The items here are one-of-a-kind. I picked up a cassette tape-styled magazine/folder rack for hubs and earrings I couldn't pass up for me. They have candles in a variety of themes for owl lovers, mushroom lovers, yoga enthusiasts, etc. While some may find the prices a little steep (I overheard a guy trying to convince his girlfriend to just buy candles in the dollar store because it's so much cheaper), the prices are not terribly unreasonable. I didn't come to Mirabai to awaken any spirits- but I do like crystals and came here to select a few for the positive energy they release and personal development and found Citrine, Moonstone, Hematite(?). But aside from stones and things, these folks also carry cute decor such as votive candle holders, Black Russian stone tiles that I use to anchor a candle holder or could use on its own and a few other things. I can't believe I've walked by this shop a million times without going in. Chatted with the store owner who filled us in his travels to Turkey to bring the most interesting Tribal Rugs to the heart of Woodstock. He even went into detail about the weave and the type wool it takes to create a tasteful rug. Ok...Good information. You'll notice Anatolia by all the decorative pillows and small area rugs outside his shop. Inside is small, but loaded- he's been in business for a long time, so we didn't second-guess his expertise. We were also looking for a non-slip pad to go with our rug to place it underneath- but was out of those. He was kind enough to provide us with a binder full of non-slip samples to choose from and if we liked, we can jot down the (800) number to order ourselves. My small Persian rug and the decorative pillow we purchased, are excellent quality and didn't hurt our pockets. I wanted to shop til I dropped and replace some of our imitation Persian rugs with the real deal- but that's not gonna happen just yet.

As others have said, Scott is amazing. Very helpful, knowledgeable, relaxed, patient, and has been amazingly easy to deal with pre and post-sale. We aren't carpet specialists by any means but, being a bit OCD, needing a carpet and living a couple blocks from ABC, have done a decent amount of research online and on each floor of ABC to understand how rugs are made, what goes into the cost, and what was important to us. Ultimately ABC was just too expensive. At Anatolia, we were surprised to spot a rug that was beautiful, hand-knotted, and had the little details (subtle color variations from vegetable dyes made in small batches) that we loved at a much much more affordable price. Scott even made it easy to try it at home to make sure it worked for us. They also had some great antique rugs, but we had already decided that a new one was a better fit for our situation. Overall, a really a surprising and terrific experience. We'll certainly be back and will be recommending them to everyone.

These ladies have a selection of minimalist-meets-unusual lifestyle and home items ranging from candles, door stoppers, jewelry, blankets, throws, outdoor mats and so much more done tastefully. This was almost a one-stop-shop place for us as we crossed some people off our Christmas list. Between the sofa pillow I got for my Mom, (2) small ceramic candle holders, a fuzzy scarf and tapered candles- things were looking good.
