As a relative newcomer to Auckland I first heard that this bar does amazing hand cut fries. One day I went to try them out with a friend. They were as described and definitely a good option to share (else you're just eating a whole lot of potato to yourself) but they were pretty great as far as bar snacks go. I have also been to Sale St Cider Co-op session on a Sunday afternoon, which was a great set up. Sitting outside in the sun, with fine tunes being played drinking delicious cider is tough to beat. Cider available included Monteith's, Old Mout, Rekorderlig and Johnny Arrow. I think Sale Street bar has been well designed; it's stylish, fun and its decent size means there are lots of different seating areas. Both times I thought the staff were friendly and attentive. I'm definitely keen to visit again.

Sale St has always been a great place to sit and enjoy a chilled out beer, or a decent cocktail, and is always full on Friday nights of the after-office crew from the surrounding businesses. It used to be the 'It' place to go, but now it's more of an option for a cold brew on a Sunday afternoon on the awesome sun-drenched deck with some mates. Also a good thing to note is that even though the bar is open seven days a week, the bistro is only open Wed-Fri 11:30am-2:30pm and then 6pm-10pm. It's also open 6-10pm on Saturdays

I loved everything about this place- the atmosphere, the service, the food, the price- nothing was sub-par. Generous servings- especially the $15 burger and fries deal. The highlight of the dish, however was the s'more. Perfectly toasted marshmallow wedged between two perfect brownies and to top it off, a scoop of ice cream- delicious! 10/10 would return- and soon!

Where do I even start? The girls and I decided to visit this which was part of the Auckland Restaurant month - let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. For $40 you get an entree and a main, they also have their own craft beers on special. The meat was so tender that it fell off the bone and my pulled pork was one of the best I have ever had. The serving sizes are extremely generous - we were all super stuffed by the end of our meals (I had to get a doggy bag for my left overs). Will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu!

Fantastic happy hour for Bonvoy members (which is free to join). I was able to score $10 glass of…read morewine and $10 bar bites! We had the pork belly sliders and the chicken bites. Both were delicious and great for the price. After HH, I stayed for a Margherita pizza and more wine. The pizza was thin crust and tasted fresh. Only thing that was interesting to me was the inability to order the same HH wines after HH. The selection switches out. Service was really great and friendly. It started off rather quiet for HH but began to fill as time went on. Plenty of seating options and trendy decor.

VISIT: end of February 2020…read more This was a pleasant surprise as we ate here probably every day of the 3 that we were in town. I typically shy away from restaurants that are in the hotel because they tend to be pricey. We felt, for Americans, that this was decently priced and that each time we ate here, we got a different meal FOOD WE TRIED: - Chicken and vegetable dumplings - Prawn and chive Gyoza - Arancini - 55 day aged beef brisket sliders - Seafood Risotto - Spaghetti with mussels, snapper and prawns The sliders, gyoza and spaghetti with seafood was VERY good. I wouldn't order the dumplings again, but I always forget that chicken dumplings just aren't the same as pork and/or shrimp. The Arancini was a bit disappointing in flavor, maybe just a touch more salt would have been helpful and same thing with the flavor of the Risotto. The seafood was cooked perfectly, but the sauce on it just wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked, for a risotto. Service was always great with the staff always helpful with recommendations. We were very happy to have access to this restaurant during our stay the Four Points
