This place has to hands down have thee best coffee I have ever had in a long time! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There is a section to lounge and look at some art. They support local businesses by displaying some local mugs and other items. They roast the coffee themselves in shop and they ship all over the US as well! The staff, which was a family affair (we love), was super friendly, informative, and full of smiles.. oh! And they know their coffee!! We were just passing through town to head back home when we tried this place but man do I wish I could've packed them up and brought them with me to Houston!! Nice place in downtown Fort Smith. Along with coffee, they have pastry breakfast food. Lots of choices in coffee selection, great open space and local art for sale hanging on the walls. The owner was present and welcoming, but the young kids working here are still learning the intricacies of coffee...no biggie, everyone is very nice. Cute and quaint. Breakfast croissants are ginormous! Servers were very helpful and eager to talk about the coffees they roast in house. Nice location in downtown Ft. Smith. Will definitely stop again. Get the breakfast special and you'll also get unlimited coffee refills (in house). read more

The ambiance is just what you want in a quiet and cozy coffeehouse. That doesn't compare to the amazing taste and quality of their coffee. Of all the coffee houses in Fort Smith you will not find one as good as here. Stan knows everything you could ever want to know about where, when, why, and how of coffee beans. Tried the Artistic Autumn hot latte (12oz) and it was delicious. Very well made with authentic fall flavors. My fiancé pointed me in the direction of this great locally owned coffee shop, and it's reason 7893 why I love her so much. This coffee shop is so quaint and welcoming. I visit local coffee shops anytime I'm traveling and I have to say... this shop is my go to when I'm in the area. I literally look forward to tasting these beans. I love the fact the owner roasts all the organic beans himself with a beautiful little roaster. I've had the pleasure of visiting with the owner a couple of times and he's a very nice gentleman. I'll always spend my money for a great product, but it's a cherry on top when it goes to a family with great values. Can't wait till my next cup... do yourself a favor and go taste those beans. This is not a review for the great coffee this place has or the very friendly and prompt service. I also really liked the huge place and the art inside ( looked like local) , I was really happy to find great tasting coffee in Fort Smith. What this one star is for is the message on the tip jar , that reads " due to minimal wages tip your Barista, thank you, the Management" are you kidding me? Well Mr. or Mrs management how about YOU paying your employees fair wages? Wages they can live off? Ever thought about that? Would you work for minimal wages and have your bosses solicit for you? This is just gross to say the least. If I m ever back in Fort Smith I will for sure not come back here! Sorry to all the people that have to work here and don't get a fair pay I feel for you and surly hope you can leave as fast as possible and find some better paid job! read more

Father and daughter duo serves the most delicious cookie frapp and unsweetened dark, bold Americano. When you walk into Artistic Bean, the smell just captures your soul. A cozy locally owned coffee shop. They brew their own beans onsite. There is a nice breakfast and lunch menu in addition to the coffee's. We came across this shop while traveling through town and spent about a hour just taking. Very nice spot and very good coffee. read more

Hubby and I were traveling through Fort Smith for work and decided to stop at this coffee shop. They had one of the best lattes I have ever tasted. We ended up buying the espresso beans they used so we could make our own at home since we are far from Fort Smith. The only let down is that they had to close down the kitchen and lay off workers during the pandemic to keep afloat so we couldn't try any of the food items except for their baked goods (which were amazing by the way) read more

This is the best coffee that I have come across in the US. Spent some time in Europe, and learned what a real cuppa tastes like, and when I came back I was sorely disappointed in what the average American calls "good cpffee". Until I found The Artistic Bean. They roast their beans in house, and they serve a beautiful shot of espresso. Truly the only place I'll go to for coffee in the entire state. read more

I'm from out of town & happened upon this place for coffee & lunch - I was NOT disappointed!!! Their coffee is very strong & flavorful, with tons of options how to take it. Their lunch special seemed a little expensive to me but after having the BLT, I would've paid the price again! The food is AMAZINGLY delicious with a very large variety! Not just a Starbucks competitor. Starbucks doesn't even come close. Atmosphere is nice; and the staff friendly. I learned a lot about coffee; and yes there is a lot to know for those who care. The coco mix comes with a variety of proteins to try from if you want a little of everything! The falafel in it was so crunchy yet soft inside. The cashier was super helpful wirh his recommendations and made sure we were comfy. I appreciate the variety of drinks he offered as well, giving customers options and his personal input! While I do agree with some reviews that the wait can be long, the anticipation is so worth it. I'd never expect such a great restaurant in a small city on the outskirts of Arkansas, but I will be revisiting just for a taste of Nara.

Then, they brought us 4 strips of solidly BURNT bacon! I had enough and took it back. The first young lady pushed the plates back at me and said, "There's your bacon!" And walked behind the wall to chat with her friends. Now pissed, I yelled, "Hello!" A young man came around with a deer-in-the-headlights look. I told him, "You all are not paying attention to your guests. The burritos are wrong. The bacon is burnt. You can just keep it." No apologies. No offer to refund the $6.50 plus taxed burrito.
