I got the small tiramisu cake $32 and was not disappointed it was fresh, creamy and it just melted in your mouth. My review is strictly for the macarons. So I got a Groupon here for 12 large macarons for $14 (the regular price is $18). The pictures of the macarons on their website look delicious and I LOVE macarons so I was so excited to be trying them. I called the store before going to confirm that they have macarons. I was told yes. I got to the store and was told to come back in an hour-and-a-half. I was a bit miffed, but figured at least I'd be getting some freshly made macarons. At least they weren't going to sell me some stale stuff. I come back an hour-and-a-half later and the macarons were there waiting for me. They were far from "large." They were the size of normal macarons. But more of a shock to me were their appearance. I have uploaded 2 pictures here on Yelp. You can see for yourself, but let's just say that I did not find them aesthetically pleasing. They did not look like the macarons on their website. In my opinion, the macarons I got did not look like they were made in a professional bakery but rather in the kitchen of an amateur such as myself. One was broken, the colours were all smeared, they were all different sizes (with one being not much larger than a quarter), and the filling was sloppy. Fortunately, the taste was ok. I got 4 of each vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavour. The strawberry filling was by far the tastiest. It tasted like there were actual strawberries in it and didn't taste artificial. This was the saving grace. The vanilla was just ok and the chocolate was too dense. Overall, very average tasting macarons. The staff there were nice and polite, but I just can't get over the appearance of the macarons. They had a huge selection of Middle-Eastern desserts that looked very pretty though. If I'm ever in the neighbourhood again I might give them another try, but I would only be buying the Middle-Eastern desserts, not the macarons (unless they really step up their game). The bakery is in a strip mall, next to La Bocca Juice (same strip mall as Produce Depot). There's lots of free parking. read more

I came here after having some shawarma nearby and wanted some sweets to take away that garlic smell! ;) I got a spiky chocolate dessert and some of the smaller sweets by weight including one piece of baklava. The chocolate dessert was super rich and really satisfying with the mousse and was about $5 which is fair. The weighted desserts were quite sweet but I enjoyed the piece of baklava. I'm really perplexed at the negative reviews for this place. As far as a bakery is concerned, it is by far superior to the average run of the mill places. It is very clean and well maintained. The style and decor is pleasant and inviting. The space inside is large enough to be comfortable and not claustrophobic. If this place was in my home town in Texas, I'm sure everyone would be flooding in. Unfortunately it's In a town with very high standards that are set by adjoining Bakeries. We went in with my husband who's a local To the area but has been living away. He took me here as the house for the best baklava knowing that I love the desert but hate the overwhelmingly sweet take on it that many bakeries unfortunately embody. We got a giant tray (the largest they had) along with a few extra pieces of other desserts and payed around $75. The price to be honest was way higher than what we were expecting and grossly disproportionate to what we could get in the States. This is the only reason why I cannot give this place a full 5 stars because even a competing bakery we went to that same day, offered a lower price for even a bigger tray than the one we had gotten. Otherwise the baklava I did try was the perfect sweetness with just the right amount of syrup. We had gotten some dairy/cheese desserts that I unfortunately could not enjoy on time (we had forgotten to place them in the fridge all day) and by the next day they were inedible. So I can't judge on anything but the baklava. Otherwise the service was great, the atmosphere and cafe was nicely decorated, cleanly maintained, and the selection of pastries seemed to be quite expansive. Had the price been more reasonable, I would have recommended returning to this place. Otherwise even for baklava, unless the sweetness level is a dealbreaker for you, try another bakery (I tried Malak and the freshness as well as the price was much better. But it was definitely much sweeter, thus leaving me confused as to which I would return to again). read more

Just a little door in a Mall. HA! Walk through that door and you're in Sweet Heaven. And the coffees are amazing. There are dozens of choices from the not-too-sweet to the holy-sweet-nirvana! It is small and only seats maybe 30 people, but comfortably. It is a bright and clean establishment and is now my go-to for coffee and a nosh when I'm in the area. The staff are amazing in that they don't hesitate to explain what each sweet delight is if you ask, and they will communicate down to the minutia what is in each and a little history lesson to go with it. If they are not busy, they will offer a sample. The coffee. Oh the coffee! It is awesome. If you're a coffee drinker like I am, one is not enough! They have several types to choose from. It is a quiet little piece of heaven in a very busy Mall. I recommend visiting to see for yourself how much more than baklava is in Lebanese desserts. Your eyes will widen with pleasure just walking in. All your senses are touched by their whole presentation. A friend and I ordered the pistachio, almond, and chocolate Swiss rolls, and an eclair. The Swiss rolls were great, I'd say the chocolate and pistachio were better than the almond which didn't have a strong almond flavour (I think they don't use artificial almond, so it was just the flavour from the sliced almonds on top). Eclair was great if you like a custard centre (which we did!). Overall, I would definitely get the Swiss rolls again. Giving 4 instead of 5 stars as one of the rolls was significantly smaller than the others. read more

I don't know which was worst the dry piece of cake or the horrible customer service. As soon as I walked into the store the employee that saw me just went to the back for like a 10 mins, I was about to walk out but then she came back. I started to ask her for what I wanted and was told "Just a second, I'll be right with you" three times, mind you that I was the only one in the store. When she proceeded to grab the piece of cake, and grabbed the smallest one from the back that was only half the size of the regular piece. I confronted her about it and she just grabbed me a new one. She didn't even say anything, just stared at me. I paid and left. The cake was dry, service was horrible, things were overpriced. This will be my first and last time buying from here, not recommended, should have just went to walmart to buy their $5 cake instead of the piece of cake I got for $4.40 read more

Got a bunch of different desserts for my birthday. I love sweets and was shopping in the area, so I stopped here even if it didn't have previous good reviews. There was a lot of variety and since I don't know much about Lebanese desserts, I wen't direclty to the fridge at the back, where most desserts were chocolate and mousses. Everything looked good. I took home a millefeuille, white ferrero cake, chocolate ferrero cake, eclair mountain balls, nutella bomb, chocolate croissant and various cookies. I had purchased a Groupon for 12 large macarons for this business. I can contacted them by phone to clarify whether or not I needed to 'pre-order' them and was told to just come in whenever I wanted to pick them up. Several weeks later I showed up at the business and presented my Groupon. I was asked whether this Groupon was purchased before or after March 2015. I wasn't really sure, but had the Groupon in hand which clearly indicated that it was well within the date of expiration. It was never really made clear to my as to why the date of purchase was important, but the woman working said they were no longer honouring the groupon and to contact the company directly to get my money back. Given that I had driven 20 minutes to pick them up and had an event that I was planning to bring the macarons to, I was super irritated. The staff person was totally unsympathetic, borderline rude and did absolutely nothing to try to make my experience there slightly positive. A complementary coffee - hell, a smile - would have gone a long way. I will not be returning. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Save ur money. The place has a reputation however now there sweets and service are below par. They are expensive for nothing. Walked in to order sweets for a dinner they had there 12 yo child make the plate and it looked awful like someone threw it on the plate. When we asked to have it fixed it was like we committed a crime. We asked for a half kilogram they loaded it with extra. Then the owners wife started giving us dirty stares. Honestly no respect or love for the customer all about money. There was one employee there who actually was very professional. And tried to accommodate. Purchased a Groupon for what looked like amazing looking large-sized macarons on their website - totally disappointing. When I went to the store, they had none in the display and the employee finally came out with a tray of about 8 dried up ones that still needed to be filled, with only 2 options of fillings.
