Disappointing experience with Burman's for a couple reasons. We had trees removed and trimmed and…read morestumps ground. During the tree removal we asked the crew to also remove poison ivy, which they said they would. There was still some left and it has taken weeks of following up to understand why. I still don't have an answer after many follow-ups. On the day of stump grinding, we waited around all Saturday and they never showed up. I called and emailed to ask about timing, but no response. The grinder was called away unexpectedly, which happens, but we were never contacted and I had to proactively ask why this was and when they would be coming. No apologies given as they said they don't monitor the phone over the weekend (despite the website saying 24/7 responses). Finally, they trimmed a red oak and didn't mention anything about fatal oak wilt fungus. Apparently if you trim between April and July you should always seal the wound immediately, which other arborists have since told me. This was never mentioned to us and our tree was not sealed so is now at risk for this disease.

Do you know how difficult it is to track someone down from a landscape service to even return a phone call or message? IT IS! (I couldn't even get Blocks Greenhouse to return my two messages!) Insert the prompt referral from Kurtzhals (thank you a million times) to Wrights. I placed 6 phone calls to other landscape companies- and Wrights is the ONLY one that contacted me back. But not only did they contact me back- they did so with 20 minutes of my initial phone call. The owner came out within two weeks right on time for our scheduled appointment. He was professional, kind, real and very upfront with each step that would take place. I informed him that my husband is "thorough" in his research for our home project needs, and he agreed that he would take on any and all questions my dear husband had. I decided to go with them because they offered to get the work done in two weeks and also because they had the most competitive offer (though not dramatically). Two weeks later, they called to push the service back. Then, before they could come, a hurricane hit in Florida so all of their staff went down to Florida. When they returned, I was put on the schedule for the end of October. The end of October came and went without a word. Eventually, they stopped picking up my phone calls (literally just wouldn't answer), and I know this because my wife was able to get through with a different phone number. They eventually stopped picking up her number as well. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else. I haven't dealt with customer service (if you can call it that) this poor in quite some time.
