When we started searching for furniture for our new house a few years ago Derbyshire popped up on just about every list I checked and had plenty of great reviews. Now that we've made a few of our own purchases I totally understand the praise this small business gets. The shop is small but mighty and packed with so many good pieces. If your style leans traditional - they've got it. If your style leans more contemporary/modern - they've got it. Plus a few things in between that could go in either direction and work with just about any style or decor. Everything is solid wood and totally customizable. You can pick your stain or paint plus your hardware (should you order something with hardware, of course). The couple that owns the shop have always been very kind and very patient, answering all the questions... especially when I was coming in every other week for too many weeks to look at dressers before I finally made up my mind. Lead time was accurate, delivery days/times were accommodating and the guys that arrived to place our items were totally courteous. For our last order/delivery the guys didn't leave until they leveled our dressers perfectly. I didn't even have to ask.. they just did it and that's how a good delivery and install team should operate. Truly, I only have good things to say about Derbyshire. Next piece of wood furniture that we need I will definitely be stopping in Derbyshire first to check things out.

After visiting popular stores like Raymour & Flanigan and Ashley, we ultimately found exactly what we were looking for at Bob's Discount Furniture -- and at very reasonable prices. (To be fair, the other stores had great options too; it just came down to personal style and preferences.) One highlight for me was the Montana White King Bookcase Bedroom Set -- absolutely loved it! It was on the pricier side at $2,700, but totally worth it. Another huge plus was their white glove delivery service. For a flat fee of $349 (once your order exceeds a certain amount), they deliver, assemble all the furniture, clean up, and remove all packaging -- a true game-changer. We ended up ordering everything from them just to take advantage of this stress-free setup. We purchased beds (king and queen), a dresser, nightstands, a sofa-loveseat set, and a dining table. Special thanks to Shubhen Roy, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He spent 3-4 hours with us over multiple visits, was patient, knowledgeable, and always accommodating. Even after the order was placed, I was able to call him and add a few items before delivery without any hassle. Our bulk order was delivered on the promised date, and the team set up two full bedroom sets (bedframe, dresser, nightstands, mirror), the sofa set, and the dining table -- all within two hours. I hadn't even started using it yet -- this was during the initial setup. That alone was very disappointing for brand-new furniture. What made the experience worse was the customer service. When I called to request a certificate of insurance for my building, I was treated poorly on the phone. The representative was unhelpful and dismissive, which added unnecessary frustration to an already disappointing situation.

Buying furniture should be an exciting experience, but this place managed to turn it into a stressful and frustrating nightmare. From the moment we walked in, the staff acted like helping customers was a burden. The attitude was cold, dismissive, and at times outright rude. The furniture looks nice in the showroom, but once it's delivered you quickly realize the quality doesn't match the price at all. It feels cheaply made and nowhere near what you'd expect after paying so much. What upset me the most was how the store responded when I tried to address the problems. Instead of taking responsibility or even showing basic concern, they were dismissive and unhelpful. It honestly felt like once they had the money, they simply didn't care anymore. After numerous phone calls and the games they played, I finally spoke to manager Spiro who blamed a leather couch falling apart after 3 months on me. Please look at the shocking pictures below that were sent to them and they didn't care. I regret spending my money here. This experience was frustrating, exhausting, and completely avoidable if the store actually valued its customers. After taking a look the sales guy comes back and says they can do it for 1500. Wow what an awesome deal I thought... ill take it. So I pay and upon looking at the receipt a different model purple matress is listed I go back in to ask why a diffent model is listed. After some back and forth they claim the wrong label was on the matttess and they could never sell this mattees for that low. Kind of felt like a bait and switch show the fancy mattress and deliver a cheaper version. Maybe it was an honest mistake but I thougnt I was getting an amazing mattress at a great deal and instead left disappointed and annoyed. Wont be buying my mattress here thats for sure

It took around a full year to receive and have the products installed. The installation technician had to come out 4 times because each time there were items missing that precluded him from finishing the job. When contacting the store about these issues they either were non-responsive or sometimes provided bizarre and unprofessional responses including suggesting I go to Target to see if they would have any of the missing hardware. Another time it was suggested I pick up the products from their internal workroom to expedite the process. Ultimately this was a very frustrating and expensive experience in which the service provided was completely unacceptable.
