I noticed not that many times to choose from going to Davis from Sacramento. We missed the 2 pm. We had to wait almost an hour and half until the next one. We bought our tickets then realized no one told us where we actually get onto the train. Our friend went back in..at the ticket booth the man that helped us was very nice and very helpful. He gave the kids coloring books and pins. Finally on the train it was bumper then I remembered, moved around a lot reminded me being on boat. Can not have bags or luggage out on tables or seats. I think we got called out, but we weren't sure since it was over the load speaker. We had a small bag it had food and snacks in it. We put into the over head. We went to check out the food car. So the kids could feel what it was like to walk from car to car..the food car was mostly over priced snacks. Canned, bottled drinks and packs of chips or nuts. When we arrived in Davis. They said over the loud speaker they do not stop for to long you need to get off so get ready. We couldn't open the over head to get our bag back out. It was stuck. Other passengers helped us open it, they said you really need to pull it hard. Once off the train the Davis train station and building looked so old and run down..so sad looking compared to Sacramento station. We didn't know no one would be there to buy return tickets. But they do offer more times leaving back to Sacramento. We purchased online. We had many people asking if they were in the right place while we were waiting. Davis such a cute town seems like they would clean up the station areas.

I purchase my ticket online and it was fairly easy. The customer service was good. There was a rep in the lobby that clarified my pickup destination and offered a golf cart ride if needed. The train was full but not crowded. I was able to find a seat fairly easily. The ride was comfortable, I was able to read my book and relax. The downside was that I would've liked to wipe down my chair and table. Yes it's public transportation but it would be nice if they had Clorox wipes and sanitary stations available for passengers to wipe down their area.

This stop requires that you stand on a center divide strip in the middle of speeding traffic as you wait for the light rail. There is free parking at this light rail station either on the street or in a RT parking lot about a block away. Although the neighborhood is going through a community improvement transformation you'll still encounter some things/people that may feel a bit unsettling. Just be aware of yourself and surroundings. The only thing that can cause delay getting to this station is the signal light at Arden/Del Paso, and if you don't time it right, you can end up missing the train. This is my preferred light rail station when I want to minimize the amount of time on the train because I'm either tired of the filth on the train, constant cloud of weed, or unsavory ticketless humans as I make my way to/from work.

I do approve of their schedule on Saturdays where the light rail is every 15 minutes so it was helpful to keep to my schedule as light rail previously was every 20 / 30 minutes. The new bus schedule is whacked out. Bus 93 no longer goes its normal route, instead it goes on Andrea Blvd, and then on Roseville Road / Antelope Road, and finally left on Auburn to Louis and Orlando. Another bus serves Auburn Blvd. It's really crazy. The Connect Card is really handy however, as its just like the Clipper Card we have in the Bay Area. I can load transit fare from home and when I come down to visit my family, I don't need to put cash in a farebox , easily scanable if requested by fare inspectors. Also, transfers are free when you board RT using the connect card and get on light rail from a bus, or bus from a light rail and so forth so thats neat they brought it back. Hint - you tap on the bus X amount of times on the bus. If your tap on's for the day exceed $7 you automatically get upgraded to a daily pass for the rest of the day. But most people may get their stuff done in one day. It's there for you power commuters and transit riders if you need it.

My daughter was considering taking the light rail to go somewhere in downtown Sac, so we drove to the station at Marconi Arcade, which is the station she would be leaving from. The area immediately surrounding the station is beyond depressed. There were even boarded up abandoned properties nearby, and the station was isolated and scary looking, with strange people hanging around. No, I don't think so. I think everyone that works for Sac Transit should be forced to ride/use public transit (buses AND especially the light rail) to and from work EVERY DAY, for at least a year. Then, maybe, they would have safer/better public transportation systems that their residents would want to ride/use, instead of what they have? I know a lot of people who drive to and from work because they feel unsafe using the light rail, especially. Some people even feel the buses are not safe to ride, but the light rail consistently has very low to non existent marks for lots of people. I'm sure there are other light rail stations that are ok and are reasonably safe, but some should be torn down and rebuilt elsewhere. Bottom Line: The whole system needs to be more efficient, safer, and cleaner, modernized, and needs to go more places than it currently does, if the City/County wants to encourage and improve ridership, most especially the Light Rail but the bus system as well.

Takeaways - Light Rails are every 15 minutes except on the weekend where it's a more complicated schedule- Bus Routes have clear and easy to read signs. Clean station appearance as said above. Route 25 for a direct connection to Citrus Heights , Fair Oaks and areas of Sacramento, Carmichael, seems this bus has too many stops just to get to where you need to go.

This is my go to tram station when I am riding the SACRT tram…read more Back in 2016 I was a frequent visitor to Sacramento and this station is my point of connection to the Howe and Arden area. I first came here in 2006 when I wanted to check out the 916 because I never got the chance in the fourth grade. My mum at the time was a broke college student. I am glad to have come here a few times because this tram station is pretty much safe. If you look around, its just a quiet neighborhood that has very little foot traffic and full of homes. Please remember if you are not continuing to the Northern Highlands please get off here or at Royal Oak so you can go to the shopping area down the street. This is a good place to catch the 23 bus which drives directly to Arden Fair and the surrounding shopping centers.
