I also noticed the workers were going around cleaning the areas and checking in to see if customers needed help, which I really appreciated. Think of anything you could for your home, and you will find some version of it here. The selection is immense, ranging from furniture to decor to kitchenware. We left with some great faux plants, an artificial tree, some amazing Serta pillows, etc. Some great items for sure! Staff were helpful and kind, and the store is kept very tidy. The emphasis here is on made in India and China furniture and furnishings -- with a decent selection of kitchenware and gadgets. No clothes, jewelry, shoes or fancy foodstuffs in this iteration of the ever evolving chain of stores owned by TJX. Homesense improves on the chaotic and frenetic merchandising practices of its relatives. In other words -- you will find the aisles logically organized with more limited and better curated selections. If you are looking for that odd off price piece -- like a sofa, chair, table, love seat, carpet or new china, this place is worth a look. As with all the other TJX retail stores, you are buying "off the floor" which means that the stuff has been sat in, handled, returned, jostled about, dinged, etc. -- so inspect carefully before buying -- especially with the higher priced furniture and carpets. Top Tip: Shares a parking lot with Trader Joe's -- which means PACKED on Saturdays. Best shopping experience is early or late -- midweek.

This location is an absolute mess. There's a rare situation when I'm in the area for work, realize I forgot something and have to pop in. 'Popping in' means spending around an hour, since there are a ton of shoppers here and they keep ONE register open. Not great Hobby Lobby. Will avoid at all costs unless it's a dire situation.

Called on the phone ( Thursday, 7 May, 2020) to make sure there were open before arriving. Once I arrived at the store, the door was locked. A sales lady was inside, she act as if I wasn't there. Finally I got her attention, she walked to the door. I was trying to asked if they were open. Again, she act as if you couldn't hear me. Once she unlocked the door and guarded it like it was Fort Knox, I asked again if they were open... she said no, no, no and closed and locked the door abruptly and walked away. I can only hope she is not a ambassador of the people of Paterson. Please, please advise this individual on how to be professional and courteous at their job. The staff throughout the store was underwhelming and it took us quite a while to find items we were looking for. The front end staff was really very helpful. At the pickup desk on the back of the store, there needs to be better management of time and staff. The few times I've been there, there is a long line to pickup product and the staff seemed very overwhelmed. I would come here with the intentions that it will take longer than you expect.

My partner and I managed to get an artificial Christmas cedar wreath and two cedar garlands for outdoors. They are getting a bit expensive, generic, and limited, but their quality is much better.
