Day and Night cereal Bar, near Oak Square YMCA, is a hidden gem with irresistible menu options. I tried the Rooby Snacks, Buttercup, and Fresh Prince of Boston, each offering unique cereal and ice cream combos. The Rooby Snacks with Oreo ice cream was a standout for me. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and you even get a pint of milk (whole, almond, or oat). Don't miss it--this place is definitely worth the visit! There is only one window standing table to enjoy the ice cream, but it is quiet enough to be a cute little date. Service is great! He remembers his customers!

What a unique concept! Loved this cereal dessert bar. Tried the "Oddparents", which had fruit loops and captain crunch all berries cereal (yum) with vanilla ice cream drizzled with a strawberry syrup. I love that they offer non-dairy options for some of us lactose-intolerant folks. We tried the non-dairy vanilla ice cream with almond milk and it was TASTY. Looking forward to their reopening in 2025!!

This black-owned business is Boston's only cereal bar!! The interior is also soo cute and great for taking pictures. Service is also awesome and they're super open to helping you decide what you want. Their menu lets you choose a bowl or shake to create with your favorite cereals, toppings, and ice cream! If you don't know what you want, no worries because they have a few set menu items! We got 3 diff items: the beehive (honey nut cheerios, oats, granola, ice cream, honey), rooby snacks (cinnamon toast crunch, graham cracker, oreo, drizzle, ice cream), and a pumpkin spice shake!! The beehive was my favorite! It was not as sweet and I love honey and honey bunches of oats. Rooby was delish but a bit too sweet for me=, and the pumpkin shake was delish but I didn't love the texture of the cereal in it toward the end but if you drink shakes fast then it's no problem! This is the perfect spot for a late night dessert, especially for BC students because it's so close!! If you come with a BC ID, you get 10% off!!!!!!!!

A fun food concept for a night out in Brighton. Perfect for all ages to get a sweet treat to brighten up your day. I came with a friend on a weekday soon after they opened and decided to make my own bowl. They were out of a couple of popular cereals but recommended some alternatives. I got some of my favorite cereals from frosted flakes to fruit loops and an old nostalgic Oreo O's. I got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and an Oreo with whipped cream to top it all off. The service was quick and the workers were great. It definitely felt a bit of a sugar overload but in the best way possible. It wouldn't be my go to spot but I would recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Fresh cereal vibe with 2000s kid feel.

I finally walked in and tried some combinations. Love it. The first time I made a simple vanilla ice cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch with a caramel drizzle. I also tried their Cookie Monster, and affogato .

I love this place! I live right down the street and come once a week. The guys behind the counter are great, especially Louis. Very chill!

Great little independent spot in Brighton. We got two different shakes. Each were super decadent . The staff was awesome - super chill and kind.

I am in love with Day and Night Cereal Bar! I love it even more that it is a minority / Black owned shop. I saw this on an IG reel and had to come see and try it for myself. The unassuming exterior disguises a fun and vibrant atmosphere hidden behind those doors. As I entered, the nostalgia yet fun vibe puts me in a mellow mood. The menu is small but you can see that they are thoughtfully crafted. We got the Liquid Gold shake, Fresh Prince of Boston bowl, and waffle fries. They offer non-dairy products too! The Liquid Gold shake was incredible! I expected it to be super sweet but it wasn't. The Fresh Prince of Boston was so fun with all the colorful cereals and sprinkled with green. The waffle fries drizzled with Reese's peanut butter (the legit brand) and dipped into maple syrup was a fun way to consume this novel breakfast idea. Overall, love the vibe and the owners and staff members were super polite, patient, attentive, hardworking, and helpful. This fun spot is great for any age group. Cereal is legit an American staple. We all grew up with it and I love how they can make a mundane breakfast with a fun twist!

This is a great spot! I ordered The Beehive, which was Honey Bunches of Oats and Cheerios with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon roll drizzle, and a graham cracker. The menu is so creative and fun and has something for everyone. The owners clearly love the work and their customers. The store is clean and decorated in perfect 90s throwback nostalgia. Particularly good was the tip to pour the milk over the ice cream bowl. By the end it was soggy, sweet, and the best treat I've had in some time.

Love the vibe in this establishment. The wall art was cool and super creative. Such a nostalgic feeling as soon as you walk through the door. The creative menu was easy to digest and the service was amazing. Young entrepreneurs bringing a delicious and innovative dessert to Oak Square. We got the following: Vanilla Ice Cream, Honey Combs, Cocoa puffs, Whip cream, Oreo w/ Chocolate Drizzle and Whole Milk. Vanilla Ice Cream, Crunch Berries, Whip Cream, Golden Oreo and Whole Milk. Amazing experience. Will be back!!!

My mom came for a visit a couple weeks ago, I live around the corner, and she spotted the cereal bar almost right away. We stopped by after an afternoon in town and loved it! The bowls/shakes are very creative, but you can also build your own. Bonus: the guys who run the place are so nice! I've told all my Brighton/Allston friends to check it out.

The milk shakes are so good, and not something you can get anywhere else. They also have dairy free options which is really nice!

I've ordered Fuel America two days in a row because of how good their matcha, fruit bowls, and croissants are. The matcha is just amazing, they have a ton of flavor selections and milk options, I was so happy there wasn't an up charge for oat milk unlike other places I've ordered from. Their fruit bowls are SO fresh, I was truly shocked at how good their berries were, no soggy or mushy ones. To me, I feel like they definitely put care into making the bowls and they are so beautifully put together as well. And last but certainly not least, the croissants are absolutely delicious. They are perfectly cooked, soft, flaky and buttery. Can't wait to try more stuff

The aptly named Fuel America fulfills this purpose, offering ample seating, an array of drinks, and light bites. The coffee is perfectly good. The one food item I have tried, a chicken pesto sandwich, was adequate for a working lunch but nothing special in terms of taste. I've come here during peak hours and have reliably been able to find seating. Pricing is reasonable, staff are friendly, and the cafe is clean, well-maintained, and quiet enough to focus on work.

Coffee: it's rare to find coffee that is good enough to drink black. That said, George Howell's drip coffees, pour overs, and espressos are arguably best enjoyed black. The iced coffee and cold brew is also amazing AND they have decaf cold brew The espresso beverages are amazing - cortado, cappuccino, latte.. yum. All of which can also be decaf or half caf.
