Absolutely horrific experience as a seller! I asked two weeks in advance for a closing that would be after 4pm conducive to my work schedule and they relayed we could plan for a split closing if need be. I didn't know the time of my closing until the DAY before which ended in a frantic scramble leave work early to sign my documents and then to clear out our remaining dump-run trips far earlier than we expected. Most importantly, I also said I am related to my agent and wanted my financials to remain private. I specifically asked the check to be placed in an envelope for my agent to deliver to me. If I could give 6 Stars, I would! On point, quick to respond and very professional. JL (Attorney) and Tom the (closing agent) have been a pleasure to work with through out my 14 year Career. I have used this team for all aspects of real estate legal needs, and cant recommend them enough. Sweeney Title has been able to accommodate closings in locations and times that were less than desirable, with out blinking an eye. It's important to have a good Title company on your side and the miracles I have seen this company accomplish where others were not able to, make them my go to Closing company. Closings are done quickly and with out stress. In the 100's of transactions I have seen, things can go wrong somewhere along the way, it's how those challenges are handled that sets this company at the top of my list. I recommend NOT using Sweeney and Sweeney. They are horrible with communication. Lawyer told us he could have everything settled by Christmas on Dec 5th, he gave us someone else's paperwork, my aunt had to send documents back to him 3 times due to spelling errors. We got final paperwork signed in April, he said he would email us confirmation, nothing. We spent a month trying to get a hold of him, nothing. We found out the house was actually in our names when we received the tax bill. read more

They did a poor job of communicating. I did not know the closing occurred until the next day when I called to find out when the closing would occur. The funds were sent in an overnight package the day after closing. The closing occurred on Thursday, but I didn't receive the check until the following Monday at 3pm. They wouldn't wire the funds and did not send a cashiers check. I had to send the check back and request a cashiers check, but since it was drawn on a local bank instead of national bank a hold was placed for 7 business days. The funds from the closing were not available to me until 14 days after the official closing. They need to reconsider their inability to wire funds like other title companies. I would not recommend using them. read more

I have used Sweeney for a few real estate transactions now, and have been very satisfied with their service. Mr. Sweeney always takes the time to answer my endless questions, but he leaves the ultimate decisions to me. Highly recommended. read more

Very sloppy. As the seller, 2 months after closing I received a water bill----i called, and it was still in my name, My agent and I checked on this numerous times, and were assured it was taken care of.... it was not. I do not recommend. read more

I called Attorney Sweeney regarding an encroachment issue with a neighbor who tried to take the land under what he believed was adverse possession. I obtained the land at town auction and am the rightful owner with the deed in hand . Attorney Sweeney addressed this issue quickly, and accurately and educated the neighbor of the laws.
