I absolutely love this place. They have the best red velvet cake. Everything here is tasty. I have never had a bad dessert from here. The cakes are soft and moist and the cream cheese frosting is perfection. They're located inside of Greenbriar mall in the food court. The cashiers are always nice. Delicious!!!!! We came across this place by accident as we were waiting for our food from another restaurant in the food court. I watched a steady line of traffic come and go before my child asked to go over. The employee took his time to explain every item and flavor to my youngest child more than once and was more than kind and patient. Our items did not disappoint. Fresh, moist, and what you'd expect of a good red velvet. Although we grabbed a few goodies to try and wish I would've gotten a slice of cake as well. Price point is excellent and the customer service was phenomenal. It was around 5pm so there wasn't a huge crowd so that was a plus. We'll definitely give them a try again when in the area. So happy I stopped by this restaurant. I've just started coming to Greenbriar's Food Court when one of my favorite food trucks (Creole Orleans Catering) opened here like a year or so ago. After picking up my food I passed by Red Velvet Mama and it was the smell from the back that had me turning around to check out their menu. Whatever they were baking smelled so good and rich and comforting. I also liked they had a candle burning. The lady told me they have multiple locations including at Stonecrest Mall. This location in Greenbriar has been there for four years. I have never noticed it before. I wanted to try their strawberry cupcake but she was sold out. So I tried their namesake, red velvet without the nuts. I was in love. Moist, soft, and tasty. The icing was perfect. Very rich and sweet. I will definitely come back to support. read more

I stopped by here waiting for my sandwich from the restaurant next-door and I will tell you my daughter is right the cupcakes are out of this world and so was my old fashioned custard coconut pie! I took a quick bite of the pie because it looked so delicious and it was gone in less than two minutes! Yes it is so good!!! read more

I'm not gonna lie, I read the reviews and saw a complaint about the service and kind of knew the cake was gonna be amazing. I didn't have a bad experience though, everyone was polite and it was very quick to order. This is probably the best red velvet cake that I've tried thus far, ESPECIALLY in Atlanta. It was soft, moist, and not an overpowering sweetness that makes your teeth hurt. I can see why there aren't many reviews, in a city that's very populated you can't always spread the word because as soon as you do it's a line out the door and now Greenbriar has valet and no parking. I've walked passed this place so many times . Today i was feeling spontaneous. I purchase two whoopies cookies . One was a blue velvet cake with Oreos & chocolate cookie bites with cream filling . The second was a red Velvet cake with oreo cookie bites filled with cream . The cakes was moist , melt in your mouth moist . I highly recommend them . Everytime I'm in Greenbriar, I have to stop by here for their Whoopi Cookies. I love them. I spend anywhere from $12 to $20 on them. However, the last 2 times weren't pleasant. The first time was because they weren't fresh. The cookies inside of the cookie monster were mushy/soft. They're supposed to have a fresh crunch to them. This let's you know that they aren't fresh. Maybe day old or 2 day old product. I made a note to self to ask for the fresh ones the next time I went back. Well, that was today. There was a older man that I had never seen before working the register. I asked him if the cookies were freshly baked today and he told me yes so quickly and brushed me off. I felt like he was lying and just wanted me to shut up and "hurry up and buy". Notice the brighter blue vs the dull blue in the picture. If it's fresh, the brighter blue shows all the way around even on the edges. If it's been sitting, it'll be dull and dry looking because ITS NOT FRESH!!! It will also taste that way. The cream tasted stale and the outer layer had a crusty feel as if its been sitting in the air. One thing I can't stand is a liar and he told a bold faced one. However, the lemon one was made to perfection, moist and fresh just like it should have been. Next time, I know what to look for regardless as to what anyone says. Makes you shake your head when trying to patronize our people because IT BE YOUR OWN DAMN PEOPLE! However, I will not take away their baking skills.
