After a helpful, easy, and fun intro lesson with him, it was clear he was the coach for us. Each dance lesson, Tamas helped us build upon our dancing skills, giving helpful instruction but always in a friendly manner. Our final dance was a beautiful number specially choreographed to a song of our choosing (Everlasting Love by Carl Carlton), and loved the personal attention he brought in making it come to life. Again, we were total dance beginners at the start, but felt like complete pros at the end. And all of our guests were dazzled by our moves at our wedding day. Me and my husband decided we wanted a choreographed dance for our wedding, so as gays do we started taking dance lessons a year in advance. We met with our fabulous instructor Tamas several times in 2021, and then decided to take about 8 more classes the months leading up to our wedding in 2022. We mashed together two songs with a classic ballroom waltz which transitioned into salsa. We provided Tamas the mixed tracks and he was able to create a choreo for us that captured the emotions of both songs. Tamas is amazing! We wanted to do something special for our first dance at our wedding, but both me and my now wife are not dancers in the least and have never taken lessons before. We found Sway With Me through a Groupon for introductory lessons and decided it would be worth giving it a shot, especially since it was conveniently located right across the street from us. I was a bit nervous because I have never danced before and am in my own opinion quite stiff. During our first lesson Tamas was super friendly, encouraging, patient, and detailed in his instruction. This made me feel much more relaxed and confident that this was something I could do. After the initial lesson, Tamas asked if we were interested in taking additional lessons in which he would teach us more steps as well as choreograph the entire dance from start to finish for us. We decided to do the 4-class package, which was very reasonably priced when compared to other dance studios in the area. We are so glad we did those additional classes! The steps Tamas taught us in our first lesson were great and you could probably get away with just using that as your first dance if you are looking for something simple, but the dance Tamas choreographed and taught us was amazing! The lifts and dips were definitely crowd pleasers and we got a lot of compliments after our wedding on our first dance. I can't wait to see the photos our photographer captured! I'm so thankful to Tamas for his patient and thoughtful instruction and for contributing to our big day in such a special way.
