Joel is an excellent tradesman. Last month he completed several large projects for our house, starting with the job he did for our front door. Our wooden door had cracked from sun damage, and Joel removed the door, filled the cracks, sanded, and sealed it, saving and preserving the door for years to come. He then helped us with major stucco repairs with excellent attention to detail, and well as helped us fix an iron gate that had stopped working and was causing some structural to an outdoor wall, which he also repaired. We had an area in our garage where a plumbing leak damaged the drywall. After the damaged area had been removed and dried, we began to get quotes for repairing the area. Joel came out and looked at the area and gave us such a competitive quote that we had him fix several other areas in the garage that needed repair. While being stuck in the house during COVID. It was time to address the few rooms in my house with a little tender loving care that was years over due, so I called Joel Mendoza to the rescue. For starters he pulled up the old stained rug and refinished beautifully the wood floor that was underneath. He made a very brilliant suggestion to me to add a fresh coat of paint on the walls. I'm glad I did because the room turned out, Amazing! In the bathroom we replaced the lighting, painted, took away the medicine cabinets and replaced it with a wall cabinet above the toilet. Joel replaced the vanity top with a white pre-fab marble but kept the maple wood vanity and stained it weather gray. I changed the hardware as well to give it a new look. Instead of buying a brand new mirror, Joel got creative and made a wood frame to go around the mirror and stained that to match the vanity. I love it and better yet I didn't have to buy something that I already had. In the office ( it used to be a bedroom) I have a wall to wall built in dresser. Joel again stripped it down and painted it teal and added new hardware to give it a more modern feel. He replaced the flooring to a distressed laminate and replaced the lighting by adding a ceiling fan. I can't say this enough in my reviews about Joel and his crew. They show up when they say they are going to. They clean up at the end of everyday, and for me, it's important to be in communication about the jobs progress. My windows do not catch or stick, my front door which was weathered and water-stained looks brand new and the colors exactly what I chose after a dozen samples.
