    Creamy mango
    Victoria C.

I was excited to try new cake place out as the replacement of Starbucks. I met a friend here to get some work done and she orders through toast to place our orders. It did take a while to get our orders since they probably do the in house orders first. We decided on trying one of the box cakes and ended up getting passionfruit as it was something different we normally wouldn't see. Neither of us were really a fan of the cake, it was a bit dense and soggy and my friend said it tasted a little sour. I suggested it might be from the passionfruit or it could be old as we weren't sure how long the cakes had been sitting in the display case. On the other hand, the creamy mango drink that I had was pretty good. It had a strong mango and milk flavor to it. There's a few small tables and a window bench area as well as a few tables outside for people to enjoy their cakes. Overall, I would probably go back and try a different cake or pastry to check and see how it is.

Cute cake shop in Newton center. They also have some pastries like cinnamon rolls and muffins but mostly cakes. Coffee and drinks too. I got the cookie butter cake which the frosting was really good but the cake was dry and crumbly. Tasted more like a coffee cake than a cake. I would try something else if I came back here. Employees were very friendly and brought us water which was nice touch. The cake was around 10$ Pretty overpriced. Overall though I really like the concept of a bakery that's mostly cakes and they were very aesthetic and there was nice ambiance in here.

Dulce de leche and coconut tres leches cake and banana bread latte

This place just opened in Newton Centre today where Starbucks was, about a 2 minute walk from the T stop! I got a banana bread iced latte and a dulce de leche and coconut tres leches. They also had other baked goods like banana bread, some smaller cakes, etc., and had mini cakes too which I was eyeing (I'll come back for you brigadeiro and cookies and cream mini cakes!). Very quick and friendly service, the workers at the front (one of whom said they were one of the owners!) were very attentive and spoke to all of the customers. Banana bread latte was pretty good, and the cake was delicious! Not too sweet for either, which I loved. The place was very clean with a lot of seating, and I'll probably come here to do work in the near future. I believe they also do custom cakes too. I wish them the best!

Newly renovated trendy spot in Newton centre. The team was super welcoming as we walked in. The display is filled with some dangerously tempting desserts. We got the Maria Luisa, filled with a nice orange cream, fluffy cake but a little too sweet for me. There are a few seats, tables, and no charging ports. I particularly liked that dine in drinks aren't served in paper cups. The place is new, clean and hot. Can't wait to try their other delicious cakes and pastries.

Ordered the Banana Bread latte and a blueberry scone. Both were incredibly tasty! I'll be back to try more items.

The menu says fresh, healthy, etc. etc. the only thing fresh about that bagel was the avocado and maybe the egg. Pretty sure it was Oscar Meyer "bacon" or some other form of microwavable bacon (which isn't really bacon ). Which is totally unacceptable in this day and age. And the sweet sauce they put on it was horrendous. My stomach hurt the entire day. If you're not going to use quality bagels and quality bacon, you should not be charging almost $13 a sandwich. your menu should also list the ingredients line by line. I asked the cashier what was on this and he did not mention a disgusting sweet sauce. It's no wonder there's a line out the door for the café down the street and two people inside this café. Although I did not get anything else, but that sandwich, I will not be returning based on that alone. You should be ashamed for even serving that.

Everything I've tried here has been tasty. They have limited seating so I've seen it completely full if someone brings a larger group through the doorway. They have a bathroom that is keypad locked so if you've made a purchase just ask them for the #. The Hokkaido Toast sandwich was light and airy. The signature cream does make it on the sweeter side. It paired so well with the rose matcha latte which I've ordered twice now. The pastries and cakes look so tempting too in the display panels. I don't typically drink coffee but if I ever get there early enough I'll try the Crème Brûlée, Vienna Pistachio, or their signature latte. As a tea lover they also have some additional retail items for you to browse for tea steeping and gift sets. The only downside and maybe that's what makes it not as crazy busy on weekends as Tatte is that I want even more options. You can also order whole cakes too if one slice isn't enough. When it gets warmer I will try some of their smoothies and chilled drinks over ice!

I love chocolate croissants and this is one of my go tos for it. I've never had anything here I didn't enjoy and the prices are reasonable. So worth the visit if you're in the area, I come by every time I'm near Newton. I came around 1pm on my most recent visit and they still had a good stock of baked goods. It can get busy here but the staff do a good job moving people along. Some seating but definitely hard to get a spot during peak times. Street parking mostly so it can get hard to find a spot.

For a cookie that has been so hyped up I was truly disappointed, and trust me, I have had my share of chocolate chip cookies from everywhere and can usually say good or at least decent things about them, maybe they had a bad batch? Probably would not go out of my way for SALT on another Boston trip.

It's so funny, everywhere we went today there was a Tatte Bakery right next door. Guess it was a sign for us to get something from Tatte haha. I've honestly only ever visited Tatte a few times. Usually to get a drink or shakshuka. Today, we decided to get a pistachio croissant and an iced matcha latte. I love pistachio croissants with pistachio cream filling but I find that not many places around here offer that. It's usually just the croissant with crushed pistachios on top. This one, to my surprise, did have pistachio cream inside. Only had a little smear of the cream though. I found the croissant to be meh. The pistachio cream itself was tasty, however, the croissant was incredibly dry and crunchy. Must be a bit stale since we visited ~6pm/later in the day. 2.5/5 As for the matcha iced latte, it wasn't anything to write home about. It was bland. No real matcha flavor & to me, tasted like green colored milk. I'm sure they use some type of matcha powder to make the drink but this was absolutely no bueno. Unimpressed. Perhaps the worst matcha latte I've ever had. 0/5 Overall, not likely to revisit Tatte for these items. Staff was nice though!! Parking: street parking
