I ordered a veggie sandwich. Their jalapeño cheese bread was so good -- honestly, that bread alone is worth the visit. It's baked fresh in-house, and you can taste the difference. My husband ordered the Original sandwich and it was piled high with meat and fresh veggies. They also offer pizza, salads, & soups. There's even a Cinnabon inside, which makes it even better if you're craving something sweet. But the…read moreexperience I just had as I tasted the food prepared by Chef J of Dished Palate was a FLAVOR JOURNEY that I'd have a hard time describing in fewer words. To begin with, Dished Palate is located in Georgia directly servicing the metro ATL area, but they ship nation-wide so I was able to enjoy their food from my home in Maryland in just a couple of days after placing my order. My order consisted of a select sampling of dishes including Jerk Chik'n Wraps, Garlic and Herb seasoned Grilled Chicken Breast, Sirloin Tips, Cajun Pasta with Chicken and Sausage, and assorted flavors of their Timonade drinks each flavor packed with varying healing herbs such as ashwagandha, aloe vera, and hibiscus flower. The bourbon sirloin tips order included two side items which I chose broccoli and roasted potatoes. In hindsight I probably should have opted for a different side as reheating the broccoli resulted in a soft almost mushy texture. I can probably change my reheating method to prevent that, but it's something I'll keep in mind in future shipped orders. The potatoes were tasty though and well seasoned. Of course the star of this particular meal were the sirloin tips. Each morsel was tender and delicious, with the flavor of bourbon, with hints of garlic, butter and herb. It was excellent! The grilled chicken breast was and equally tender and satisfying. Of all of the items though, I have to admit I was most skeptical of the Jerk Chik'n Wraps. As this is a vegan-friendly menu item, the "chicken" of course was plant-based which for me was unexplored grounds. In short, this actually turned out to be my favorite of the group of items, and I am now a believer in plant-based. The jerk flavors came through BIG with a sweet punch and had the perfect amount of heat in the finish. Combined with the bite from the thinly sliced red onion, crisp green spinach, and fresh herbs I was an instant fan! This wrap can easily go toe-to-toe with any of the absolute best sandwiches I've had, period! I would definitely recommend Dished Palate to anyone looking for meal-prep at an affordable rate and delivered (as I was), or even those looking for a delicious lunch offering in the ATL-metro vacinity.
