Not very welcoming. Seemed annoyed that I wasn't ordering fast enough. Seemed like a nice place from the outside.

After fetching my order, I needed to find a Tim Hortons to get a special donut that was only available last weekend. I did a quick search and there was a Timmy's two blocks away. Sweet! I drove over to this Timmy's. It's a combo store with Wendy's. Here's proof that I am more of a Wendy's person than a Timmy's one. I went through the Wendy's drive-thru. It is such a habit. It was my first time driving right through it without placing an order. For a second, I thought about getting a Frosty, but I wasn't feeling it. I drove around the block and hit the proper Timmy's drive-thru. It was definitely a longer wait here than Wendy's. When it was my turn to order, I got a woman who seemed rather hasty. When I finally said that I wanted to get a #chooseToInclude donut, I got this exchange: "The sprinkle donut? Sure," she said. "Is that what the #chooseToInclude is also called? A sprinkle donut?" From what I saw in the graphic, half of the donut had sprinkles on it. I then heard a male colleague correct her and reassure me that my order was for this special donut. It's not the first time that I end up sounding brainy because a Timmy's employee doesn't know what's on the menu. If I came here just for an ordinary sprinkle donut, I'd be bummed out. I normally don't hit Timmy's for a donut. The whole reason why I wanted this donut was that all proceeds from its sale were going to Special Olympics Canada. I wanted to support it. I got to the window and had my Tim rewards barcode scanned from my phone. I paid with a debit card. I then got my donut. I thanked the woman, who didn't say a thing, and I headed home. I had my donut when I got home. The #chooseToInclude donut is a chocolate ring donut with white fondant, coloured sprinkles, and whipped topping. I do like Timmy's special donuts. This one was delightful. It had a bit of sweetness. I didn't crash from a sugar or carb high an hour later. It was so good for $1.69 before tax. I have a streak that continues where I don't get the warmest, most knowledgeable Timmy's employee at a drive-thru in the GTA. It's the main reason why I am not a regular. This Timmy's was fine. Not horrible. Not the best. Fine. (55)

I needed another drink. I walked away from the food court and found Real Fruit Bubble Tea. Perfect! I looked at the menu while waiting in line. There was a person ahead of me. I love real watermelon that's pulverized into juice. I saw whole watermelons at the back of this store. Yes, please! When it was my turn to approach the counter, I got the nicest young man who guided me through the drink ordering process. I got a medium watermelon juice with mixed coconut jelly. It was cool looking at all the jelly flavours. The strawberry and green apple jellies looked good, too. Next time! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and paid. Done! It didn't take long for my drink to be made. The place had pre-cubed watermelon chunks and plopped them into the blender. Nice! I thanked the man who handed my drink to me. I got a paper straw and read the instructions on how to poke it through the drink's seal. The downside is that folks take a straw, unwrap it, and leave the wrapper on the table. I don't get it when there's a garbage steps away. I loved this drink. It was delicious. It was cold and naturally sweet. The mixed coconut jelly also added some sweetness, but it wasn't disgustingly sweet. I look forward to returning for more yummy drinks. It's a good store. (340)

The most below average cup of bubble tea I've ever had. Due to the current situation, I decided to…read moresplurge on an overpriced cup of bbt (delivery service fees) because my cravings were at an all time high being under social isolation. They now offer delivery services via Uber Eats and I was quick to hop on that offer because I'm a GTA east ender and there aren't any other bbt delivery options within the radius. I ordered a medium sized honey milk green tea with tapioca. The tea itself was fine, but the 2 stars lies entirely in the quality of tapioca I received... because what's bbt without the tapioca? It tasted like day old tapioca or tapioca leftover from the bottom of the pot. Extremely disappointing. Most of the pearls were some sort of broken up and really soft... but not the good kind of soft. You can kind of see in the picture but I wasn't given a good ratio of tapioca either.. it wasn't just bad, but it was also stingy. The silver lining is that it helped end my bbt craving because it was that much of a letdown. Mind you, I've ordered from other RFBT locations a lot in the past and I didn't have any complaints. This was my first time at this location... any bbt place that has bad tapioca is an automatic no from me.

Tip: Earn Tims rewards with every purchase. You can redeem your points towards food and drink…read more Last Friday was National Donut Day. Tim Hortons had a deal where you could get a donut for $1 with a purchase of a hot or iced coffee. I know that other donut joints offer a free donut to mark this day. Frankly, I avoid such promotions. Lining up and dealing with crowds, especially after a rather trying workweek, isn't exactly what I call fun. I'm good shelling out for a donut. Getting a deal is also great! This Tim Hortons is a combo store with Burger King. Nope, it's not a typo. This Burger King used to be a Wendy's. I have fond memories coming here for lunch with colleagues when I worked in Scarborough. Sadly, it didn't survive. However, BK is doing OK here. After fetching dinner from BK, I parked my car, took our my Timmy's app, and placed my order for these items: - Medium iced coffee - Honey crueller Sadly, the toasted coconut donut wasn't eligible for this deal. Thankfully, this place makes this fine donut variety. I paid for my order with my Tims gift card. I then hit the drive-thru. To get to it, I had to pass by the BK drive-thru with folks exiting it. It's probably the most dangerous part of this combo store's setup. Drive carefully. I got the most cheerful male voice on the other end. I let him know that I had an order under my name. He found it and said that I could drive on up to the pickup window. It was cool approaching the window, as it allowed me to get the best view of this combo store's entrance. I hadn't seen it in over a decade. It was my first time hitting the drive-thru. The friendly male staffer handed my iced coffee and bag with my honey crueller to me. I thanked him, safety put away my goodies before I drove home. I enjoyed my iced coffee. It's one of the few coffee drinks that I like, probably because it's creamy and cold. I had my honey crueller when I got home. I love this donut so much. It's airy and slightly sweet. Yum! It was nice dropping by this Timmy's. I'd return to try more items off the menu. (248)
