This is a great shop to get lost in because it is adorable. Beautifully decorated and brimming with charm in every corner! I wanted to buy everything but instead got a few select items for my valentine ahead of time. They have friendly staff here. The candy and fudge looked delicious. I believe they have cooking classes on the top floor. The only negative is how pricey the store is.

While in the area visiting a different establishment, I was captivated by the line of people waiting outside to step in to the fairly newly opened shop which by the way resides inside an old movie theater. Luckily the morning was not too cold and the line moved fairly quickly, before entering this candy haven establishment. The space indoors is bigger than expected, although you're not allowed to go up the stairs to the second level. The main level is large enough to take in all the beautiful gift ideas for all ages as well as the sweets and chocolates you'll see everywhere you look. There are specialty items for different aspects of cooking and for all celebratory ideas. The most intriguing part of my visit was the wall full of quirky clocks. They came in a shapes and colors with fun designs, a great gift for all ages. The staff was helpful with answering our questions on specific items and the line to pay went very smoothly. Will anticipate visiting again in the near future. I'm sure they have cool gift ideas for valentines's day, the next holiday in our midst.

I love this place! Geri is the best. He is so helpful. I tried chocolate cover pretzels, cookies, and chocolates, and I couldn't decide what I liked more. The chocolates I tried were more semi-sweet, which I enjoyed. I love a good cookie, and they have so many to choose from. You truly feel like a kid when you come to this store.

Do you want to visit Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory meets Mr. Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. This place is what childhood dreams are made of. We brought 10 year old girls to have a day in downtown Denville and when we stopped here they were in candy heaven and had so much fun looking and being in this shop. They even sell kitchen decor, accessories, a section with chocolates, clothes, and gifts for welcoming a baby. We love the history behind this historical movie theater transformed into a chocolatier and candy store that has two levels of all things sweet. There literally is something for everyone. Their cookies are devine, just warm them up at home and yum!

This store is to amazing to be true. Every piece is a work of art and brings out excitement and smiles for anyone that walks through the doors. It is a real life Wonka Chocolate Factory...... I have no idea how it is possible to have this many fresh creations in one spot but they pull it off. Hard to believe it is so close to home as it reminds me of a place only a vacation town could offer. Kudos to the owners ad staff

The second floor culinary classroom/kitchen is impressive.

The most difficult aspect of this business - as is with so many amazing food and beverage outlets - is its location. If we weren't in town for my daughter's volleyball tournament, we never would have found this place. But we were...and we did...lovely. We unknowingly pulled on the amazing jellybean-filled door handle 10 minutes before opening and were welcomed by a Texas-born woman who emitted an ownership quality I am trying to find in every employee I hire (she was not the owner). Without going into too much detail, the old matinee theater now confectionary/cooking school used to be located down the road a bit. A year into its new digs and it impressed me, especially the 2nd floor kitchen and party rooms. Obviously the draw is the chocolate, candy, cookies, etc, but the trinkets and keepsakes rival Cracker Barrel. You will see repetition in some displays and apparently the decor changes with the holidays. There's even a gluten/dairy free/vegan area. Lemon cream cupcake was good, chocolate was better. Both were packaged in plastic containers with sealed tabs which allows you to store the other half easily. Lemon macaroon was good, peanut butter-filled/milk chocolate covered pretzel was better. If they sold cold milk by the glass, I would have bought one to wash these down. This place is not for everyone - it's a bit pricy (but really good, house-made desserts are), a little vivid (it will be overwhelming for some) - but they do ship. Nassau candy seems to provide the items not made in the store.

I was lost in the variety of candies and chocolates they have to offer! So many different packages, a lot of them are suitable for a nice gift. Lots of unique candies. The chocolates / truffles are also sold by piece - not sure if they make them in store. They also have macaroons and cupcakes. It's hard to leave the store not buying anything. Everyone can find something here for their sweet taste.

Denville Seafood / Codmother's Cafe on Broadway in downtown Denville stands out for all the right reasons -- with incredibly fresh and tasty locally-sourced fish, a welcoming midscale atmosphere, and staff that actually cares about the customers and food they're serving. Denville Seafood / Codmother's Cafe operates as a seafood market and restaurant. The market offers a variety of fresh seafood all of which is locally-sourced from the New Fulton Fish Market in NYC as well as seafood-based soups and salads prepared on-site to enjoy elsewhere. The other side of the shop offers a sit-down restaurant where the chef can prepare anything sold in the market in a variety of ways for diners to enjoy in the indoor or outdoor dining areas or to go. The menu is extensive and any of the fresh fish -- from bass to tuna -- or shellfish sold in the market are available in the restaurant in a wide variety of preparation styles -- baked, broiled, and fried with white wine-butter sauce, rosemary, lemon-caper, scampi, or teriyaki sauces. Dinner platters (which range from $28 to $45 as of December 2025) include coleslaw, steamed vegetables, and your choice of fries, rice, potatoes, pasta, or extra steamed vegetables. Your imagination is the only thing limiting the number of iterations available. For diners who don't enjoy seafood, Codmother's Cafe offers linguine with or without broccoli, chicken tenders, and the New Jersey-staple Chicken Parmigiana. The atmosphere in the dining room hits that perfect "midscale" sweet spot where it feels special enough for a nice night out, but still relaxed and welcoming for a casual meal with friends and family. The high-energy servers are clearly on top of their game and make the whole experience fun. We'll definitely be back. PRO TIP #1: Be flexible with your order. With all of the seafood sourced daily based on what's available at the New Fulton Fish Market and sold in both the market and restaurant, there's a real risk they might run out of something on the menu so make sure you have a back-up in case your initial craving is 86-ed for the day when you order. PRO TIP #2: Free street parking is available on Broadway and 1st Avenue as well as in the Denville municipal parking lots located on 1st Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue.
