Just all around a great guy and easy to get a long with! Its all inclusive, meaning there are some drinks (like powerade and water) but you can also bring your own, he has snacks like peanut butter crackers and nuts but you can also bring your own food as well, you're covered for your licenses while fishing with him and he does inshore and offshore. we did the in shore trip bc the water was too choppy for off shore but again we had an amazing time! Very nice and personable guy! if you're looking for a charter this is youre guy! We will be keeping his info and using him every time we come down which will be at least once a year. He has all the gear you need just bring yourself and a cooler for your fish and any extra drinks or snacks you want. he made it easy and seamless! Captain Kirk you're the best!! It was really choppy even fishing in shore so it made the fishing a little rough but he still got us on some fish and we saw dolphins and tons of wildlife along the way and some navy ships as well. While it was meant to be a fishing trip it was a bit of sight seeing as well! We got to feed the pelicans and other birds scraps while he filleted our fish up and it was so cool how close they were, he really made it a memorable experience for my first trip to florida ever and me and my husbands first real vacay together! Even one of the times he reeled a pole in we ended pulling up and big awesome conch shell!! What are the odds?!? Seriously made our trip that much better!!

Cousin from Ohio wanted to take her sons out fishing on ocean because they live to fish back home…read more She found Black Dog and Captain Nelson was great in getting scheduled and even warned us the weather might not cooperate. Met at the marina and he gave us the safety drill and talked about different types of fishing options and fish that might catch. Got the boat in the water and off we went. He did say the water was choppy and almost thought about cancelling but decided it was calm enough after talking to a few captains that had gone out earlier. The ride out 12 miles was a bit rough but not bad. Once we anchored it was rocky but we managed. If you even remotely think you might get seasick take a Dramamine. I've been in boat and cruises with no issues but today I got mildly queasy.. Captain Nelson helped the boys (aged 9 and 13) set their bait and how to use his poles. They had a great time. They started catching pretty decent sized red snapper right off the bat. Captain was super great with the 9yo teaching him technique, telling him about all the different types of fish, etc. About the 5th catch was a big one! The 13yo fought for his life reeling in a huge red fish! He was so excited as it was biggest fish he's ever caught and the captain said it was one of largest he's had in that area in well over a year! Experienced fisherman or not this charter was educational and fun. Captain was great with the kids and entertaining for us all. If looking for a unique way to spend 4 hours this is a good option. Highly suggested!! On the way back to the marina we even had to pull over as a USNavy submarine was heading out...the boys loved it and I gotta so I've never been that close to a sub either so was pretty dang cool!
