I'll be honest, I came here after I found out that my regular barber wasn't open (I'm not a cheater) and I honestly wasn't a huge fan of Rust Belt. Two coworkers recommended this spot, so I thought I would check it out. I called ahead (as you should) and they had one appointment left on a Friday before I had to head out to a conference. Upon walking in, I was greeted with smiling faces and incredibly approachable staff. I checked out the board and noticed one of their first rules- no phone on the chair. I honestly appreciated the dedication to good conversation and a friendly environment. David, the ringleader as it seemed, offered me a whiskey beverage. I opted for an old fashion, and my man knows how to make a fine beverage. Once I sat in the chair, I was transparent and explained that I'm not too complicated, but needed a tight fade with a cut on top that doesn't show off my widow's peak. I did ask if they would recommend anything else, and this is where they won. I asked Rust Belt about this a while back and they explained a bunch of different styles that my hair couldn't actually do. This place however, was real and transparent. They explained the limited options I had (which I was cool with) and said what would honestly be the best move. I asked for a short textured cut and he just used razors on everything but the top. No point cutting or anything that could add texture.
