My 97 year old father had been going to the same barber shop for years, which was a really great place. But once he stopped driving, that meant me having to drive from Buffalo to Elma to pick him up, then to West Seneca, then back to Elma, and finally home to Buffalo. Not terrible, but still... A quick search, and what do I find? Miracle of miracles, a new barber shop right in Elma! AND, rave reviews to boot! With a big family event on the weekend, and Dad in desperate need of a haircut, I was trying to find a time when I could get him in to Sweet Grass. I called and spoke with Stephen, one of the owners. Although they accept walk-ins, it being a Friday afternoon, he suggested booking an appointment. He couldn't have been nicer. And not just phony nice because he owns the business and has to be. Genuinely, really, truly NICE. Our appointment was with Paige, and guess what? She was nice too! And Dad got a great haircut at a great price. They have a reward program - fill your card and your next cut is free. AND they offer a discount to veterans. Hallelujah! We have a new barber shop. This. Place. Is. Awesome. read more

I've been going to barber shops all my life and never written a review on any of them. This time is different. I figured I'd give this new barber shop in Elma a try and it was excellent. I was a walk-in and had to wait all of 10 seconds before I was greeted and seated by Matthew. He did a great job and was very personable. For that matter, all three of the barbers were very friendly and easy going. A great group of people, a great atmosphere, and I highly recommend this new barber shop for all those in need of haircut! read more
