Last Saturday, July 7th, I celebrated my birthday by getting a group of friends together to do the Sactown Social Bikes. We all LOVED it! Everyone had such a great time! Our driver, Noe, was amazing and super nice and so was our hostess, Brandy, she made sure everyone always had a drink and was having a good time with all of us! The bike was the most fun part of the day, even more so than the breweries, at one point we got to our second stop and asked to actually take the bike around on a loop again and Noe gladly obliged! They have a Bluetooth speaker you can sync your phone with to blast music which was fun. We were also able to bring on our own beer and wine for no extra cost. They were the most affordable brew bike in Sacramento and I also loved that their bike had a motor! Made a HUGE difference in the experience! Wow, this company is awesome! I used Sac Brew bike (the other company that does party bike tours), a few weeks ago and had a good time. However, I used SacTown Social bikes this past Saturday to celebrate my birthday, and here is how SacTown Social bikes killed their competition. - SacTown Social is SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper. Their base price for a 3 hour tour is $350, whereas Sac Brew bike was $450 (both offer 15 person bike). Plus, SacTown post monthly discounts, on top of their super low prices (and got to bring byob for free)! -As long as everyone on your tour is over 21, you can bring beer & wine onboard. SacTown does not charge extra for this! (Sac Brew bike charged us an extra $60!). - SacTown's bike was dope! Their sound system was awesome. You Bluetooth into it. The lights were cool. Their seats were SUPER comfy. The layout was fabulous. They even provided cooler for your drinks, and provided waters. - Last reason they killed it, SacTown really brought the party. They decked the bike out with a banner, and birthday balloons. They even gave me a bike bottle opener as a birthday gift. If all of that was not enough, Ruben was AWESOME! He was not just our tour guide, he was our party host. He was super relaxed, flexible, and seriously fun! He did a great job amping up the party. Visited Sacramento for a work convention last week. I have seen these "tavern bikes" in other towns and wondered what all the buzz was all about. I reached out to all of the companies in Sacramento that I could find, I decided on Sactown Social. I spoke to Ruben a couple of times before we got to the area and he had everything ready for us. We rented out 2 bikes (30 people) and headed out for an evening of fun. I won't post any pics because I don't want my boss seeing that I had too good of a time...... The staff on the bikes were great and they were there on time as promised. Prices were also a lot lower than the other companies. Give them a call, I'm positive you will be happy. read more

Kim and brandy have to be the best people for this job, especially if you have to deal with drunk people. Went in these bikes for my best friends birthday, there were about 15 of us. It was a lot of fun, even though the second place was not the nicest for a big crowd. The only thing I was not a fan of was the fact that they leave the last place to go back to the beginning where are car was parked, so we could not enjoy the last place with my best friend. I understand that they don't want people drinking and driving so most people probably Uber or Lyft, but some people had dd's. Still a great night. We booked a Sactown Social Bike to celebrate my birthday. We met them at Vallejo's , signed our waivers, and were pleasantly surprised to hear that they had made reservations for us at our first stop (Cantina Alley). Laney and Wendy are awesome hosts. The bike was decorated with a Happy Birthday Banner & they had an ice chest full of ice and ready for us to put our beer in. The bike comes equipped with a blue tooth speaker system & they even had a charger which helped save my battery. The people who run this business are awesome, friendly, and it's obvious customer service is top priority. I left my ID at the first stop and the ladies were nice enough to talk to the second bar and ask them to let me in while they went back to the first and retrieved it for me. They have the best deal on the bike rental, they don't charge extra for bringing your own beer, and their hosts are super fun. Also, we thought we would have to pedal back to Vallejo's at the end of the night as other companies require this or else they charge you a fee. Thankfully this bike has a motor which they reserve for this (as well as for going back to pick up lost/forgotten property) so we were able to stay and enjoy our time at the last bar without feeling rushed or incurring extra expenses. We crossed paths with one other company's bike, their riders didn't look to be having nearly as much fun as we were. This was honestly the best birthday I've had in a long time. We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday with Sactown Social Bike's. We had a group of 7 and none of us had ever done the brew bike tours in Sacramento. We had Tristan and Brandy as our tour guides/driver and they were exceptional! They made the entire evening a fun and memorable one. I chose Sactown over its competitors because for the value, it can not be beat. We chose three stops(Dive Bar, De Vier's Irish Pub and Tank House). Throughout the entire ride, Brandy even pedaled with us. The staff are very interactive and made it a fun filled night. The bike does have a motor so if you get winded, they can assist getting you to your next destination. The bike does have a Bluetooth speaker that I was able to connect to. The whole midtown Sacramento atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, good music and family made for a memorable night. "Hi, it's Reuben. Are you here yet?" I don't know a Reuben and have no idea where "here" is, but I could take a guess. It's 6:45 and we've just called a Lyft to get to the Sactown Social Bikes meeting location by 7:00 pm, our meeting time. I figured it was either Lyft or Sactown Social Bikes and said we were on our way. This pretty much summed up our experience with Sactown Social Bikes: great experience, terrible communication. It was my 30th birthday party, and I was so excited to be the obnoxious, drunk, and loud group that I see pass our Midtown house every day (side note: my children love watching the drunken lovelies go by every day and I would like to meet the people who order a beer bike Wednesday afternoon because they seem like they know how to have a good time). We booked the bike months in advance because Sactown Social Bikes allows beer on the bike, there's a motor on the bike so my drunk ass could pedal less, and it has a sober party director who will make sure we have a great time. We called them up a week before our date so we could confirm where we wanted to go (Federalist/Depot/Benny's) and they seemed legitimately confused by the call, despite the form saying to do exactly that. Generally it seems that they have absolutely no idea what is being communicated to us. The email they sent a few days before included a link to waiver that didn't work (they do waivers in-person) and a meeting location that was wrong (they sent a text a few days after the email giving us a different location, not realizing they were changing the place). But after we were there, it was fantastic. Make sure to bring canned beer, not bottled beer (but don't worry - they'll put it in a thermos if you forget) and be ready to get drunk AF. It goes by quickly with three stops, and I was glad that we ended at the bar two blocks from my house so we could spend a little longer at place 1 and 2 and be delivered to place 3 just as our time was ending. If you go to dinner beforehand, Vallejo's (our meeting place) was super sweet. They said they would love to book us a table to eat at beforehand and were great at giving out drinks as we signed everyone in. Laney, our cruise director, encouraged fun all the way around, and Reuben, our driver, was sweet and considerate. The sound system was awesome, drinks perfectly poured, and a good time was had by all. I highly recommend the experience - just expect some confusion over paperwork and booking. read more

Sactown Social has a swanky 15 person bike, with nice seats, set belts that retract (fancy!), party lights, helmets at the ready if you so desire them, a great sound system, and a cooler full of water for riders with plenty of space for beer.
