    10 bucks for this sundae
    Jay M.

Needed a desert after a dinner in Boston in way home. Stopped in and ordered a hot fudge sundae large With sweet cream ice cream Guy ask me if I want hot fudge? Told him hot fudge, nuts, whipped cream Nuts were whole walnuts vs chopped ones and tough to chew Whip cream looked cool Whip with no air Not much ice cream as was almost 10 bucks More fudge than ice cream Disappointed and won't be back for another visit

Raspberry sorbet was not my favorite, it was a little too sweet and kind of slimy. Weird how it wasn't light, crisp and refreshing, like how normal sorbets are. Their coffee flavor was fair. Their small is quite large and they don't have kids sizes. My son enjoyed his strawberry ice cream with a sugar cone, which justifies the 3 stars.

I grew up on this place and I can assure you that it never disappoints. I went most my life ordering one scoop of Oreo, one scoop of cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles on top. Ever since they added "Cookie Monster" to their menu (I wanna say about 7 years ago), I have not ordered anything else since. Cookie Monster is the perfect ratio of Oreo ice cream and cookie dough mixed together into one flavor. Heaven on earth. The star to my burst. The fruit to my loop. The peanut to my butter. The hot to my dog. You get the gist. Incredible stuff. In general, they do have a ton of flavors on the menu -- keeping it real with the classics but also throwing in seasonal flavors and specials of the day. The soft serve selection isn't the best but you don't go to White Mountain for soft serve. You go for hard ice cream and only hard ice cream. What gives this place its charm is a few things: it's open until midnight everyday (for all you late night sweet tooth snackers), it's got BC memorabilia hanging up everywhere (GO EAGS), it provides free water and supplies water cups (huge perk midday after a run down Comm Ave), and it's got a state of the art gum-ball machine that hasn't been cleaned or refilled since like 2002 or something. Again, incredible stuff. Tonight in particular, after finishing my ice cream on the handy dandy outdoor bench, a flock of incoming BC freshman showed up all at once in their orientation squads. I mean the line was literally out the door. Ugh we love to see it. What better way to make new friends then to walk across the street, wearing lanyards with your first and last name on it, mingling with your new homies, munchin on some Cookie Monster ice cream until midnight? Ahh the days. A blast from the past to see that again but very happy to see WMC still holds as the place to be!

Please have ice cream here! You'll never want to go home : ) They make the ice cream on site using New England cream - yum!! The team here is friendly and kind. The interior is a way back machine.

Cookie Monster Sunday, with Reeses Pieces, peanut butter sauce, and whip cream at 11:04 PM. There no other place with whole made ice cream that tastes delicious. Their open when your ice craving hits from 11am to 12 am. Not too mention their unbeatable prices. Definitely recommend the trip to White Mountain Creamery in Chestnut Hill.

Great ice cream. Excellent oreo and coffee oreo. Staff are kind, courteous, and quick. The $1.75/topping is a bit steep - got 4 toppings (small scoops of each) and for $7, yikes! Picked up a pint for $13.75.

Half and half Pumpkin and apple seasonal ice creams

Definitely a spot worth checking out especially if you're looking for unique flavors! I tried their seasonal pumpkin Oreo with apple pie ice cream flavors (half and half) and I'm hooked. It's not overwhelmingly sweet but it hits the spot especially if you love fall flavors like these. Service is quick and they're also super kind -- they allowed customers to taste a few flavors and all are super tasty. It can be hard to choose which flavors to get! Definitely coming back for more.

Creative ice cream flavors kind staff. Try the black raspberry chocolate chip if they have it. Beware of the BC kids.

Great ice cream and range of flavor options. Timely service, and I appreciated the clear sign on the door re: no ApplePay!

Far out blends fruit into their ice creams which makes them taste out of this world. You can either make your own flavor by choosing a base ice cream and picking out your fruit as well as toppings. I tried the Elvis which is a chocolate banana ice cream with a peanut butter topping and crunchy chocolate pieces and flakes of sea salt. It was so rich and creamy. I loved every bite. The staff was great at keeping up with the line and we got our order in no time at all. One thing I will say is, it's a bit pricey for a small cup. However I understand fresh fruit is expensive and I will pay for a delicious treat like this any day, def worth it. We will definitely be back to try more flavors from Far out.

I recently was nearby this location on a hot summer evening, and decided to stop in to finally try it out again. Summer and ice cream is a good pair. Going inside, you order by yourself on kiosks, not at the counter. There are signs to guide you to the iPads to order, but if it's crowded inside, this isn't the most intuitive thing for a newcomer. The ordering kiosks are practically the furthest location from the entrance. It was crowded when I went, but mostly with people eating their ice cream or waiting for an order so once I found the kiosk, I was able to order pretty quickly. Even with a bunch of people hanging out on a summer night, I was impressed that my order was ready pretty quickly (less than 5 minutes from placing the order). I decided to get the Vegan Kookaberry (vegan vanilla base) with blueberry and mango New Zealand style. It was good and serving was acceptable, but mine started to melt pretty quickly and was dripping over the side of my cup (about 5 minutes after getting it). Also, it is on the pricier side for ice cream, even without adding on things like toppings. For any non-dairy folks, you have to pay extra for the vegan substitution, which I genuinely find annoying. I do like that each order is made on the spot and you can customize flavors from time to time. I would go back again to try other options, but I personally wouldn't go out of my way for it.
