything was so thoughtfully done. The service was fantastic and everyone was so friendly. I truly loved my experience, especially as a vegetarian to be able to find good fine dining, it was a nice treat. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Only two Michelin spots open at noon, Cote and this place. Plenty of seating, and the $44 weekday three-course lunch is a solid deal. It's right below Robuchon, and parking in the Design District is $4 for the first four hours Asparagus Soup creamy and smooth Burrata Salad pretty bland Scallop fresh and sweet Butterfly looks stunning, with yuzu mousse and raspberry compote Beet Salad good Bavette ordered medium, wouldn't recommend. Mushrooms were alright Mille Feuille pear, wine pastry, and goat cheese, really good Passionfruit Tart mango sorbet with passionfruit tart

Julia Child remarked, "I don't trust anyone who doesn't like to eat." If Julia Child were still with us, she'd probably be sitting at a corner table at Le Jardinier, giving an approving nod while whispering, "More butter." This sleek, garden-inspired temple of fine dining in Miami takes vegetables as seriously as a French chef takes wine pairings--except here, the produce gets to be the star of the show rather than just a decorative garnish. We opted for the Sunday prix-fixe supper, which offered three choices per course, so naturally, we ordered everything. Because, as Julia wisely said, eating is a trust exercise, and we were ready to put our faith in Le Jardinier's kitchen. The Meal: Appetizers: If a salad could flex, it would look like Le Jardinier's. Delicate herbs, precisely sliced vegetables, and sauces drizzled like the modern art that is making Miami famous. Mains: The fish came with crispy skin so perfect it should have its own Instagram account. The chicken was tender, and the beef dish was a rich in umami. Desserts: The final act was pure spectacle. A whimsical butterfly perched on a pistachio mousse, a soufflé so light we feared it might float away, and a citrus dessert that looked like a sunflower straight out of a Monet painting. The Verdict: Le Jardinier proves that vegetables are not just for side dishes or moral obligations. This is fine dining that celebrates the garden--but don't worry, it also knows how to treat fish and meat with the respect they deserve. Would Julia approve? Without a doubt. But she'd probably still ask for extra butter.

Not sure about the Michelin star. Service was ok, not comparable to some other star restaurants. Food was done perfectly well but nothing extraordinary Scallops were cooked perfectly but nothing exceptional. Menu range and items and ingredients were all very expected of a gourmet restaurant but nothing special. No live presentation of food. Brief and unenthusiastic explanation of dishes and ingredients. Disappointed only because of the star. For any other restaurant it would be judged from a different pov.

So the food here was amazing and unique for sure. What ruined the experience was the insanely slow service. We were probably there 2.5 hours just waiting between courses and then for our check at the end. We were seated outside so I don't necessarily blame them for this but my entire party was bit up by mosquitoes. It was quite disturbing because at one point I went to swat my leg and then there were 2 dead mosquitoes on me. I think if maybe there were floor fans, it would've help prevent mosquitoes from being able to land on us.

    Burrata (miami spice)
    Annika D.

Lovely spot to try a $35 miami spice at a Michelin star! Ambiance is modern and kind of has a nordic feeling. We had a later lunch booking so several drinks and desserts had run out by the time we got there. However, service very attentive. I got the burrata, mushroom ragú, and coconut lime merengue/olive oil cake. I enjoyed the flavors- burrata was very satisfying and had a citrus kick with the star fruit, and the ragú was buttery and rich. I felt full by the end. My friend got the risotto which was far too salty. I think this is a spice menu that's worth it!

I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails. They are all delicious and unique! The music is great, the dj really keeps the crowd moving. For parking, there is a lot in the back of the establishment or street parking as well.
