Swanson Painting prepped and painted the exterior of our home and we couldn't be happier! This included the main house, patio, separate side shed, detached garage and carport, plus two metal gates. Additionally, the job included painting the inside of 5 doors. There was a lot of work with plenty of details, but everything turned out beautifully. I'm not even sure where to begin to describe what a dream it is to work with Vic Swanson and his crew. I recently purchased a new house, and I loathed the custom interior dated faux-finish paint that covered every inch of the walls. I found Swanson Painting here on Yelp and called based on the glowing reviews of his past clients. It turned out to be a smart decision. Contractors can always be hit or miss, but Vic is the ideal person you want to manage your painting project. Vic is polite, friendly, tidy, smart, punctual and a true man of his word. He offered his professional advice on colors and finishes but never forced his opinion on us. The job at my house turned out to take one more day than he'd originally bid, but he didn't increase the final price due to that. Also, halfway through the job my partner casually mentioned that he wished we'd added another item to the original bid. Vic just completed the request, matched the unknown paint perfectly without even being asked and it looks amazing. My job was fairly complicated because there were so many items on the walls to remove and/or protect, but Vic and his guys did it. We did a walk-thru and he didn't leave until all my punchlist items were completed. He took care of my house, and left it much cleaner than when we started. I chose Swanson to paint the exterior of my home because the owner, Vic Swanson, promised to be on site much of the time, which I thought was important. He was also willing to work with me on the price. A four-man crew worked on my house for five days. When Vic wasn't present, his foreman, Alfredo, led the crew very well. They did a good job prepping, which included repairing and patching stucco; scraping, sanding and repairing fascia, shutters, doors, windows; fixing the putty around many small French window panes and replacing a rotted two by four in a long patio bench. They also did an excellent job removing old ivy remnants from the North side of the house. Vic sprayed the house himself on day four. The fifth day was for finishing trim and clean-up. There are nearly 200 small French window panes in my house. To paint these by hand would have required more days and cost more money. Vic had, what to me, was a novel solution. He covered each large multipaned window with paper sprayed with a lightly adhesive sealant, cut out the parts to be painted, spray painted the whole window, then, when dry, removed the paper. The result was a very smooth uniform look in a fraction of the time hand painting would have taken. If you opt for this technique note that someone will need to clean the windows afterwards. When the job was completed, we noticed a few details that were missed. Vic quickly sent Alfredo over to take care of them. I am pleased with the paint job, the reasonable price and the professionalism and ease of working with Vic and his crew. Let me start by saying I have never had a tradesman I have hired ever care for my house as much as I do. From start to finish Vic and his guys were beyond professional and truly cared about my family and my homes well being. During the process a light was broke on my outside fan and in within 24 hrs they didn't just replace the light on the fan they bought me a whole brand new one. After a couple months after painting my patio had a leak( un related to anything they did) and Vic personally came to my house and caulked my entire patio without hesitation.
