They were sent out from American home, shield to replace my water heater. Home Depot and other plumbing companies were charging between $500-$750 in labor. Total cost of $1500. SWAT plumbing was supposed to replace the water heater and install it for free not including the $250 extra allowance I got for any special modifications. They somehow came up with over $2000 in modifications alone. They wouldn't even give a breakdown of how they managed to make that up. you heard that right. They are thieves. Stay away. read more

If 0 stars were an option, that would be my selection. Just like every other bad review for this place, mine began with my home warranty company. (Full story in screenshots - it was too long. They uploaded out of order, but are numbered 1-8 in order) All this to say, their communication is terrible. Much like the other warranty company reviews charging entirely too much for what was done. Every woman that I spoke to was very nice, didn't give correct info but nice. The man I spoke to twice today was demeaning, tried to belittle me, interrupted, and tried to speak over me. The receipt also says they returned our hot water heater to the company they were supposed to. So either 1. They did not do that and said they did or 2. They used our warranty to get a free hot water heater to profit 100% off of. Completely unethical. Also, I have filed a complaint with AHS and was told they added Swat Plumbing to their "Do Not Use Vendor List". I mentioned that every negative review I read had to do with a home warranty company set up and I do not wish this type of service, inflation, or poor communication on anyone. read more

I was put in contact with SWAT plumbing by my home warranty company when I needed a gas leak repaired. Sad to say, my experience with SWAT has been uniformly terrible. Here are the grisly details: I talked to SWAT on Tuesday morning. They told me that they could come help restore heat, hot water, and stove service to my home sometime on Wednesday--but they couldn't tell me when! Apparently they are unable to schedule the next day's work orders until that day's have ended(?). That evening I learned via a text that I would have a technician out the next day between 8 and 12. Sounds pretty good, right? Well, their text message alerts are, apparently, a lie. When I called with a half hour left in my appointment window, I was told that I had ACTUALLY been scheduled sometime in the afternoon. In fact, I was the third person to call that morning who had been given a false appointment window! A great system. When my technician deigned to show up 5 1/2 hours after I'd been told was the LATEST to expect him, he looked at the gas meter and said he couldn't do anything until SWAT spoke to the gas company, because the gas company had turned off the gas. I had told SWAT multiple times on the phone that this was the case! So the tech turned around and went home, having done no work, and charged me $75 for the privilege of "discovering" a fact that SWAT had learned when I first spoke to them on the phone two days prior. As of now, I'm waiting to find out when, if ever, this godawful company can come to my house to restore heat and water, because AGAIN they are incapable of scheduling a day in advance! The initial visit took 3 weeks because their despatch is the plumber will come from 7 am to 7 pm. So I wasted 3-4 days because of cancellations from Swatt However finally the plumber Attila came. He was very profesdional knew his job to fix my kitchen faucet that needed a part. The toilet tank issues were fixed/ replaced well. I would certainly recommend this plumber to do my service again except from Swatt because of their horrible dispatch system. That toilet has been sitting there for 30 years, it's an $18 part that would take 15 minutes to replace and reseat the toilet. "BUT". They sent an inexperienced young kid out to my house. I doubt he even had a plumbing license ( he is probably working under someone else's license which is legal in the state of TX) He had no idea what he was doing, looked around, then sat in his van for a while before coming back and giving me an estimate of $1800 not to FIX the problem but to maybe find out what is going on. I have no confidence in this company. I had to hire a licensed and professional plumber who told me it was best to fix the main water line. If i could give zero stars I would! Water damage from an upstairs bathroom overflow resulted in needing to gut and restore our bathroom. Swat not only had appallingly poor workmanship that needed further fixing but took the money and never finished the job. They breached their own contract by taking full payment before the job was completed. Swat will not return any form of communication with us, even when we asked to speak with the owner of the company who promised to "make it right". As promised, I am updating my review. I'm changing from a 2-star to a 3-star based on the great work Clayton does. It's so disappointing that scheduling and customer service is lacking. Phase 3 is finally finished after the reschedule. Appointment was between 8:00-12:00. No phone call or email to notify me that nobody would arrive. I called them. They said it'd be "sometime" that day. I received a text and email at 3:21PM that the tech was on his way. When he arrived at 5:30PM, he didn't understand why I would've been notified because he wasn't finished with the job. I'll be calling their Operations Manager this week to let him know my distrust and disappointment. ------------ I do not have an actual rating on this company yet, but I will tell you what I've been through so far. This job was supposed to be in 4 phases. Initial communication was fantastic. Day 1 and day 2 had the first phase finished, and the city inspector came in and finished phase 2. The work performed by the tech was excellent. I am still waiting on phase 3, which is to pour concrete and secure the hole and foundation. Two (2) appointments have been MISSED. This is also the 2nd time I had to call to check on arrival status. So in a four (4) hour window and also a six (6) hour window I was not contacted to inform me the tech would NOT be arriving as scheduled. I have already paid in full. I received one thoughtless apology for not contacting me. I will update my review as things progress, but as of now (especially for missing two full days of work) I am nowhere near being happy with this company. read more

This is an update to my 12/5/23 review: Mathew came to my home on Monday, 12/4/23, to replace a shut off valve and pressure regulator valve. He asked me when I wanted the city of Fort Worth inspector to come out to inspect his work. I told him that I didn't care, and he scheduled an appointment, or so I thought. Today is 12/6, I called the City of Fort Worth to see when an inspector was scheduled by Swat so that the hole on my property could be backfilled. To my surprise I was told that no inspection was scheduled. Also, I was told that the permit that SWAT pulled and charged me $180.00 for costed SWAT $52.00. What horrible service and what a rip off. If you want to wait forever while you have a leak and no hot water sure call them. We told them we want the work done they have us the run around for weeks. They kept saying to my husband 'you said you don't want the work done ' this wasn't the case as I was there for these calls we kept trying to schedule . The employees who come to your home are amazing but the customer service and whatever is done behind the scenes is total BS and I'd find someone else first if I were you. It's been weeks and we have a leak they were supposed to fix but instead keep giving us the run around it's a pretty sad way to do business. read more

I had an appointment scheduled a week in advanced. They rescheduled the day of for the following day then showed up without the appropriate equipment to replace a standard garbage disposal. And did not follow up with next appointment. I left a message then they follow up with a text that they are on their way the next day which is difficult when you are scheduled for a rental property and need to check availability with tenants read more

Minor issue with toilet. It wasn't filling. I was having to use a bucket after every flush. The only gripe I have is I called on Wednesday and had to wait until Monday. AHS chose them. They did show up at a reasonable hour and did the job quickly and to my satisfaction so all good in the end. read more
