    sweet potato cheesecake

This place was on the list of bakeries to visit in Atlanta, so I was excited to visit. I was surprised to see the shop half empty on an early Thursday morning, though. I did not even know Bill Clinton had visited her store before and tried the sweet potato cheesecake. So, it was interesting to see. I expected her to have more bread, but it was just a bunch of cookies, muffins, and cheesecake. Everything was big. The muffin was 2 in 1 for $10, but I just wanted one because it was my first time here, and I did not want to spend that much on something I wasn't too sure about the taste. Graciously, she allowed me to purchase just one blueberry muffin. The muffin was good but not otherworldly good. The price of the sweet potato was alarming since it was small but priced at $10 just because it was linked to a former president. It was my first time trying a sweet potato cheesecake, so I was unprepared for the overwhelming taste of sweet potato. It was overly sweet as well. I feel that this is something that can only be tried once.

This place was sent from heaven. Here, the standard is the standard and every visit is always a treat (figuratively and literally). They had plenty selections to choose from so I chose a pound cake, sweet potato pie and the world famous sweet potato cheesecake. They had me at the cheesecake, I use to frequent this bakery a long time ago when they were in the farmers market. Never knew the name, but always knew I could find them there... until I couldn't. Every visit I would frequent different bakeries hoping to find or and upon one taste, I knew, it wasn't it. Their sweet potato cheesecake is like no other. A definite must try. Everything else is a heavenly bonus. The customer service is wonderful, the stores was clean and charming. Parking was across the street in a paid parking lot but the cost was minimal. All our desserts were moist and delicious. Can't wait to visit there again!

    Delicious!

I heard about this place from Rachel Ray's 40 dollars a day. I was craving sweet potato pie and it was perfectly sweet with a flaky buttery crust. I also tried the sweet potato cheesecake but I was not a fan. It was pretty bland and not sweet - also it was a strange texture for a cheesecake. I also purchased some sweet potato butter which is really good on muffins! The shop is teeny tiny but the owner was the one who helped me. Very charming lady!!

$45 for this mess! After one slice, I trashed it!

This one is located in the heart of Auburn Avenue, and embraces the soul of the historic neighborhood. The interior is small but does have the exposed brick which permeates the buildings historic charm. I love pecan pie and this one did not fail my expectations. Additionally, the blueberry cobbler was amazing. However, if you want update your gustatory experience and reward your taste buds, I recommend heating those desserts up and pairng it with some ice cream. Parking is limited though.

We drove downtown specifically to try out this spot - paid $8 for parking in the lot next to the building. Front space Clean fun inviting feel with handwritten notes on wall. Service: The young lady helping was nice, but we waited at least 10 minutes before she came to the front to greet and assist myself and another customer before me. No pudding available Cobbler: had barely any crust (iyktyk) and the filling could use improvement. I think we were also supposed to get ice cream ? If so we didn't get it. I got the cinnamon roll with apple butter. I thought it would be throughout but it was on top, and the roll itself was a little dry. Purchase 2 peanut butter cookies that were huge for my son. Not sure how they were but he didnt complain so I assume they were good.

We saw some of the really cute things in the window, so we walked in and it did not disappoint. The place was filled with chocolates macaroons and a whole bunch of pastries. You could also order a whole variety of espresso drinks and lattes, etc. It even had a really cute seating area directly outside, but if you could fit yourself inside, there was some bar seating as well. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. I don't know who's making this stuff but they are truly talented. I have to come back here again when I'm in Buckhead Village.

I guess I must've written it off due to the parking situation, and I honestly would've never visited, but a friend suggested coming here, so here I am. It's very, very limited parking. I'm not sure if we're *allowed* to park in the nearby parking lots, and I didn't have to, but if there's only like 6 spaces with barely enough space for cars to pass through entering and exiting... idk, it's not for me, esp when Doraville can get v traffick-y and the turn lanes are just waiting. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

We went pretty soon after they opened, so maybe they were still working out kinks with their machines as the 2 matcha soft serves we ordered were quite different. Both good, but not consistent at all. One was icier with stronger matcha flavor and was much darker in color. The other was smoother, creamier, less matchey, and lighter in color. I preferred the darker one with the stronger matcha flavor a tad more. Overall, I would recommend. Good softseve either way!

Very tight. It was probably cute when they opened but it felt a little muted/old to me.
