The cake held up nicely during my drive on the highway to bring this to my friend's house 15 minutes away to celebrate and the cake tasted fresh of course! We wanted to try the taro bun but that seems like a popular one since they were already sold out by noon. We ended up getting a Japanese custard bun, matcha blackberry cream crusty bun, pineapple bun, and a cha shu pork bun. Japanese custard was very good. Slightly sweet and the custard was creamy. Cha shu pork bun was just okay, but it think I'm used to the Chinese cha shu pork bun and this was Japanese style. The pineapple bun had a sugar coating on top, again, it was fine. The matcha blackberry cream bun was refrigerated and surprisingly the bun quality was not affected by being in the fridge! Blackberry cream was good, not too sweet but sweet enough to be a dessert pastry. The prices were reasonable (pricier than Chinatown for sure), ranging from $2.5-$5.5. We stopped again on a Sunday morning and it's 'seedo cafe' instead of 'seed' cafe. They have a variety of handcrafted lattes (weekday only drip coffee and a couple other offerings) and the pastries are more dessert style. FYI they do not have any of their regular buns on the weekends! We were bummed but still ended up getting a variety of pastries. We tried all the flavors of the custard buns: matcha red bean, blueberry lemoncurd, rose lychee. Matcha red bean was the best, the red bean added a little texture to the custard. Blueberry lemoncurd was good but sweeter than the other two. Lastly, the rose lychee had a very distinct rose taste. It didn't suit my taste since it felt like eating a flower lol. We also tried the strawberry matcha cookies (quite heavy on the matcha and sweet) and the black sesame mochi tart. The winner of all the pastries is the black sesame tart. It's not the prettiest presentation (hence why I didn't take a photo) but it's the most delicious! We didn't get to try their lattes since we didn't know they were available, but will have to try some next time. Overall solid bakery to have in the area. Would love for them to also offer regular buns on the weekends so I can bring them to gatherings and parties but I understand it would be too much to do both.

They didn't have gelato or ice creams left at the time we went. We grabbed a tiramisu cake slice and a M&M cookie to go. Nice staff, bathrooms to the back. Cookie was the thin style and not overly sweet! Enjoyed right away on our walk back! The tiramisu was light and airy. Heavy on the coffee flavor and the lady seemed to enjoy it!
